I was the same when Butcher hit his head and Hugies shin on the fork lift ๐ฉ + Sages lobotomy I deffo thought hughies mum knew hughie had compound V in his jacket which he took off and put over the chair, when he went out i bet hughies mum pinched it out the pocket, i took it as she was being a mum in that moment and made the decision for hughie so hughie didn't have to deal with that guilt incase it goes wrong ๐๐ผ

2024-06-21 15:19:14 +0000 UTCWhat I also find interesting is that Homie didn't kill Barbara. Sure, we can argue that she will most likely die but Homie doesn't know that for sure. Barbara said that the scientists followed her, Stan Edgar, and, Vogelbaum's orders. All 3 people Homie most definitely hates and can instantly kill but hasn't yet. I feel like there is a pattern here. He tortured Vogelbaum, is torturing Barbara (until she dies), and, is constantly trying to one-up Stan but didn't outright kill. I think that the tiniest tiniest shred of humanity left in him is keeping/kept them alive as he sees them as parental figures (the psychological protocol they followed most likely aided in that).

I think there is a bit more to Hughie's mom than we know. If you guys haven't watched it, you should watch at least Episode 7 of The Boys: Diabolical. It was confirmed as canon and shows what happens when you give V to someone with cancer. The V affects the cancer cells and becomes it's own thing. That might be happening with Butcher (Moonknight and Venom combined). As with Hughie's dad, he had a stroke and was declared brain dead. I don't think cancer was mentioned. So, it'll be interesting to see how the V affects him. EDIT: Just FYI, the last 3 episodes of The Boys: Diabolical were confirmed to be canon. In case you wanna watch and haven't already before next week.

2024-06-21 08:28:56 +0000 UTCThat specific tool and hammer are typical for lobotomy. No need for a long surgery and hospitalization. One doctor could lobotomize a dozen people a day. Such tool can be seen in Shutter Island and (probably) many other movies. But even knowing that, I still didn't recognize it in Episode 3. Anyway, it's a fantastic, fresh, and chilling take on people with the supersmart ability.

I don't feel sympathy for the doctors, and the same goes for Homelander - he's still a monster, but Anthony Starr's performance is absolutely amazing. I'm really hoping A-Train won't get killed because they focused on the magazine. Knowing Homelander, he's paranoid and will notice little changes in his apartment. I think that the worm on Butcher will show up soon. Also, Hughie's mom seemed to be eyeing Hughie's jacket when she stepped in. The mom didn't snatch the vial when she tried to hug him because Hughie put down his jacket in the chair. Hughie went to get some air and got coffee without his jacket where the vial is, and when Hughie came back with the coffee, the jacket was in front of the bed frame where the mom was standing, so she put the compound V in the IV. The Annie and Hughie abortion situation wasn't mentioned in the last season. It was a surprise to me as well. Sage gave her the information when they were in the Vought Tower.
