2024-04-18 05:59:20 +0000 UTCHunter X hunter is okay, I personally didn’t care for it at all and I loved avatar. But I wouldn’t be mad if they did Hunter X Hunter either, it’s interesting for sure. I just felt like the end was so anticlimactic it was absolutely unnecessary and disappointing to me lol. But I did enjoy FMA: Brotherhood! I wouldn’t be upset about that being watched at all.

2024-04-17 19:00:08 +0000 UTCIf we're writing down our hopes, then mine are Fullmetal Alechemist Brotherhood and Hunter x Hunter. The first is really good, especially for Avatar fans. The second one is better to watch after a few shonen anime because it spins genres really well, creating a world that at first seemed lighthearted but is really dark in fact.

Full Metal is a great one too, though personally mha has way better story telling and character arcs. I couldn’t get into mob psycho after seeing the first season personally but I’m fairly picky with anime 😆. I forced myself thru the first few seasons on Naruto cause I couldn’t handle the childishness of the kids but reminded myself I was a kid when it came out lol. Anyways it’s just my recommendation they said they’ll do a poll later for which to do next ☺️

So plenty of time to start it and binge it in its entirety. The story arc is absolutely amazing! It’s as amazing as AOT in its own complete way. Plus there isn’t hundreds of episodes like Naruto, one piece, fairytale etc. ITS WORTH IT. Oak would absolutely love the life lessons in it too 😆

I was thinking about some films and a couple of tv series you might like: Rio Horton hears a who Bee movie Monsters vs aliens Happy feet Tale of desperaux Hoodwinked Chicken little Hotel transylvania Croods The last mimzy Lemony snickets Arthur and the invisibles Penelope Marley & me Nims island 5 Children & It Wreck it ralph Possibly: Remember me Buddies films e.g air buddies, snow buddies, space buddies etc Spiderwick Tinkerbell Finding dory Meet the robinsons Izombie Flushed away Brother bear Monsters inc/monsters university Ice age film series Journey to the centre of the earth Jungle cruise Vampire diaries (though i know you’re not overly keen with certain vampire types and vampire diaries has a few series, there is a lot more action and fighting than there was in twilight and other aspects you might find enjoyable).

And when the alternative is watching it after a specific episode during S2, its just too much hassle and a distraction from the season’s story. So imo watching it after S2 is the best option.

Part of the reason I’m annoyed is 2 of the only parts of the show they’ve complained about is the plot being hard to follow and forgetting side characters, both of which are heavily helped by watching the OVA’s. I genuinely think most people arguing against them probably have just never seen them. It’s impossible for me to imagine an AoT fan seeing all 8 OVA’s and thinking, “hmm, I should convince others to skip these”. Feels like they wouldn’t even be interested in AoT at all if that’s the case

I agree its to their benefit to have watched it, but also a good number of people have watched S2 without it (which might be where the pushback is coming from. For quite some time the OG viewing experience for many in NA was not to have seen it, since CR didnt have the OVAs until 2021. Folks want to see reactions similar to their own).
