EARLY ACCESS: Ratatouille FULL REACTION

POLL WINNER: Ratatouille is a culinary delight that serves up a heartwarming tale of ambition, friendship, and the magic of following one's passion. This animated gem transports audiences into the enchanting world of Parisian cuisine, seen through the eyes of an unlikely chef—Remy, a rat with an extraordinary palate.

Thank yogether a narrative that transcends traditional animated fare. Remy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) dreams of becoming a renowned chef, a dream that seems impossible for a rat. The animation is a feast for the eyes, capturing the bustling streets of Paris and the intricacies of the culinary world with exquisite detail.

The characters in "Ratatouille" are charming and endearing, each contributing a unique flavor to the story. Linguini (voiced by Lou Romano), the kitchen garbage boy turned chef, forms an endearing partnership with Remy. One of the film's standout qualities is its celebration of the culinary arts. The attention to detail in the food animation is nothing short of extraordinary, making the audience appreciate the artistry involved in creating a gourmet dish. The scenes featuring Remy orchestrating the kitchen from within Linguini's chef hat are particularly clever and visually captivating.

Beyond its visual prowess, Ratatouille is a story about embracing individuality and overcoming societal expectations. The film encourages everyone to follow their passions, no matter how unconventional, and to appreciate the beauty of diverse talents and perspectives. Michael Giacchino's musical score complements the film perfectly, enhancing the emotional resonance of key moments. The pacing is well-executed, keeping audiences engaged from start to finish. Well done to the cast and crew! Highly recommend it if you haven't seen it.

Ratatouille is such an enjoyable film ! I really appreciated what Oak said ( between 1:54:25 ~ 1:54:55 ) about " ... look you you don't necessarily have to um you don't have to believe that somebody's going to achieve a massive dream just to be there and support them and say hey you know what I'm proud of you for going after what your dream is even if it's not what I want or what I even think is best for you I'm here I'm here to support you I have your back and you know what if things don't turn out exactly the way that you had hoped I'm still going to be here for you ... ". That's a great sentiment from Oak !

RogueOstriches7

In addition to this movie, Brad Bird also directed Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol. He also directed the Incredibles 1 and 2, which are Pixar films too and I would highly recommend adding them to the list of animated movies to watch for the channel. Great reactions as always gentleman!

Whiskey Hotel

I so hope you can react to Encanto next such a great movie. I’d love for you to see lilo and stitch as well . Loved your reaction as always!

Raquel Perodin

It really is a beautiful movie, maybe it doesn't make me cry as much as Coco did, but it definitely touches my heart, and the soundtrack is just fantastic, very elegant. But I wanted to comment, didn't you realize the parody they did in Everything Everywhere All At Once with Raccacoonie?? I thought it was going to be the first thing you mentioned when you saw it hahaha

Magda Ch

For more chef related content that is just as good but the opposite of wholesome check out The Bear on Hulu.

Surya

Thank you so much, guys! This movie is my childhood. I watched it with my parents at least once a year. ❤️ Yes, this movie is not Coco (honestly, no other film can beat that at the moment), but it's made with so much love and attention to detail that it's easy to go back to it again and again. It's definitely a feel-good movie but with a lot of heart and depth. I love the animation, the portrayal of the chef's profession, and the magical atmosphere of Paris. In fact, until a few years ago, it was always considered one of the best Pixar movies (alongside Up and Nemo). It is also one of the first animated films to reach this high level of animation. All the reviews back then talked about the rats' hair and the texture of the food. Nothing special today, of course, but back then, it was fascinating. Oh, and you should add "Frozen" to the list (one and two! The second one can easily keep up with the first. In my opinion, the music is even a bit better) and also "Soul" and "Moana" :)

Caroline

Well that was a really fun watch along, thanks guys keep the animation ones coming i love them
