2024-02-12 14:32:09 +0000 UTCWhile there are a couple moments that warrant a "Wtf is going on here?!" Or an "Ewwwww wtf?!" There's at least 3 movies I can think of off the top of my head that we've watched with the guys that are FAR more disturbing than Saltburn imo. The movie is beautifully shot, very well acted, and has a very interesting plot imo. "Oak is gonna hate this.... Oak is gonna be disgusted" That may or may not be true but there are FOUR guys at the table. Sometimes, they all love a movie. A lot of times they have different opinions. They put it on the poll, it was voted on, and it won...... end of story. You CLEARLY didn't enjoy it, which is completely fine. I've skipped most movies voted on in the last few months here because I wasn't a fan, but I didn't try to sway the results because of it. I found Midsommar extremely disturbing and unwatchable a second time. You know what I did when it won a poll? SKIPPED IT! 💡

Unless people have been sending you private DMs, I really don't see any hateful or nasty comments, just people disagreeing with your take on this film. Saltburn isn't exactly Cannibal Holocaust haha.

I don't know anyone who watches a heavily edited reaction video as their first watch of ANY movie. 99.9% of people will likely have seen the movie already and will therefore not be confused in the slightest.

2024-01-18 00:15:39 +0000 UTCThe last thing I'm going to say is that Critics are all saying the exact same thing about Saltburn. "The film has nothing to say, it's purely for shock value. It is Depraved, distasteful and disturbing" and it actually has a pretty low audience rating. Another review said "It's an underdeveloped homage to The Talented Mr. Ripley and Brideshead Revisited luxuriates in provocative fashion WITHOUT SUBSTANCE" Someone on here said they were able to YT edit Hereditary, but this movie is 10 times obscene, and at least Hereditary got great audience and critical reviews. I know you guys are going to watch it because of the poll results, but I think you should use your discretion and pull rank to not watch it, or don't release a YT version. The amount of scenes you'll have to cut out anyone watching it through YT will be crazy confused if they haven't already seen it. And just like all of you, I'm aloud to haver my opinion, so please stop leaving hateful and nasty comments. It's just so hurtful and unnecessary.

My personal recs would be first these 2023 blockbusters: Maaveeran (superhero), Jailer (action/dark comedy), Jawan (action drama), Jigarthanda Double X (gangster epic inspired by spaghetti westerns + the 2014 gangster drama/dark comedy "Jigarthanda", the 2023 one is a prequel), and for something totally different Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani (romcom/family drama) 🙂
