Remakes are fought with a crew that has no actual original ideas or creative vision, which is why they work on remakes in the first place. They love taking what better people have done and then changing it up to match their vision as if they've ever done anything successful in their life. The same thing also goes with Netflix at large. Almost everything they do is fraught with talentless hacks that got hired because of their political ideas and not their skill. This is literally still the same company that ruined The Witcher, Shadow and Bone, 13 Reasons Why, and so on.

Yes, overall waterbending will be more difficult than firebending- this is because you have to run a water physics simulation for every waterbending shot, as with fire is a bit easier to do because fire simulations are a bit more random and don’t rely heavily on physics. Also, bending light through water to create caustics is very resource intensive. Fire creates its own light, and doesn’t have to bend or refract any from another source. Plasma in VFX is always some of the easier things to do.

But this already looks WAY better. The casting looks great (love that they took their ages into account), the visuals are STUNNING, and I literally got chills when the theme song played. All I'd have to see now is their acting in terms of dialogue, but something tells me that they will nail it.
