Joined today just to get the full episodes, and I’m really excited to hear the discussions this show is going to bring about. Such incredible themes that this one covers throughout. Personally I prefer the English dub but I know many don’t. All I want to say about it is don’t be afraid to switch if you find you’re missing stuff due to reading haha. I watched it in sub and then rewatched in dub and noticed so much more because I wasn’t reading all the time. Whatever works for you guys! Also keep in mind that every single scene and character in this show is important. You really have to pay attention. Loved your reactions to the first episode, moving on to the next! 👏👏👏👏

It's astounding to me how weebs behave that way when even the Japanese think it's weird tow arch something in a language that isn't native to you. People can watch whatever they want, but I've personally never heard a good argument for watching subbed anime over dubbed.

Still, I'm thankful that the guys are willing to do this at all, so I'll try to power past the frustration. I know they are tired of the complaints, but I sold books online and when you accept money for a service, a certain amount of listening to customer issues and finding the right balance is just reasonable, even if you can't help that customer. These are smart guys. They have to do what's best for the channel, ultimately. But there's no harm in fine-tuning improvements, where possible. I'll respect their wishes, regardless. I love these guys (especially Oak). ❤️

If you guys are torn between watching the Subbed or Dubbed version, why not go back and rewatch the episodes you've already seen but in the Dubbed version. Then you guys can decide which version you prefer. Because truthfully watching the Dubbed or Subbed versions really just comes down to viewing preference. Both versions are amazing watches. 2024-01-16 10:04:47 +0000 UTCthe world, as we know it as of now, is supposed to be european! the architecture is german and so is the main character's last name "jaeger" :) once you hear and see the rest of the characters' names and appearances, you'll see that they're all, for the most part, white and european 🫶🏼 guys, it's so awesome that you're watching such an amazing anime and in its original japanese ahhh i'm so happy 🌟 had to reactivate my hulu for this hahaha 🥲 i usually use crunchyroll but i'm just glad that i'm watching the exact same copy so there aren't any sync issues 🫡

2024-01-16 00:58:32 +0000 UTCThis show is very lore heavy and it's complex but you guys should def keep Sub, the original voice actors did an Phenomenal job and to be honest the dub lost a lot of punch on many scenes across the seasons, there is a build up on the suspense just for the Voice actors alone and it's and experience that cant be missed on the first time watch. But i recommend to read the info on the middle episode too.

While I am admittedly biased, I also agree with the point that this show can get very lore heavy, and I worry you guys can potentially miss a lot when trying to read along. Not to mention you might not get to experience a lot of the really nice animation when you’re focused on the text. Please make a poll for Sub v Dub!

I hope you guys don’t switch because the sub is incredible and has some of the best voice acting I’ve seen in recent years :) plus, I might be biased here but since it’s the first anime you’re doing on the channel I feel like you should get as close to the original experience as possible lmao. My fav part of the episode is Hannes saying he Gon defeat the titan, looking it dead in its face and turning back around 🤣. It's definitely action packed and very much intense. So basically in anime, it has intermissions/commercial breaks that have details and fun tadbits before it gets into the second half of the episode so that's what that was 😭

I think people are overstating how hard it is to understand in sub. They've already made their choice, so there's no point in trying to convince them otherwise.

I usually watch sub for 99% of anime so I'm glad you guys went with the sub. The voice actors do an incredible job.

As a reaction channel it will be harder to not miss key info while do your thing. I would suggest maybe doing a poll on here bc people no matter what channel are always split and start arguing

Either way, I'm just so happy you're finally watching it after a year or so of begging!! 😁😄🥰😊

While the information isnt as necessary for watching the show, you learn to appreciate the small details they thought of when creating this world. I agree with Ashtail, you guys should take the time to read it during the review so we also get your reactions to that.

2024-01-15 17:24:15 +0000 UTCOkay I usually don't comment like ever. But I wanted to say thank you so much for doing this! AOT is one of my favorite animes of all time. 100% Worth watching. Also side note, when the screen switches and the text appears don't feel too obligated to pause during the little break sections which are like 2 seconds. There's a lot of information which is just about the world put on there. Like the walls formation or what the gear they're wearing is. But they explain that later on. So no need to really pause for those. Can't wait to see more! Also I think sub is a great way to start for you guys. I think some dub episodes are better than subbed ones but overall sub is the way to go! You can always rewatch an episode or two in dub if people really want you to for an episode! Anyways thank you again! Woo!

I would also recommend going back and reading those midsection commercial-break cards, they have a lot of interesting trivia - it's not NECESSARY but it is world building :) You can always do that at the end of the episode while discussing the episode. English is perfectly fine audio - Japanese is better, especially Eren's Voice Actor imo, but if you get more out of the story by watching it in English, do so <3

I’ve watched the series in both Japanese & English, & I can’t help but lean towards the Japanese voice acting. Secondly, I would avoid the openings & endings as much as possible, sometimes there’s spoilers in the visuals and sometimes the lyrics have spoilers. Thanks again for the reactions!

It's been better recently and you guys have a pretty good community, but on YouTube it's fair game for ANYBODY and you will get new viewers because of it.
