He is stronger than regular/other demigods since the books describe him being able to knockout demigods, who are known to withstand hits from giants without being unconsious, and also swing his sword through steel, break things (that are very tough to break) with his own hands, so yes, he is strong but like you said, he is not aware of that just yet.
