The moment between zuko and katara in the cave (the catacombs under ba-sing-se) happens in season 2 right before the big fight between aang/katara vs. zuko/azula where azula kills aang as he’s going into the avatar state temporarily severing aang’s connection to the avatar state. Zuko was in the cave with aang in the season finale for season 1 while aang was in the avatar state and katara & sokka had to find and save them both. The only moment I missed from the animated series was master paku’s connection with katara’s necklace and gran gran during their fight.

So I think they switched that moment with the speech at the end in the live action. Which I think was smart! Kinda seems like it opens that future romantic interest with those 2
