This is set in a gritty criminal underworld, the story follows a SWAT team's daring mission to penetrate a high-rise tenement under the control of a powerful drug lord. It's everything you could want from an action film, and then some!
In addition to the fantastic action, the film also dedicates time to character development. Exploring themes of loyalty, betrayal, and survival, it weaves a narrative that draws you deeper into the story with its unexpected twists and turns. If you haven't already watched it, we highly recommend giving it a go.

The premise if this movie always reminds me of the Karl Urban Judge Dredd. I can't remember which came first, but I just remember seeing this after I had seen the other and kept thinking to myself that something was familiar. 😅

2024-04-11 02:15:10 +0000 UTCLove this movie! Glad you guys enjoyed the amazing action sequences. Definitely a major departure from what Hollywood puts out with the over done shaky cam takes. If you notice, so many of the fight scenes are long steady takes so you can actually see what is happening...rather than a dozen cuts for a 3 second sequence lol Little trivia since you guys mentioned Kung Fu - the martial arts style in this is Pencak Silat which is an Indonesian martial arts. Very dynamic.

The writer of the series was actually trying to make the 2nd movie, but nobody thought it would do well. So this movie was sort of a trial run for the second one and it ended up being a big hit. The second movie is a bit different from this one, but they are both really good and have a very unique take on action scenes. Especially love how they incorporated the camera angles with the choreography in this movie. Its brutally mind blowing.
