EARLY ACCESS: TWD The Ones Who Live 1x6 FINALE full reaction
Added 2024-03-31 15:24:28 +0000 UTCAs we reach the season finale (possibly even the series finale), reflecting on the journey of this season feels significant. Welcoming back Rick and Michonne feels like a reunion with old friends. Kudos to the cast and crew for weaving such an engaging story.
In this finale, our emotions are a mix. While there were some critiques about certain moments in the episode, overall, it delivered both intense action and heartfelt emotion. Looking ahead, the unfolding developments will undoubtedly pique our interest. Yet, in this moment, we will simply express gratitude to Andy and Danai for reprising their roles and bringing back these beloved characters for the fans.

Oak going off on the hand literally made my day. I was laughing so much and the symbolism bs felt straight from Fear. But I agree great episode, but this better not be the END for these two plz. Great stuff guys

2024-04-01 01:01:11 +0000 UTCOverall, I love the series and I'm very satisfied. The finale wasn't without its flaws. I absolutely agree him leaving the hand behind as a symbol was dumb and i can't see Rick doing that when it was a useful weapon to help him get out alive. It did all feel a bit easy, but then that base only had the concentrated number of the top force who all would never think any of them were against them. Carelessness through arrogance maybe. I'd have liked a bit more dialogue for Thorn's final realisation that maybe she was wrong, fuelled by her realising love could still exist. Her last turn felt a bit hollow. Personally, I also thought some of the flashback montages were unnecessary, like just before Rick had to swear on the sword, we didn't need a montage of all the deaths with swords etc. That all being said, I loved Rick and Beale, loved Rick and Michonne in this one, both apart and together and that ending is probably my favourite ending to any show I've watched. I think that scene will make me cry every time. It has been so earned by fans. As for more, although this is clearly the end for this show, I could definitely see at least Andy popping up for a cameo in Daryl Dixon one day. I think Andy loves honouring the fans and he loves Norman so I think we'll get that moment one day.

2024-04-01 00:02:30 +0000 UTCtbh I was more excited to see Rick reunite with the OG group more than anything, and to not get that and just get them dropped in a random field it felt forced and awkward. SO FRUSTRATED ABOUT THE HAND TOO! But over all I loved watching this season, the beginning was much stronger than the last couple episodes. 6 episodes just wasn't enough for all of the material and story they had to work with, and it was rushed, Thank you guys for putting out the reactions to this so early! I can only imagine how hard your job is to speed reactions out like that, and it's much appreciated!

2024-03-31 23:53:46 +0000 UTCWell, then they were going to march across the country and kill everyone they came across.

2024-03-31 23:51:01 +0000 UTCYeah… this was rushed. The echelon briefing was a letdown and a nothingburger. Nobody is guarding the bombs??? RJ actor cannot act. Reunion was good tho. Thanks for the reaction boys

2024-03-31 23:11:41 +0000 UTCDon't get me wrong im happy that this show exists but it could be so much better. An episode full of quite big logical glitches, not even glitches but literal bullshit, then the script - it was painful listening and watching. The best pearls were beal's message with the sword (which doesn't make sense, "a sword that kills, is a sword that gives life" or something) and then michon's "love ... doesn't ... die!" = sorry but this is really a level Turkish soap opera, and even that is perhaps at a slightly higher level. The flashbacks during the episode were pretty over the top and artificially trying to set some emotional tone of how incredibly fateful and serious it is. I also found it funny how all the CRM soldiers wear their special helmets, even in the dark meeting room, it was quite "cartoonish". Beale started to be a really interesting character but, as TWD has a habit = they get rid of him just when the viewer learns something about him. A shame of the untapped potential and character of Beal, CRM could have had a longer and more mysterious story. If he ever came back, it still wouldn't be the same. At least the production value was at a good level. The first 5 episodes seem like something is building a little more into the future, for a potential S2 to get to know Beal and Rick's friend in armor a bit more, but apparently after episode 5 they said it had to end and we barely get that A 45-minute episode that in some strange way tries to end everything with the snap of a finger. It was guaranteed to be poorly executed, rushed, ill-conceived. I'm a bit emotional because I've been watching twd for a long time and I had hopes that this series would be equal to the first series of TWD. Unfortunately it didn't work. I had to get it out of me. 😄

2024-03-31 22:04:14 +0000 UTCI agree with Dave. The CRM is supposed to be a big bad, but Michonne walked out of that briefing with nobody stopping her... It was all too easy. They should've had one or two more episodes for the ending they came up with.

2024-03-31 17:45:07 +0000 UTCSo the secret briefing they have been hyping up all season was just that they were going to murder everyone in Portland? Who didn’t anticipate that with what they did to Omaha. A bit anticlimactic.

2024-03-31 16:26:33 +0000 UTCIt was probably the weakest episode of the season however I was glad there was a happy ending. I think it should been 8 episodes tbh

2024-03-31 16:04:00 +0000 UTCSo Rick is in charge of the CRM now?

2024-03-31 15:31:37 +0000 UTCfor me this ended perfectly. i got everything i wanted esp at the final scene. i wish to see more of Rick and Michonne but if this was their ending, im happy with it. to me, it was never about the CRM. It was always about the epic love story between my two favourite characters! Edit ** of course I want to see Daryl and Rick reunite. But I’m very happy with this ending.
