EARLY ACCESS: Legend of Korra 3x9 FULL REACTION

This is an older post but one of my favorite things about this episode is the use of pai sho as an analogy for the diff between the White and Red Lotus. "both skill and chance" "different cultures have different variations of the game" Dichotomies, opposites, two parts of a whole. It's a story of balance, and for someone trying to restore balance, removing the other half (in the same way removing either Ravaa and Vaatu from the other disrupts balance), seems like a good inclination of how unscaled Zaheer's ideals are. Oppressive governments should be torn down, but the removal of all forms of government wouldn't bring balance because there would be nothing else weighing the scale on the other end.

I was wondering if that was the misty palms oasis! That’s so cool.

Raquel Perodin

Just in case you guys didn’t know, that’s the same oasis aang and team avatar visited before they went to the library with the Owl Spirit! Cool detail that shows how thriving the place is now in comparison to back then!

The lava guy didn’t make the pyramid around korra and asami. The earth queen’s forces did. But you’re right about the bending break down

In answer to Oak’s question about where the earth bender came from(referring to the lava guy making the slab pyramid around Korea)? The lava guy is an earth bender The combustion eye woman is the firebender, the chief villain is air and the lady with no arms is water. Earthbenders can bend metal because it’s earth and lava is earth, molten rock too. It’s like the water bender s bending blood.

I always loved seeing Mako and Bolin fight together. They really can hold their own. The fights are so cool. Like the other comment said, Zaheer was kinda spittin in his conversation with Korra. The whole time he had me, and then he lost me, he had me, and then he lost me. ugh zaheer is such a good villian.

The episode also continues the streak of having villains that, though they're bad, have a point deep down in there somewhere. "True freedom can only be achieved when oppressive governments are torn down."

Geoffrey of Monmouth

I feel like this is the episode when the plot really goes full force. I love 9-13. Such a good last few ending episodes coming.
