I second this comment big time. Some very familiar faces and good performances in that one too..

To be fair I always thought it made sense that the person on either side was on the same page so to speak. I always saw it like it took a snapshot of the person and sent one to a different location but at the instance of copying they're both the same. Which is why he could never tell if "he" was the one who would end up in the box or the one to prestige.

I have a Blu-ray copy of the film that is quite old. I found it interesting that the "Warner Bros." and "Touchstone Pictures" logo animations at the beginning of the film are reversed (on Bluray, Warner is first, followed by Touchstone, but on the rented copy you guys used from Amazon, Touchstone is shown first, followed by Warner). I'm not sure I've ever noticed a movie reordering production company logo animations between the streamed and physical versions. For those wondering, you can still start the movie at the same "start sync point;" everything lines up correctly once those two logos appear in reverse order.

No problem 😊

Thank you for clarifying because I have always wondered how Jackman’s character knew what to say when he reappeared if it was a copy. His soul moving to a new body makes much more sense to me. Bless you for clearing up this plot hole for me.

It’s one of the only times where i liked the movie better than the book. Borden is a bigger asshole in the book. He caused Angiers wife to miscarry not die. There rivalry wasn’t as dark. Also the teleportation didn’t make living copies, the old one died and the soul moved into the new body. The ending twist is different as well. The tone in the book is different

Rewatching this film was amazing after knowing the twists and looking for all the hints is great. Fallon/Borden were a lot more sympathetic and were nowhere near as bad as Dalton was. The death of Dalton's wife was an accident, she agreed to the knot that Borden tied, and also the discussion about not doing that knot might not have been mentioned to the twin who tied it that time. The only other negative thing Borden did to Dalton was to ruin Daltons show by injuring the volunteer's fingers. Another negative was how he was unable to balance his relationships due to being obsessed to keeping the fact they were twins a secret. On the other hand, Dalton attempted to murder Borden by putting an actual bullet into the gun, tried many times to steal Borden's tricks via spying and kidnap, and ended up killing multiple clones of himself just so he could frame Borden for murder to get him killed.

Always enjoy this and The Illusionist which came out around the same time (which you should also watch)

I'm with Mason, this is my favorite Nolan film still almost 20 years later. It's the only movie I've ever watched, and as soon as it was done, watched it again.

This one and Dunkirk are my top 2 of Nolan… simple Amazing! I wish I could see this one for the first time again.

This movie never gets old! Amazing how it has a hundred twists. You had several surprised faces all over. Little movies have you trying to guess but not really at the end

I absolutely Love this movie! My personal favorite Nolan film(funny enough, the only one I didn’t know was by Nolan until after the first watch). Every story with a mystery about a magic trick can take one of two paths. The solution is either a grounded, practical solution that comes together once we know all the pieces. The other is that it turns out to be real. This movie managed to give us Both(practical with Alfred Borden/Professor, and real with Angiers/Great Danton). And it’s so loaded with hints, and foreshadowing, and symbolism, I won’t even attempt to try listing them all, or this comment might become its own novel in the comments(I’m sure others will comment their favorites). One I’ll mention that gets missed, is while everyone gets the Tesla/Edison rivalry, the magician that performs the fishbowl trick was a real magician(Chung Ling Soo) that died doing a bullet catch(while the death was ruled accidental, he did have a heated rivalry with another magician. After refusing to pay out a promised reward of $1000 to him after offering to anyone who figured out his tricks, Chung Ling Soo started performing himself, using the stolen tricks in his own act). Glad you all loved it. Happy for any excuse to rewatch again.

Great reaction. A very underrated Nolan film going by it's RT score. Insomnia is a good one too.

🖤 This is my favorite Christopher Nolan movie! It’s just too good, even when I know the end, I’m still amazed every time, like the dialogue at the end, just want to be fooled! 😁 🍿

Hi there! Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately, we're unable to implement it. Several factors influence our editing process, including copyrights, potential blocks, adjustments we make after the initial draft, and more. Regrettably, we can't promise a specific release day, but we always do get them out early here.

Love ya'll! It would be awesome if you could release a weekly schedule of when you'll release YT cuts. I know its more up in the air vs full length but would be cool for the viewers that prefer YT cut so we could plan around certain releases we're extra excited about.

Batman, Wolverine, Black Widow, Alfred, and ... Gollum?

Nice touch there at the end!

They show you in the first scene of the movie with the hats when they ask you if you are paying attention.
