I loveddd this episode

J Knight

The dub was worse than I remembered LOL

J Knight

I just joined Patreon for AOT and was a bit sad when I heard "dub". But then I realised, that I don't actual see the dub here, so I could watch happily in Japanese and the reaction was still great! Only weird thing was suddenly, in one scene, hearing super loudly the word "family" in English when in Japanese there was nothing LOL

Mikisillustrations

Hell yeah! y'all went dub!

Juan

I am just happy I joined this Patreon, because now I can watch your reaction and sync up the dub. I first watched this show in Sub, and loved the show. Did my first rewatch in dub and it was soooo much better. I don't understand why English speakers go out of their way to watch something in another language when their language is available, especially in an animated format. All voice actors are reading off a script and seeing the same animation, so to say "it's better in it's native language"...is just BS. Some actors are better than others, that is always true in every media faction, but to say an entire language of a show is... that's just lazy. Rant over, love your guys' reaction.

JBurley

I fully understand the decision to go dub for these episodes. It's makes it way easier to take in all the information without having to pause/go back to read all the subtitles, wich of course you can't do since your vids are in watch along format! Love from Sweden!

Fabian Wik

Out of all dubs I've listened to, the AoT dub is one of the better ones out there. I dislike the english VA's for our main trio, but everyone else is alright and listenable. I don't mind the switch to dub at all, I think Grisha's english VA is pretty good

Sophie So

Why do people keep giving stupid advice lol

Jules

I really wish people would stop on the sub over dub war, crikey crumbs

MooLake

Dub?? Darn, was excited but don't think I'll be able to watch these two episodes

Beau Crawford

Y'all not giving mason enough credit for his photograph prediction. That was the wildest prediction I've seen and I'm surprised no one spoiled it every time he mentioned it in the previous episodes lol

Nobu

I think it's because they already watched 3 seasons with Sub and many people got attached to them. If they had started with dub people would have advised them to switch to sub but wouldn't have taken it as seriously. But switching out of the blue like that is a little un-expected and slightly disappointing. Now, as for your last statement, AOT has great dub, but it has phenomenal sub. The Japanese voice actors clearly have more experience and the viewer can feel the emotions in certain scenes.

Galadriel

Alright calm down, don’t need to start swearing and calling me names I don’t deserve. You’re the one who’s technically crying and throwing a fit all cause I commented wishing they just stuck with the sub

~Mercedeez Lee~

Bro you just a cry baby bich I watch ther reaction in dub the whole time they been watching in sub it don’t change shi but a little bit of words yall are some meat muching cry babies

RunAwayCloak

Bro shut up this is why people don’t watch anime bc of the toxic community let them watch the way the feel like dam

RunAwayCloak

no fr, i love aot, its my fave show, but some of these guys are goin insane

Michael Lugo

did they not say they these ONLY 2 ep will be watched in dub??? Or am I missing something. They said it so nicely too, what's with the fuss??

Geewonie

How did quinn came up with a photograph guess before hand?

🍀

Damn, Normally i enjoy going through the comments but some people need to chill tf out. You Taking the fun out of this. Seriously is it ever THAT serious

Liona N

Save your opinion to yourself yet you’re the one crying about dub. Like I said, calm down and don’t complain about their decisions. I’m done arguing with you. Toodles.

CT

So you the one who being dramatic then by replying to my comment? If telling them to stick to subs just bcs I’m dont think they will not have a great review after bcs of dub is whining to you, then you having a problem here. So stop commenting and save your opinion to yourself.

chonkybae

Agreed

Jundae

No ones being a dick here except you. I never said you can’t have your opinion, just that it’s dramatic. Stop whining about them changing their viewing experience to something that they can enjoy. 😒

CT

Its not being dramatic. Just posting my opinion because i support them by subcribing to their patron? U being a dick for calling people dramatic and such. Of course by supporting them I try to tell then its best to stick to sub but of course people like you calling us dramatic just for having an opinion. 🙄

chonkybae

Dramatic much? Also if you didn’t notice, they tell us that they are only doing dub for these 2 episodes.

CT

Honestly whether sub or dub I feel like both are very enjoyable and have their moments. I think people are way too harsh on the dub for no reason. Just stick to what you find easiest!!!

ale

Dub makes for far easier reactions, I don't have to look at my subtitles so I can actually see you guys react lol

dannydarko27

I still watched the episode in sub, it didn’t really make any difference.

Daniel Luna

Completely understand why you guys switched to dub for these 2 episodes, however i will say honestly (just my opinion) it takes away so much of the emotion and experience. I really dont think you would’ve gained more information listening in english compared to reading with subs. Either way, ill always be here to tune in no matter what 👊🏼

zimy__

And Dave literally explained it SO nicely! It really upsets me how many people are throwing a tantrum over it.

Calcifer

As a sub enjoyer I’m sorry people are so annoying about dub vs sub

Makayla Paige

Sad you watched it in English, honestly. The information overload isn't much in the dialogue ...

Dennis Reynolds

Thanks for the respond. I understand where you’re coming from. As to me a native asian, I can understand the nuance in Japanese culture/wordings they used in anime and it might not be the same for western country thus the English wording might not be correct in some places. I encouraged you guys to take your time and if needed to rewind back in your analysis segment, please do so. And remember for season 4 there’s a lot more info dump in most episodes. And when the time comes, will you guys choose dub again? For now badd medicine still have my support and will continue to support. ✌🏻

chonkybae

Do people not listen to the intro??? Sooooo many people complaining about them switching to dub as if that’s the rest of the series but they explain in the intro. Genuinely braindead some of these people

Sean Carroll

Only for two episodes, next week back to sub

Sean Carroll

dub means i can put you guys in the bottom corner of my screen again! either way - LETS GOOO

CharlotteRose

Damn finally joined the Patreon but they’re switching over to dub? LOL rip

DepressedSoggyWaffle

When Quinn first made the statement that they would find a family photo in the basement, my jaw dropped at that spot on prediction. Also I understand that you want all the information, going dub is a great idea to take in information. But may I suggest, that you watch in sub Japanese first then English dub, that way you take in the original content first, then on the second watch in English to fully hear the details

TheMilkMan

How though? Armin is a young adult male. I'm Japanese, he sounds like a little girl. Literally. How does that fit him in any conceivable way?

Marco Gutierrez

I hope it's only these two episodes that are in English and not all of the upcoming ones. I ma cry if that's the case.

Kushal

I didn’t mean to come across as rude, it’s just an opinion and my take on things. If it comes off as rude then I apologise, unlike some other sub watchers, I do not hate on dub anime. Like I’ve said multiple times already, I watch anime in dub too, just not AOT. I don’t know how any of my comments talk down or badly on the dub but if people found offence to them then I’m sorry. I was really looking forward to seeing the guys reaction to these episodes so badly, now I can’t cause the dub in AOT is just not for me

~Mercedeez Lee~

Bro stop with the disrespect. They absolutely can match the emotion and delivery....because they are literal professionals, same as the Japanese VAs, many of whom have been VAing for decades at this point. And in fact, I actually prefer Erwin, Levi and Hange in dub. You just think Japanese *sounds* cooler. That's it.

Ryan

I completely agree with all your points mentioned here, honestly, and I have very similar feelings. But I do think you came across as rude and uppity in your earlier comments and rubbed many people the wrong way. I think they might do this method in the future, so I guess you'll have to see if you can live with that. It's definitely not what I prefer, but I still enjoyed the reaction with the dub, though less than I would the sub

Who Really Cares

I want to see their reactions to the original/raw, not the dub so I don’t mind missing out this time, I want to enjoy their reactions but I won’t be able to cause of the switch. I can just wait till next uploads, hopefully they stick to subs though from the next episode and onwards. They don’t always have to take in all the information given in the first watch and it’s not expected of them, that’s why rewatching after or at a later date is an option so they can pick up on things they missed in the first watch. This is a very popular method used amongst AOT fans & one I prefer rather then just switching over to dub to try and get a better understanding when it’s just not the same as the original, they can always try out dub in a rewatch if they want to. Completely unrelated to the dialogue differences but the one thing that kinda bugs me a little with reaction channels is the random switching between sub and dub. I enjoy it better when they just stick to one version the whole way through. I mean even if they were reacting to another anime, they started it with dub and are 3 seasons in, I would appreciate it if they just stuck with the dub the whole way through to the end and not switch to sub half way

~Mercedeez Lee~

Honestly that was my worry as well - but by season 3 the major differences between the English dub and sub translations basically disappeared. I hadn't seen this episode in dub before, but much of it was basically word for word the same as the sub. Aside from calling the basement the cellar and other such things, lol. The only "major" difference I have any sort of gripe with would be when Levi is telling Armin to not let Eren, Mikasa, or Armin himself regret the choice to bring Armin back. In the sub, Levi says "I won't regret my choice" but in the dub he says "don't let me regret it". Might seem minor, but if you know his character, you know why the nuance matters. Anyway, you are doing yourself a disservice by skipping these two reactions just because of that. I almost did, and I would have regretted it ;)

Who Really Cares

Guess it's a matter of taste... and which version you watch first, I'm sure. I personally don't think Armin's dub voice actor fits him at all, same with Hange and Eren. But of course I watched sub first so those voices are strongly connected to the characters in my mind. Levi and Erwin are great in both I think, though

Who Really Cares

Though I think it would have been better to keep with the sub and then re-watch in the dub, mostly cause it's jarring to suddenly have different voices and I think distracts from the experience, I can accept this lol. I would suggest re-watching the two episodes in sub after, though, because of the nuances in the translation differences. Both to catch details you may have missed and to solidify the information

Who Really Cares

oh its just two episodes. Not a big deal at all. The fact people make a big deal about it is embarassing but welcome to anime fandoms. Even watching the whole thing is not bad but I'd just say its better in its original

joe

tatakae vs "fight". I am not hating on dub but its just doesn't hit the same.

joe

It is unfortunate people still gate keep dub and sub. Sometimes you just need to take a chill pill and stop being children. AOT has great sub and dub.

Ronald Bohne

I don't really understand the fuss about sub or dub? Guys we literally only get to hear the first 10 seconds of the video and then the rest is blurred due to copyright. I get that people want them to experience/appreciate the dub, and I am EXTREMELY positive that they do, but ultimately THEY are the content creators. If you as the consumer prefer to watch the sub or dub, then do so. You can still sync the videos with either sub or dub. Switching to English is in no way, shape, or form saying that the Japanese voice actors were lacking. Actually they did an absolutely fantastic job! But so did the English! Backseating how someone watches a show is the same vibe as backseating a video game. We all subbed to this Patreon because we love watching the guys reactions. Let them have the freedom to create the content we all love.

Calcifer

It's not just a matter or watching it in a different language. It's a completely different experience. The english VAs cannot match the emotion or deliver the lines the same way as the Japanese VAs can. Really hope you guys watch the rest of the series in the original language

Mehdi R.

The evil chuckle I let out every time Mason Quinn joked about the family picture in the basement LOL Can't wait to watch yall's reaction

Violet Lebouf

Like I keep saying, I watch dub anime too, just not AOT. It’s the only anime I stick to sub/raw. The only one, so I have no big issue with dub overall. It’s just AOT I refuse to watch outside the original

~Mercedeez Lee~

It's because that's how weebs are. It's always elitism with them. They think they're superior for watching it in a language they don't understand and like somehow they'll get street cred in Japan for doing that, and yet Japanese people would look at them weird for doing it because "why would you ever watch something in a language you don't understand if you can avoid it?"

Marco Gutierrez

Obviously I know subs aren’t an accurate translation, I understand Japanese to some extent when being spoken. I’ve picked up on some of the language over the years. If you think I’m throwing a fit over the dub, you guys are very naive. At least my reasonings ain’t as shallow as some of the other sub watchers that don’t even understand a word of Japanese

~Mercedeez Lee~

Weeb

Marco Gutierrez

This sounds very elitist to me Paris. What exactly is so bad about this dub? All I ever hear from sub elitists is that the Japanese has so much more emotion, as if it's completely impossible for English speakers to convey emotion. What they want is ridiculous and over the top performances that leave voice actors with ripped vocal chords because aparently that's how people speak? It's so silly. Fact is that the overwhelming majority of dubs are good. Like, pretty much every single one. Because characters get cast based on the voices that they would naturally sound like, instead of Armin getting voiced by a woman in Japanese and thus making him sound like an 8 year old girl. There's literally no defense for that.

Marco Gutierrez

You guys watched it in dub! I'm so glad ya'll gave it a chance. Though I'm sure you'll go right back to watching it in the original Japanese, I'm just glad you guys got to experience the voice acting with voices that more naturally fit the characters. Armin sounding like a girl, and thus you guys confusing him for one in the early episodes, is a perfect example of why I can't stand Japanese voice casting. There's no rhyme or reason to the casting, they just pick voices based on the character's personality as if that has any effect on your vochal chords.

Marco Gutierrez

Man you people get your way for 3 seasons but the moment you spot the slightest bit of English, you freak out! You know what else isn't a direct translation? Subs. Turns out that anime companies prefer to do their translations in a way that reads/sounds naturally in that langauge. The notion that you can't convey the meaning of something without directly translating words one for one is a ridiculous one.

Marco Gutierrez

Again, it doesn't have to be like that. I am a dub fan of AoT and I am happily watching along with them without complaining. At the end of the day, you've got 4 dudes who are loving AoT and we should be happy regardless how they're ingesting it. We gotta be the change we want to see and we don't want new anime watchers to be put off by people being crazy about subs and dubs.

DahGecko

Please ignore people complaining about the dub you're watching for your own enjoyment keep on rocking!

Gale

That’s because they started it in sub, if they started it in dub then continued it in dub and suddenly switched to sub. It would get the same reaction. It happens all the time with reaction channels, they build the fandom up on one side and the reactions will always turn negative when they make a switch

~Mercedeez Lee~

"I know for a fact that once this drops over on YouTube, the comment section is gonna be a mess." You can help stop that by just letting people watch how they want, man. When they chose to watch this show in its subtitled format, did a bunch of people freak out in the comments? We need to ditch the elitism and stop scaring away newcomers to the anime scene. Subs and dubs can live in peace! :)

DahGecko

Obviously I know that the English dub has no choice but to switch words up to match with the lip sync of the animation. That’s the problem. Those switches in dialogue will give off different meanings, it is what plays a major role in interpreting the story in a different way. You may not think it changes much but it really does. Like I said in another comment, I do watch dub with other series and they do give off a completely different vibe to the story than the sub because of many factors but the one I have a problem with the most is the dialogue switch up. For other series I don’t mind as much but that’s cause I ain’t as passionate about them as I am with AOT. It can also play into changing someone’s view on a characters personality and intention as well. There is a difference. I never said the dub is disappointing in any way. Also I can’t help but want to have them experience the series on the same wavelength I did, in its original. I know first timers won’t adjust to subs right away, it can be jarring which is normal but suddenly switching to a different interpretation in the middle of the series is also jarring, especially for those of us that don’t watch the dub ( even if it’s just for 2 episodes ). Which can be the same for when someone started to react to a series in dub but then suddenly switch it to subs. I know for a fact that once this drops over on YouTube, the comment section is gonna be a mess

~Mercedeez Lee~

You're making a mountain out of a molehill. There are subtle dialogue differences to fit the animation, not sweeping plot changes and completely different scenarios. You're acting like its an entirely different show when you just said you haven't watched it dub. Its cool you've watched the subs so many times that you know every single piece of dialogue, but for regular and first time watchers if they feel like they can pick things up easier (especially these episodes!) then they should be able to do that without being told its disappointing.

Bloodmages

Unlike majority of other anime watchers here, I don’t actually really need to read the subtitles anymore. I have memorised and can understand the original audio of AOT from rewatching it many times and with being an anime fan for many years ( I’ve picked up on the language )

~Mercedeez Lee~

If you would like a refund, we're happy to provide one for this month. We encourage you to watch the video after the intro for more context on our decisions. Ultimately, we aim to do what's best for everyone involved here and also what's best for us to take information, and we support you in making the choice that's right for you. 🤙

Badd Medicine

Because like I explained in another comment, the dialogue is just not the same. So while they’re experiencing the story being told in a different way, I’ll be stuck on the original dialogue since I haven’t experienced the dub. So there’s no point. Is it so wrong of me to want to have the same experience as them ? Is it really that weird

~Mercedeez Lee~

"Just like it’s completely fine for people to experience the series in dub, it should be fine for those like myself who don’t want to" Why are you telling them to rewatch it with subs then, you're disappointed, not gonna watch etc? Just cause its your favorite anime or whatever, doesn't give you the right to dictate how people watch. If you don't want to watch it, fine, but its super weird to comment that you're just completely going to skip it and not even bother with syncing with subs.

Bloodmages

Guys, please stick with sub. What I’m trying to say is, dub not giving the same emotion, same meaning as sub. As someone from Asia country and currently learning Japanese, I would say, dub is missing a lot! Dub is not wrong, what wrong is, they dont give us the same meaning as sub. If you guys stick with dub I guess its my time to cancel my support.

chonkybae

Every time Mason said “It’s a photograph!” I would laugh waiting for this moment. I’ll give him this one.

Kel

The dialogue is not the same, it as simple as that. Different dialogues leads to a different understanding of what the story and script is trying to tell its audience. That’s why it makes no sense to try and sync the dub with the sub on a watch along cause it just ain’t the same

~Mercedeez Lee~

Is it really that wrong of me to be passionate about my favourite anime of all time to the point that I only want to experience it in its original format ? Just like it’s completely fine for people to experience the series in dub, it should be fine for those like myself who don’t want to

~Mercedeez Lee~

Just a quick note: my not liking the AOT dub has nothing to do with the voice acting. I watch many other anime in dub as well as sub like Naruto, One Piece, Demon Slayer, JJK, My hero etc. Even though I’m very bias towards the Japanese voice actors, especially Yuki Kaji ( The only V.A I’ll accept as Eren, no one is on the same level as him ). My main issue is to do with the ‘difference in dialogue’ between the two languages, Japanese and English. Attack on Titan is my favourite anime & manga of all time. It is such a complex series that the messages and information in it does not translate spot on in the English dub. That is just something I can’t look past

~Mercedeez Lee~

Bro that is just absolutely pathetic, skipping something because it isn’t one way is as childish as it gets

Sean Carroll

No episode in season 4 is more complicated plot wise then ep 20 and 21 of season 3

Sean Carroll

Now I can finally say it ! YES! It is a photo ! lmao.

Rena Unnie

Way too many whiners about dub. It's perfectly fine, even tho I watched sub when I first saw it way back.

Lisa Borth

It is not weird to consider the dub good. There is a lot of quality to the english actors' performances. I do not think you should make assumptions on people without knowing them. There could be many reasons for why someone's opinion is the way it is.

MynamecouldB

I’ve never watched AOT in the dub but I will say that I’m quite impressed but not surprised at how well done the voice acting is. So this was fun to watch along and have a new experience with you guys as most of the things I watch along with you guys are movies and tv shows I’ve already seen before. I will say though that when these episodes were airing I only was able to contextualize everything because I decided to read the manga starting in the beginning of season 3 cause at the time I was like wtf is going on. AOT is overall a good complex story that I’m happy to share the ride with you guys and I can’t wait for season 4 to know your opinions on our protagonists journey. When it was premiering there were a lot of good think pieces and breakdowns from so many different points of view I’m excited to hear yours.

Jae

You can still sync with the sub. Hope this helps!

Lovisa🍭

Can you guys please just rewatch the episodes again in ‘your own time’ if you feel like you missed stuff when they’re considered information dumps episodes, cause just like any dub in anime history, it is not a direct translation of the original and can indirectly change the script of the series. That’s why it’s always best to watch these type of episodes in sub, not dub. Damn I can’t believe I have to skip this weeks reaction cause AOT is the only anime where I refuse to watch it in dub. I was really looking forward to the reactions too…

~Mercedeez Lee~

Right? I’m a hardcore AOT in Sub watcher but honestly whichever one makes their viewing experience easier should always be at the forefront. Plus.. the Dub is not bad at all. Cause at the end of the day, they are experiencing this for the first time.

Tiffany

This right here. At the end of the day they are the ones experiencing it for the first time, whatever makes them most comfortable while watching should always take priority ☕️

Tiffany

Omg yes the sweating looking at each other meme 😂

Julio Salazar

I would have to look at the imaginary camera like in The Office everytime 💀

Tiffany

Welp guys, as you can see, when Mason made his prediction with le photograph.. I had me a big ol laugh. Cause technically, he wasn’t wrong lol. Also the Dub isn’t bad at all, it’s cool to watch this show in both languages cause you could experience it differently. Hope this was all you guys hoped for ❤️🪽

Tiffany

now that you almost finish season 3 it would be great if you guys react to Hiroyuki Sawano / Project【emU】 “Attack on Titan” suite. is the soundtrack from season 1 to season 3 composed by hiroyuki sawano, it would be like saying goodbye to this amazing 3 seasons produced by Wit Studio, Season 4 is produced by another studio (Mappa Studio) and the music composed by another director (Kohta Yamamoto)

eren llega

@Lukas Hentze. I understand cause I’m rlly hyped about s4 and while the Annie ova isn’t crucial to the story, it’s still really important to watch. You can see more abt her character

Peeker

Nah just give us S4 already :D

Lukas Hentze

You guys should have watched 3x19 3x20 and 3x21 together, just like the last two weeks you've been watching 3 in a row

Lucas Alves

You guys are trying the dub?? Praise the anime gods🙏

Scott Bringel

When the picture came out. The answer: bombastic side eye Mason: looking smug Also, that conversation with Armin. Like you guys talked about, Levi said "no regrets" like in his OVA

Alexiani Gollarza

Friendly reminder to please watch the Annie Ova "Wall Sina, Goodbye: Pt 1 & 2" after finishing S3

Peeker

For first time anime watchers, watching anime in dub isn’t bad 😄 that’s how I started with anime. I have not watched AoT in dub but you should watch it however you want. The discourse on sub vs dub will unfortunately never go away

Gigi

as soon as mason quinn made the photograph crack theory in early s3, i couldn't hold in my laughter

Peeker

Don’t mind the dub, but I don’t see the supposed info dump in this episode that warranted it. Next two episodes, maybe tho 👍

Sanji

How did Quinn know?!?! Quinn the Prophet, here.

A

Dub or sub, as long as you guys enjoy what you're watching, I don't really mind. Sometimes I feel like western Voice Actors don't get enough credits. This isn't the 90s any more and there are so many talented, dedicated VAs working in Anime. AOT is actually one of the series that have really good western dub.

Butthats

I advocate for good dubs as well but this show isn't one of them. I don't mind them watching in dub but to say the dub is good for this show seems... a little weird. Maybe this was the first anime you watched and it was in dub and you got nostalgia baited? For me, I think good dubs would be death note, fmab, code geass. The dubs for these shows are arguably better than the sub. I can't say the same for AoT.

Sanji

THE PHOTOGRAPH HAHA!

Lu

I'm confused. I watched along with a sub copy. How would them watching it as dubbed even bother you? It's blurred out. Speaking of entitled, I think you need to check yourself.

Bartimaeus

This is the day

Artem Dmytrenko

Yay been so excited for this week! I am watching along in sub so hopefully the subtitles aren't saying something too different to the dub haha but glad you guys are watching it in a way that makes it easier for you. We all really appreciated the 3 episode drops 2 weeks in a row and so glad you are enjoying the series so much!!! I can't wait to find out what anime you do next

Katie Madsen

Answer said he thinks there were books down there. So answer also had a correct theory!

Skellyp

The dub is good for this show and for many anime. I will always advocate for good dubs because they can elevate the experience by being in your native language.

MynamecouldB

Same.

Eric

Why they're doing it makes perfect sense. it was also recommended by many of us.

Manny D.

They explain immediately in the video...

Manny D.

sure, well cross that bridge when we get there

Ihakara Waata Toby

I don’t think it’s gonna be only these 2 episodes. Some later episodes in season 4 are MUCH more brainfu**** and full of informations.. I think they come back to the dub later on😅

DustinEatWorld

Happy AoT Monday!

Jennimo

But the later episodes in season 4 are WAY more brainfu**** and complex…This right now is peanuts. If you decided to watch these 2 episodes in dub then you should do it again later…😅 I don’t want that to happen because I think the dub is quiet bad. Especially Eren and Armin🙄😅

DustinEatWorld

Me personally think info dump episodes are way better in sub. At least for me i retain info better when i read it instead of hear it.

Raffalius

I honestly don’t understand why anyone has a problem with the dub in a watch along format. You don’t hear it and they did it for themselves and just for two episodes? Please don’t take away from this amazing moment we finally reached in their reactions by complaining like little kids or not even bothering to listen to the first 5 min when they explain their reasoning and the fact that it’s for 2 eps only. Great reactions guys!

Bambina

The amount of us holding our tongues back everytime Mason said something about a photograph like. lmao

Julio Salazar

Probably because it's a lot of info to process at once, english would be easier for them, I do hope they see it in the sub again though

Pocketsleuth

Great stuff guys! This information is pretty important going forward for the story. Some really awesome story coming up

Ivan Rasmussen

They are free to do whatever they want to help them as a viewer. This is their watch, not yours

Ivan Rasmussen

All good

Badd Medicine

Thanks for the clarification Dave, I'm at work and only read the description, sorry for the unnecessary hate my comment might have caused!!

Fer I

Wow , this is really smart cause I was afraid y’all won’t get all the information in sub , yeah dub is perfect for these two episodes cause you guys understand it better !

Edwin

I'm so glad this is a watch-along format so we don't have to suffer through the dub ourselves haha. Definitely just watching along with sub and pretending they are as well.

Kevin

Love you guys doing what's best for YOUR viewing experience because at the end of the day, that's what matters. Keep it up fellas!

DahGecko

The dub is definitely C tier... I've heard wayyy better dubs with way better dialogue. At times Aot can sound VERY cringey, so I would never recommend dub for this show.

britt m

Also totally get the decision to watch these episodes in dub. As someone who actually prefers the dub it was a treat 🫣 Great reaction as usual guys!

Lovisa🍭

I think when people recommended you do the dub, they probably meant the next episode and the one after it - this one wasn't info heavy but the next two definitely are, aha. Love being on this journey with ya'll!

They're watching in dub just for this episode and the next. It ain't a big deal, y'all can continue to stream along in sub it's not like there's a speed difference or anything like that. Yeah dub has that extra intro but it's only a few seconds long. On another note, congrats to Quinn for correctly guessing what was in the basement. Great reaction guys, looking forward to the next episode.

I'm Batman

Maybe the real basement was the friends we made along the way

Lovisa🍭

whats up with all the snowflakes complaining about the dub. ITS ONLY FOR 2 EPISODES. you act as if the universe spins around ya 🤣

Ihakara Waata Toby

Quinn did guess photo so yes praises for him 😂

Marbelis

Yall's guys annoyance at the "to be continued" screen is too funny 😭😭

Pathetic_Effort

Thanks for your amazing reaction, I Excited for your reaction it just was a little shocked

Ibraheem

You guys were perfectly clear in the video about why you're doing this! Try to ignore anyone being dramatic on either side of this debate, it's a fight as old as time within the anime community! And definitely don't let it dissuade you from watching dubs in the future as they area great way to watch anime, ESPECIALLY to react to. :)

DahGecko

yay midnight in my timezone but watching this now! The Japanese voice acting is top notch but I get that English dub would be better to get the info in this eps. Support either way!

Chi L

Glad you guys did what was best for you. 2 episodes of Dub won't kill me lol

Zack

We mention it in here. It was just for 56 & 57.

Badd Medicine

As we mentioned in here, we just did the dub for this episode and the next one. We will be going back to sub.

Badd Medicine

Are they going to continue on dub or just this episode?

Ibraheem

No it’s not, it’s quite terrible actually. Especially that Eren titan scream. I know their not watching that part but still. Sends nauseous chills down my spine

Allen Valdes

This does not mess up our fluidity. Yes, you paid to be here, but we aren't forced to watch this in sub or dub.

Badd Medicine

I understand why you're doing English dub because after watching in sub, I went back to watch it in dub a second time to better understand the story.

Donte McLemore

LETS GOOOO? Remeber notes and if u can plz watch Erwins speech in dub, english sounds so much better! Lets gooo

Bruce WayneValley

Either sub or dub are amazing I get peoples aggression at a swap mid way through even as someone who wanted dub from the beginning Either way just enjoy the story and ignore the hate

Dillon

Never said it wasn't, it's just how I felt and it's okay!

Fer I

We explain in the video

Badd Medicine

Fe

Levi talking to the squad. "NO REGRETS"

Renteezy

Why would y’all change to dub? I know yall explained but it makes no sense. I mean to each their own but this really does mess up the fluidity of y’alls watch. It’s a bit annoying too because we paid a patreon where yall were supposed do these in sub. Yall are entitled to your own decision making but nonetheless it feels disappointing as a viewer and paid member

Allen Valdes

The dub for AoT is exceptional, don't be dramatic.

DahGecko

Why dub?

Ibraheem

When Quinn made the comment about the photograph SEASONS ago I had a good laugh. He’s almost always pretty good with his predictions

Clorox bleach G

My heart literally sank when I read this is in English dub, these episodes are full of info so I kinda get it, still it's so weird and I really hope you guys continue with the sub version 😓 Keep up the good work!

Fer I

i mean lets goooo!

VERTICILE
