What a blast from the past to 2006! "She's the Man" certainly has its share of intriguing moments, but overall, it's still a riotous movie. The storyline revolves around Viola Hastings, portrayed by Amanda Bynes, who assumes the identity of her twin brother, Sebastian (Diamond Dave and Oak were a bit slow to catch on) to join the boys' soccer team at their prestigious boarding school.
Opposite Amanda Bynes is Channing Tatum as Duke Orsino, the dashing yet oblivious soccer captain who captures Viola's attention. Tatum and Bynes display excellent chemistry on screen, adding to the film's charm. The supporting cast includes Laura Ramsey, Julie Hagerty, Alexandra Breckenridge, Amanda Crew, David Cross, and Vinnie Jones as the stern soccer coach. Feels like Vinnie had quite a few roles like this back then.
While She's the Man may not offer groundbreaking plot or character development, it remains an enjoyable watch. It's fascinating to see how young everyone looked back then, adding to the nostalgia factor. Just a heads up, no Mason Quinn on this folks.

Shes the man and Bend it like Beckham are movies I can watch a thousand times. Like some already said, they're comfort movies. Great rection guys!! Keep 'em coming

Silly, sweet, a few good life lessons thrown in, and Colin Firth engaged to Aunt Petunia makes for a fun time. 😁

(The animated movie, though!) Eddie Murphy killed it not only as Donkey in Shrek but also as Mushu in Mulan. The animation is one of Disney’s best to this day imo.

I also would love them to react to The House Bunny, I always think of that movie when I watch this since the lead singer of All-American Rejects is in it. You can't go wrong with Emma Stone, she's great in both movies. And Anna Faris is always hilarious!

The penalty kick must have been close to the end of the match since the ball is still in play after a penalty! (unless the goalie catches it or it goes out of bounds.) It's just a single shot if it's a shoot-out (for tie-breakers)

I am also a fan of Shakespear's Twelfth Night and I think this is a fun modern adaption. They even kept the names (Duke Orsino is really a duke in the play xD). Another great teenage comedy is Easy A. Recommended!

I was introduced when my 8th grade class read twelfth night and our teacher made our parents sign a permission form to watch this movie after we were done with the play 😂 watching it always puts me in such a good mood
