2023-12-31 02:23:18 +0000 UTCLike you guys, I'd never seen it. To me I always felt like it was just a bit too irreverent so I never wanted to watch it. Christmas is really huge to me even though I don't get to celebrate as much as I'd like, so I'm not too into the parody or irreverent Christmas stuff. I'm fine with comedy, as long as it has plenty of heart too which I thought this one definitely did. As for the song at the end, yeah that one was in the original. It's the song that the Grinch hates because it's basically the Christmas theme song for the Whos. It plays at the beginning which is one of the things that angers him and it plays at the end and hearing it makes him realize that he was in the wrong. Having them include it in the movie was great and I think it would have felt wrong to not have it in there.

2023-12-21 19:25:51 +0000 UTCThat part where Jim Carrey (Grinch) pulled the tablecloth, but nothing came off the table was actually non-scripted just as you guys had mentioned in your reaction. Apparently all the items on the table were supposed to fly off when he pulled the tablecloth, but when he pulled and NOTHING came off, Jim simply went back to the table and hit everything off and they kept that in the film!

I remember as a punk teen I told him I was gonna report him. He said it's only illegal if you try to profit off the copies.. That makes sense.. my entire childhood I thought we were being sneaky.. Cindy Lou now the lead singer of metal band "The Pretty Reckless".

2023-12-18 22:07:10 +0000 UTCFabulous reaction guys, I'm thrilled you enjoyed it so much! If I may make a late Christmas Movie suggestion, Arthur Christmas. It's on Amazon Prime right now. I think you guys would absolutely love it, especially Oak. It's super underrated sometimes, but it's root is lessons about family dynamics, stages of life, goals, aging, and being yourself even when others don't make you feel like it's enough. Don't get me wrong, it's still a goofy kids movie, but it's really adorable and subtle about how it's lessons play out. It's become not just my favorite Christmas movie, but my favorite movie period. If I'm having a bad day I'll put it on to reorient myself and lift my mood. It's crazy how they manage to capture that serene/stillness feeling that comes with Christmas e Eve late at night.

Jim Carrey was supposed to rip off the cloth sending everything flying and was surprised that he did it without anything falling off so he decided just to go back and knock everything off instead.
