Leo, who's been on the lookout for a new feline companion to replace the one he tragically lost during a drug-induced episode in the previous installment, finds himself in a pet shop. Interestingly, the owner of this shop is none other than Verna. Leo's attention is immediately drawn to a cat that bears a striking resemblance to Julius' late pet. He's willing to offer a substantial sum of money to make the cat his own, even against Verna's advice.
Bringing the new cat home, Leo's hopes for a fresh start quickly sour as the cat scratches his wrist. To compound this misfortune, he receives the distressing news of Camille's passing. This loss hits Leo hard, leaving him bewildered by the recurring tragedies befalling his family. In a subsequent family meeting, he vehemently expresses his discontent.
The burden on the family intensifies as Madeline seeks Leo's assistance in reading a statement to the press, but he adamantly refuses. With Camille's absence, the family appears somewhat adrift, but Roderick, ever the enigmatic figure, takes charge and issues his stern directives, demanding strict compliance with Madeline's instructions.

2023-11-03 16:04:45 +0000 UTCY'all asked about where the actor playing young Dupin, Malcolm Goodwin, came from. He likely was found in the show Leo, Rahul Kohli, was found in called iZombie. This 5 season 71 episode show is amazing and they were phenomenal in that show. Would make a great show to react to as I haven't seen any others do it but it was a cult hit.

2023-11-02 19:41:33 +0000 UTCOh yeah Verna definitely gave him outs, she offered every other cat but Leo didn't even really listen. Sure, it was less on the nose as the others. Rewatching it was kinda interesting because while Leo definitely was the most sympathetic, I now saw a LOT of Roderick in him too. The person that truly didn't deserve any of this was poor Julius :( Can't wait for next week, another Flanagan 5!
