This might be my least favorite episode in the series because of the acting in the trial scene.. it reminded me too much of Mermaid Man from SpongeBob when he says "EVIIILLLL" 🤣 It was so hard to take seriously.

2024-06-12 22:41:49 +0000 UTCThe reason why the gods believed Harrow so quickly is because for one, as they mentioned this episode, Khonshu is banished from the Ennead Council (by the gods) because he kept interfering with humans when the gods were ment to stop interfering with the human world and just use their Avatars to observe. So it is understandable why the gods would just believe Harrow instead of a god they don’t trust and his Avatar who admits that he is unstable. The gods except for Khonshu also aren’t that powerful at the moment because they are not in the human world anymore but in the overvoid, like they also briefly mentioned this episode, so they can only act through their Avatars and even then they should only have Avatars to observe and not interfere. Anyways this reaction was awesome I absolutely can’t wait for the next 2 episodes, they’re the best of the show in my opinion!

The whole willingness of the gods to ignore Konshu was a bit jarring to me too. However, on a rewatch, I realized that right out the gate he (konnie-boy) is presenting himself antagonistically to them. He goes after them - he does not say anything to give evidence against Harrow. He says things to say "You guys aren't paying enough attention and you aren't doing your jobs..." So, it seems like the gods think of Konshu as a radical who is going to do his own thing and get worked up over the world that they have decided to let go it's own way. So, perhaps it's more 'god who cried wolf' than anything else. Especially when it doesn't seem that much of a shock for "abuse" to be a part of the situation. No one asks Harrow to prove he was abused - they just accept it. They don't seem shocked that Mark might be abused either. And, since Mark is visibly rung-out and can't even counter that or add more information on Harrow... yep. Krazy-ol Konshu!
