EARLY ACCESS: Chernobyl episode 3 FULL REACTION

Once again Chernobyl delivers a beautifully written and haunting hour of television. The gritty  situation mixed with the attention to detail make Chernobyl a realistic depiction of what happened in this disaster. The cinematography is beautifully orchestrated too, with plenty of long shots lingering uncomfortably on certain scenes, especially those including the firemen in hospital. What an episode this was!

EARLY ACCESS: Chernobyl episode 3 FULL REACTION

Comments

You guys never disappoint with your reactions. As I've said in other comments, this series hits home with me in a way few do because of my family's connections to Pripyat, however, one thing this series does very, very well is the simple fact that there are so many little details that you would never think of in the wake of a disaster like this. So many moving parts and this show has been amazing highlighting the details AND the main events - - I can't await to see your guys' reaction to the next episode, Sunday's too far away! lol. So glad you guys are intrigued by this series and can't wait to continue the journey with ya'll. Thanks so much!

If you guys are looking for something that can provide a personal outlook on the things that happened there while still being put in a slightly informal format, watch Sam and Colby's mini documtary on visiting Chernobyl. It's incredibly enlightening into the actions people took and how some people are living after the fact. While still having some humour at times and being an enjoyable watch.

Yeah the old confinement building was falling apart so they just recently finished building a new one that was mechanically moved over the whole structure. Its now meant to last 100 years and will help safely dismantle the reactor itself. During the early weeks of the Ukraine war some Russian troops occupied and built trenches around Chernobyl, some even got radiation sickness...

Lukasgate

So Mason mentioned about a dome recently completed over the reactor...to clarify, that is the second one, finished in 2016, called the New Safe Confinement. The original concrete structure dubbed The Sarcophagus, was started 2 months after the explosion and finished within 7 months, but was never for long term protection, just to basically entomb the remains of the reactor. The NSC is technologically advanced and designed to last for 100 years while they deconstruct the Sarcophagus inside and properly "clean up" what remains of the disaster.

I remember my ex telling me about her dad who was a truck driver in Ukraine at the time refusing to drive to Chernobyl. I never knew what it ment till I saw this show.

Full orchestra man! It was amazing There was an intermission half way through for top ups on brews and a quick puff. Choir, drums, horns, etc. It was such an experience I couldn't believe sometimes the music was being done live, I had to take second looks when I got soaked into the movie above.

Ryan Bellefleur

Oh nice they did a concert?
