She just looks so similar, especially with her hair down. And have you noticed how her fighting moves are exactly the same? It's like she's not even trying to hide it!

2024-04-02 20:14:57 +0000 UTCAnnie was a very quiet, cold, private individual, she didnt talk to many people- her bond with Eren and Armin is an anomoly bc of this and why they felt so stricken about her being a traitor. She didn't want people to see her so they usually didn't (even the instructor said she's flawless as a soldier but isolates herself from other people- so Its funny that Mason was kinda so passionate about not remembering but thats Annies job as a spy, she did what she was supposed to -even tho two of you definitely remembered her lmao) but she looks exactly like her Titan so its not uncommon for people to realize since we last saw her in ep 16 and the female Titan popped up in ep 17. One of my fave fan theories is before the anime even came out and we only had the comics (manga), one fan realized it was her just using the manga panels and also realized several other secrets of the story to the point I wonder if they were an insider giving us clues, this was YEARS ago and they realized it was Annie before the show, still amazed by it.

2024-04-02 19:21:03 +0000 UTCIts so crazy because now rewatching it, it felt like annie was present quite a lot, and when the female titan appears it seems so obvious its Annie. From the nose profile, but also the way she fights is a callback to her teaching martial arts to Eren and Reiner in one of the first episodes. But I didnt catch it on my first watch either, because I didnt know to look for it and thats just a lesson in amazingly subtle story telling and makes a rewatch very interesting, catching all those hidden details. In fact I am blown away by all the details, its so well planned out its crazy. Chekhov's gun done right.

Somehow it's still the weakest because the heights AOT reaches really *are* that astronomical. I'm also glad you guys are noticing the other going on in the background. The Military Police corruption, selling stuff on a black market which is now confirmed to exist, new guys such as Marlo wanting to change the system from within and the pressures that the system puts on them, the underlying politics and stuff with Eren and who he'll be under, etc. AOT fleshes out its world so well.

I was surprised they didn't suspect Krista when she appeared right after Armin, Reiner and Jean confrotned the Female Titan. At this point in the show I remember my theory was anchored on Annie's unmistakable Pakunoda nose.

Believe me when the manga was still ongoing, people were begging Isayama for more of her every month or speculating about her and he was answering questions about her in interviews lmao, she's very controversial but I love it.

I totally didn't realize Annie was inside the Female Titan, and looking back it makes perfect sense but that's hindsight.

She was also in episodes 6 and 7 during the time Eren was a Titan, she had a few lines. And the last time we saw her I believe was after the scouts closed a wall up with Eren and the giant boulder.

There really are so many characters & names thrown at you, it's hard to remember everyone right from the start. But you guys are probably the first reactors that I've seen that didn't immediately know who the female titan was, considering how similar she looks to her human form :D

I will say watching it in Dub DOES help so you don't have to read everything and also doing 3 to 4 episodes at a time helped me too because the storylines go on a long time in this show. But great stuff guys :)

2024-04-01 17:33:39 +0000 UTClol that is why people said to paid attention to everything but to me it was enjoyable to see you discover who the Titan was in this moment. Remember that originally this is a comic (manga) and after each chapter people waited for a new one and could reread/rewatch, so for manga readers it was definitely easier to look closer for the clues. You can look for them in the anime too, but the pace is different here. Enjoy it anyway you like.

Like books, comics, live action, plays, etc. If you continue to watch anime you'll discover there's tons of different genres, like action fantasy romance etc. There's so many different types of shows to watch and lots that I'm sure y'all will love. Can't wait for more attack on titan lol it's definitely one of my favorites
