Mason, you mentioned this is where M:I becomes what it became and I completely agree with you. To me this is where the M:I was really born, the first two movies were good but felt like standalone films, here is where they have a sense of continuity and you don't just see Ethan as the action hero but as a person and the emphasis on his IMF team becomes more focused on the bond they have. I'll be watching Ghost Protocol with you guys later.

2023-11-09 06:14:19 +0000 UTCThe reason that Tom Cruise, and the Mission Impossible movies, are so great for action movies is the willingness to have his characters truly get their ass kicked, actually fail, and make small mistakes. As much as I love Vin, Stathom, the rock, stallone(now a days), and the rest of the modern action stars, they are not willing to have their characters be that flawed. Ethan Hunt getting smashed into an office building, getting bruised and cut up from jt and then ragdolled until he slams into phone poll is just something that only tom cruise would allow his character to be embarrassed and beat up that way.

Enjoying the ride watching your reactions with these. This is probably the most consistent franchise when it comes to quality action and stunts and producing an actually good movie.
