And to the Oaks point at the end, I cant recall what was the first few videos I watched with you guys, but immedietaly it was obvious that you enjoy it, you live through the movies and each of you has a specific angle of view with the recap at the end and you compliment each other. Which really fits the sentence "dont judge the book by its cover". Love what you are doing and Im looking forward to the next ones :)

As for animation movies, I really recommend to check out the Disney Hercules (1997) and Mulan (1998), they give me the same vibes as Tangled, has great songs and really fun.

There are so really dark jokes too, like her eating the bird's eggs but the darkest is the 3 bears. You see the the Papa bear being seperated from Mama and baby bear and then later when all the fairy tale creatures are at Shrek's you just see Mama and baby bear and finally you see Papa bear as rug in Farquaad's. It's joke that I didn't even notice until I was much older. I really do love how they take a spin on the true love's first kiss troupe and honestly the music when she's "transforming" is beautiful, there are some really nice music in this. I don't think this film would have worked as well if Fiona hadn't stayed an Ogre, I wasn't feeling their chemistry until then. And I love Oak singing and gushing about Hallelujah, this was my introduction to that song and I've loved it ever since. There are some really great covers but this is one of my favorites. I am so excited for 2! It's the best in the entire series and top 3 of my favorite Dreamworks films and I know you'll love it!

Like Terminator 2, it simply does everything right that the original did, and then miraculously gives you EVEN MORE that you didn't know you wanted, but now you can't live without. I cannot wait for you guys to watch it.

They referred to it as being sent to the gulag or getting shreked. 2) This movie saved Dreamworks. They were on the brink of financial ruin and close to shuttering. 3) Chris Farley was the og voice but passed away before completion. When Mike took over, he didn't want to just replace Chris, so he made them completely rewrite the story.

Chris Farley was supposed to be Shrek, but he passed when it was in development so they got Myers, That aside, have you all seen the original Petes Dragon. I saw it in the theater as a kid, I loved it cause everything and everyone is "live action" except the dragon. As a kid in 1977 it blew my mind.

My personal favorite version is by Rufus Wainwright. But it's hard to go wrong with any version... Great reaction! Can't wait for Shrek 2

The team who made it were from different animated movies in the studios, the movies before this apparently failed so bad and either never got released or did get released but got low views and ratings, so due to the lack of success the studio would send people to make this movie as a punishment. Not sure if im missing anything else, but a small paraphrase of this movies history.. also the original design of Shrek is stuff made of actual nightmares 😅

I’ve seen some reactions to the shrek series by people in their early 20s and they don’t get the parodies and it’s so sad! I’m so excited to watch this one and the sequel!
