EARLY ACCESS: Now You See Me FULL REACTION

Now You See Me is a thrilling and mind-bending heist film. The plot starts with the Four Horsemen pulling off a series of elaborate magic shows, where they seemingly teleport money from a bank vault to the audience, making them modern-day Robin Hoods. As the FBI, led by Agent Dylan Rhodes (played by Mark Ruffalo), and Interpol get involved, the line between magic and reality blurs, leaving viewers questioning what's real and what's part of the illusion.

The ensemble cast delivers stellar performances, with each actor bringing a unique charm to their respective roles. Jesse Eisenberg's wit, Isla Fisher and Woody Harrelson's charisma, Fisher's daring presence, and Dave Franco's skillful sleight of hand create a dynamic team that captures the audience's attention. And of course, the greats, Micheal Cain and Morgan Freeman grace us with their presence.

Visually, Now You See Me is a feast for the eyes, with stunning magic tricks and illusions brought to life with impressive cinematography and special effects. The film's pacing is well-executed, maintaining a perfect balance between the fast-paced heist sequences and the unfolding mystery behind the Four Horsemen's motives.

One of the movie's strengths lies in its unpredictability for the most part. As the plot thickens, twists and turns keep the audience guessing until the very end. The revelation in the final act is both satisfying and unexpected, adding an extra layer of complexity to the story. Some may argue that the film sacrifices character development and logic for the sake of its intricate plot. While the Four Horsemen are intriguing, their backstories are not fully explored, leaving some viewers wanting more depth to the characters.

Overall, Now You See Me is a captivating and entertaining film that successfully blends magic, mystery, and heist elements. With its clever storytelling, charismatic cast, and visually stunning illusions. A film we would recommend to those who haven't seen it.

I feel like the second watch of this movie is like watching a whole new movie because you see Ruffalo’s character differently after knowing who he is as well as seeing the plot differently. My brother took me to this movie in the theater and I enjoyed it.

Spice Light

haven’t revisited this movie since i first saw it. this was so fun! i don’t think i ever watched the sequel. so excited!

Jenna

Yeah the scene I'm referring to, again trying to say as little as possible about it so I don't spoil it, it took them a whole week to film it for only 7 minutes of the movie. I should clarify that there a few moments where it's a bit of movie magic but the cast really did learn how to do all the card tricks.

Megan Moore

So, the monument that people were told to stop putting locks on is indeed the Pont des Arts shown in the movie. The weight of all the locks puts a great strain on the bridge, so much that people have been told to stop putting them, and a number of locks have been removed. On a side note, I had only seen this movie in French before and wasn't aware that we were bashed so much in this movie. Still find it funny though.

KeterLordFR

I haven't seen 2 but I saw one card scene and my mind is blown to know that it was real. I'm going to have to see if there are any bts or making of videos...after the movie. I don't want spoilers haha.

Megan

nerve is pretty great, and the lessons are also cool

Milly

So Oak, I know you were talking about suspending your reality, this is not a spoiler you could never begin to guess what I'm referring to. There are a lot of Card Tricks in the Sequel and all, I mean ALL of them are done for real, I think you'll realize why I'm telling you this when a particular scene plays out. The cast really did perform them with zero movie magic, so there is no need to suspend your belief 😁. Can't wait till you guys watch it!

Megan Moore

enjoyed you guys' reaction to this! so glad I used Netflix to sync up, because, had I put on my blu-ray copy, I'd have to keep syncing up, because there's jokes and scenes that I missed. not knowing that my blu-ray copy's an extended version.

Mister Lou

Someone can tell me, there's an extended cut of this movie right? I've think I've never seen it

Magda Ch

I enjoy these movies a lot... While I like the first one better, I appreciate the second has a darker tone and more character development. I've heard that the franchise is renewed for a third one as well!

merve

I love this movie and have watched it several times. 2 will be a first watch for me as well! I think this was planned to be a trilogy though I could be remembering wrong. They did have an end credit (at least in the theatres) that showed another movie was on the way. It just took a while for it to come out. I believe I was caught off guard too the first go round. It's been so long that I think I suspected the French agent as the 5th horseman. They did a good job not revealing their hand. Again, maybe I am remembering wrong, but I swear the 4 horseman find out it is Mark before the ending. I swear I remember they enter a room where he reveals himself towards the end and then they meet up.

Megan

Yess I love this movie! such a fun watch. If you want to see more of dave franco I'd recommend the movie nerve about a real life game of truth or dare (minus the truth lol). He plays the main lead with emma roberts in that movie and it's such a guilty pleasure of mine haha.

Fleur

This movie is an underrated gem. Nothing too serious but still a good time 💜

Alyssa Dyson

I'm glad that Oak paid attention to the lock bridge issues lol. In point of fact the bridge that was shown in the movie, the Pont des Arts, had a portion of it collapse in 2014 due to the weight of the locks on that section of fencing. Since then, the city officials have been working on various solutions to try to remedy the situation while keeping it as a tourist attraction. They've also had to resort to just straight up cutting locks off of the fences in order to reduce the weight.

Marco Gutierrez

Maybe I've always seen the edited versions. All of those scenes looked normal to me, although there *is* supposed to be a credits scene teasing a sequel and it was removed. That was the only edit I noticed.

Marco Gutierrez

This one surprised me and my dad when we saw it, feels like it doesn't get talked about but it's just a fun movie!

Shane Kolaga

Those are up on YouTube. We don't have the full length as it was prior to Patreon.

If you love Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson together, you need to watch Zombieland 1 and 2. Those films are amazing.

John F.

It might be a deleted scene edit, I know some streaming services have rights to only certain versions of movies. Like HBO has the normal Harry Potter movies but Peacock has the deleted scene edit of the Harry Potter movies.

Brady Renfro

Thought I was losing my damn mind

Gunnar Rea

Wow. I'm surprised they did that.

I'm watching on Hulu and the runtime is 2 hours and 4 minutes. In the beginning where they introduce our characters, the Vegas show, interrogation scenes, and the interview with morgan freemon's character the scene is different and shortened, and so on.

Arudorin

Oh... That's interesting. What parts?

Badd Medicine

It's strange that the version on hbo max is edited.

Arudorin

So excited to watch your reaction when i get home! Something to look forward to now 😁

Katie

🤘😁
