This episode introduces a compelling new character, Tek from Vought. Tek operates with motives that starkly oppose the established order, creating a fresh dynamic in the interpersonal relationships of the characters. This, in turn, propels the storyline forward, unveiling new layers of complexity.

If you rewatch you can tell that Jordan was feeling Marie since episode one, but I didn’t notice Marie think of Jordan that way until the hallway scene after the cocksplosion. Marie’s blood bending power is crazy, Rufus had that coming. Sam and Emma fell for each very quickly, but they’re cute. I also think Sam is too unstable to root for a romance just yet though. Jordan v Sam was a great fight that I wanted more of.

There's tons of small references, like Marie being the black starlight or like how Emma looks up to Queen Maeve for empowerment if we know how Maeve truly feels about herself as a hero. Also the general story line about Vaught is pretty important in both shows.

2024-01-03 05:53:46 +0000 UTCWatching this show puts in perspective that the Boys motive, especially Butcher is fucked up because in his eyes all supes need to die even the good ones just because of what Homelander did to his wife but in reality yes some supes are assholes but as we saw with Starlight and the supes on this show none of them had a say in becoming a supe it was forced upon them by their parents just so they can become their cash pigs, which leaves so many of them with trauma and mental health issues plus added with their powers most of them are gonna hate and look down on humans because humans are the ones that made them and exploit them whether its their parents or Vought.

I think you kinda need to get to know homelander a bit...okay maybe you do need to watch them both...the more I type the more im like yeah def watch the boys first lmao 🤣💜 it will take a couple episodes but I promise you'lll become invested.
