Actually, the show is a direct sequel to all of the games. The showrunners chose specific canon endings of FO 1-4.

2024-04-17 12:06:26 +0000 UTCHey guys! If you're going to play one of the games, I believe Fallout 4 would be the most palatable. The games are not directly connected to each other, much like how the TV show is disconnected. Fallout 4 is the most recent (except for the multiplayer Fallout 76 which is not as protagonist/story heavy) and ties the most into what you'd recognize from the show, except it's in Boston... not California. Fallout games are truly open-world, by the way, in the way that every single thing goes at your pace. You can do most quests in any order, and you could spend a hundred hours not even following the main plot. It has a heavy emphasis on inventory management at times. That's all! You guys would enjoy it. But it might be hard to find the right times to swap the controller around.

2024-04-17 01:23:08 +0000 UTCCertain plotpoints didnt feel earned, the Ghouls lines were cringe and unfunny in his first appearance and in the 2nd episode as well as the awful middleastern singing whenever he appears on screen. The first 2 episodes just felt rushed to kick all 3 characters to the outside world. First 2 episodes just lacked in some areas, but thankfully ep3 onward the show got better and better each episode and the comedy got better as well
