My mom has been hard of hearing my whole life (it runs in my family) and her and I really related to the scene with his son on the phone and Kate being an interpreter, as I have done for her my whole life. I think it is always super refreshing to have a traditionally gifted character like a superhero that also struggles with a real-life disability and how empowering it can be to people who relate

The scene when Kate helps Clint talk to his boy never fails to tug at my heart strings. It was so touching

Moonlight is on their list for May. ☺️

Watching this episode makes me so nostalgic. K B Toys was always where my parents took me as a kid. If we went to Toys'R'Us it was for a specific thing K B didn't carry, like getting a Nintendo for my brother's Christmas present. I still remember when K B started disappearing, heartbreaking as a kid. 😥

Alaqua Cox was great in this, it was a great introduction to Echo as a character. I loved the car chase scene and the whole discussion about the trick arrows. I also love Kate explaining why Jack is a killer "he gave me a butterscotch", "when I tried to stab him in the face he parried like a pro" um, ok...wait, did you say when you tried to stab him in the face?

Alaqua Cox has previous experience training for fighting. I haven't found anything specific, but the stunt coordinator states her style is a mix of MMA and multiple martial arts. She performs all of her own stunts in Hawkeye and Echo.

Also, are you going to watch Moon Knight as well? I hope you do! I didn't know anything about him, but I've heard of him and I didn't plan to actually watch his series, but the trailer pulled me in and wow was the series also amazing. I had it as my top 3 (Wandavision being 1 and Loki being 2 ofc). I hope you guys will watch it so I can rewatch it with you guys again

Hawkeye was never an interesting superhero to me but when they revealed he has a family, he definitely got more interesting. He went from just being a normal human who's amazing with a bow surrounded by people with superpowers, to someone who has the most to lose. I enjoyed watching these episodes with you guys!

Yep, I remember reading that she had never really acted before but her friends saw a casting call from Marvel for an Indigenous woman in her 20s with a martial arts/athletics background and they convinced her to go for it.

Oh for sure; I had forgotten about that but you just jogged my memory. I figured they went with Nathaniel over Nathan as a nod to the LotM character, though. And if not... well, that's still a cool little coincidence!

I think the name is also for Nat, in Avengers when Clint takes them to with his family to hide, Clint's wife is pregnant and Nat asked 'how was little Natasha' 'Actually is Nathaniel' 'Traitor'

I love the car chase scene, the bit of 'one shot' they did was awesome. and yeah I believe she does indeed have MMA training, and she did all her own stunts/action sequences herself. And this is her first acting job as well!

"I think Jack should get his own origin story." Not going to say who he is because, y'know, possible spoilers (and honestly, he's probably a character you've never heard of), but Jack actually IS a character from the comics so it's not outside the realm of possibility. By the way guys, Alaqua Cox - the woman who plays Echo - actually IS deaf, and does obviously have some training in martial arts. And you know where she's from? Wisconsin. She grew up on the Menominee Reservation. (And Renner and Steinfeld learned some ASL so that they could communicate her on set, by the way, which is pretty cool.) EDIT: And now I just got to the end of the episode and you guys looked her up... haha. Well, either way! Also, I just realized: Hawkeye's little boy is named Nathaniel... which is the real name of the main character in Last of the Mohicans, who is better known in that novel as... Hawkeye.
