EARLY ACCESS: Coco FULL REACTION

Emotional is an understatement! The story follows Miguel, a young boy with a passion for music, as he embarks on a colorful adventure in the Land of the Dead during the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration.

Coco is a heartwarming and visually stunning animated film from Disney-Pixar. This movie takes you on a magical journey into the vibrant world of Mexican tradition, family, and music. Coco beautifully captures the essence of this important holiday and the values of family and remembrance.

The film is a delightful blend of emotion, humor, and music, featuring a heartfelt exploration of the bonds that tie generations together. The characters are endearing, and the voice acting, particularly by Anthony Gonzalez (Miguel) and Gael García Bernal (Héctor), is exceptional.

Coco is not just a visual feast but also a touching tale that resonates with themes of identity, dreams, and the importance of remembering our ancestors. It did strike a chord with us and we imagine it did with audiences of all ages, making it a must-see for anyone who enjoys a good dose of magic, culture, and heartwarming storytelling. We would definitely, recommend this to anyone and everyone!!!

EARLY ACCESS: Coco FULL REACTION

Comments

Your dear team, I just subscribed to patreon for the first time in my life just to watch Coco with you guys. When in the end one of you talked about your Dad passing, I just wanted to say that I found incredible comfort and peace in listening to Near Death Experience survivors. They all tell the same story, about how peaceful and full of gratefulness people leave - and that they all believe that we go on, they all experience a continuation even beyond heartbeat and brain function. Maybe this could comfort you as well. Maybe please have a look. And in any case all my best wishes and thanks for your wonderful emotion, Vera

Vera Spillner

Rewatching this reaction for Dia de los Muertos and something Oak said at the end made me blink. My family celebrates Memorial Day for every lost family member, not just the military. It never occurred to me that other families didn't do the same.

LaLa

Okay, getting ready to watch this one, and I just thought that before I settled in, I would drop y'all a comment to say that the main reason I am is because of various comments other threads about how much this movie affected Oak.

Amy Petty

Amazing

Insannne Surpassing

Hello! I have recently found your reactions and fell in love with them. They are a pleasure each time you release and I knew I had to support you. I have just joined your Patreon and I have a request. I humbly ask you to watch “Rise of the Guardians” by Dreamworks. It is one of the most underrated films but it easily one of my favorite movies of all time (live action included). The lessons, the animation, the storytelling…I promise you won’t be disappointed if you give it a try. Everyone I have shown it to agrees with me, including my students every year. Whether you choose to review or not, I am a huge supporter of work! Stay kind, stay honest, stay real. A new fan, Kat💝

Kat Weber

Omg yes Spirit and Rise of the Guardians. Love both.

Amanda Garten

I didn’t think I would like this movie when it came out, but gave it a try awhile back and wow was I wrong. Such a beautiful, emotional, and touching story. I’m not sure if my tears at the end were from the emotions evoked by the movie or seeing Oak crying. Such a good movie.

Spice Light

I love this movie. I cry every time I watch it. I recommend you guys watch Encanto, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Treasure Planet, and Rise of the Guardians.

Emilysr97

This was amazing. Such an emotional journey they take you on.

Badd Medicine

I haven't cried whilst watching a film in a while. I don't why I put off watching this film it was absolutely amazing! and I twas great watching with you guys.

Liona N

You guys totally gotta watch Encanto next. Such a touching, well-made movie. It covers a lot of deep topics like neglect, generational trauma, etc. I'm a grown woman and I still cry (or at least tear up!) every time I watch it, lol.

ghostfaeries

you guys have to watch the Pixar movie “Soul” !!!

keara king

Oh man I sobbed the whole way through, right with y’all! I absolutely LOVED this movie when it came out. As a Latina, it makes me so happy that our culture is finally getting space in the industry and told so beautifully. It’s been about 1 year since my grandparents died, and this was my first time watching since. Was a WRECK. But a good wreck. Good cry. Good tears. Good feels lol Thank y’all so much for doing this reaction & so happy y’all loved it too / appreciated the deeper meanings behind the holiday 💖

Angelina

Yes!! Chris Pine, Jude Law, Hugh Jackman, and Isla Fisher! Truly underrated!

Lena Herbert

Animation?

Badd Medicine

Haha yes Oak, I had one of those desk lamps. I STILL have one actually! It was my grandpa’s, and now it’s my bedside table lamp 😂

Madison Brown

I really feel like you guys would love spirited away and princess Mononoke. They both have beautiful life lessons and character building.

Rhyea

😂😂😂😂

Badd Medicine

Iben Frederiksen

I second this

romaiiiii

for suree! Rise of the Guardians is just crazy good

Milly

Rise of the Guardians! Please and thank you! Now I'm going to go finish sobbing in a corner

Lena Herbert

oof Idk. Dos oruguitas has me BAWLING every time

Lena Herbert

Same!! It's been awhile though since I watched it, and when you're really into it, it's inevitable

Lena Herbert

ENCANTO!!!! Such a good one!

Lena Herbert

Here's a few more Disney animated movies you guys NEED to check out too: - Encanto (2021) - Moana (2016)

Plebcy

This was a first watch for me too, and I don't know if I would have watched it without you guys. I was with you guys, sobbing at the end, and I can't remember the last time I cried at a movie. This is now my favorite Pixar film!

Trey

I knew what was coming in the last 10 mins and STILL cried. I saw Oak trying to hold back the tears but he couldn't. It was too much of an emotional moment to an emotional and exceptionally well put together animated movie. Glad you guys enjoyed it as much as I did.

RogueOstriches7

First time watching as well and my, my, that was beautiful.

Unholy Tater

Yes! It’s so much more than just about dinosaurs! Everything about is beautiful, from the music & the animation! It just does not get talked about anymore which is such a shame! And I haven’t even seen that many movie reactors watch it. It’s a film that I watched a lot as a kid, one of my favorites.

Annie519

Ah, The Land Before Time...one of the most emotional kids' movies ever made. How beautiful is the orchestral theme?? I know the straight-to-VHS sequels are generally accepted to be garbage, but I love every single one of them LOL.

Verity

Yes please

Coraima Corona Montijo

Don Bluth films are so good. I also really hope they watch them.

AyaaChann

First time watching this movie and wow, I cried so much, it was amazing

L AH

I would love for them to do The Land Before Time!! Don Bluth films were SO good, Secret Of NIHM, An American Tail and of course The Land Before Time were brilliant films. I also have a big soft spot for All Dogs Go To Heaven, it has it's problems but I can't help but love it.

Annie519

Yes, i totally agree with you!

AyaaChann

This film is so good, this is in my top 3 Pixar films, with Up and Inside Out. The animation is gorgeous and the characters and music is so good. I loved your reactions to not only finding out the truth about Ernesto but Hector as well, it's such a great reveal and you suspecting Hector being the villain made it even better! It was one of the few times that the surprise villain made sense and wasn't just tacked on or forced. When I first saw it I had a feeling that something wasn't right. You could just see how self-absorbed Ernesto was, they even bring up how he doesn't show up to rehearsals, the big statues of himself. There are so many small details that I love, like a hint that Ernesto wasn't his grandfather being when he was about to give him his blessing the petal wasn't lighting up like it did for Imelda. And Danta trying to bring Miguel back to Hector also was a great hint. And I like that the reason why Hector walked so different was because he was fading and by the end he's not walking like that anymore. And that moment when he finally crosses the bridge you see that Imelda made him shoes and he's wearing them. A small moment I have grown to notice and love is at the end when the family come in the room to stop Miguel, the father is yelling at him but the second Miguel starts to break down you see his father's body soften and he comforts him and its also the father that let's him continue. And it was brilliant how they could take a inspiring message like "ease your moment" and turn into being so sinister. And you do see as the film went on that Miguel was starting to turn into Ernesto, saying how he didn't care about his family, the only thing that mattered was music, yes it's great to have a passion but it shouldn't be your only happiness and he was being so selfish when it came to Hector, he literally saw someone fade away and never thought about it happening to Hector or cared. And my favorite thing is how they took a happy and upbeat song and turned into something so emotional and way more meaningful, it showed that Ernesto never understood what the song was actually about, he made it sound like a romantic song. It makes so much sense why Hector didn't want Miguel to sing Remember Me at the contest, he covers it with the excuse that everyone else is doing it but it must have been torture for Hector to constantly hear everyone sing that song when that was only meant for Coco and the reminder that Ernesto stole his songs. And every time it's sung the meaning is always just a little different. It's so good! I knew you guys would love it! Some other films that aren't Disney that I would love to see you react to is The Iron Giant, The Prince Of Egypt, The Land Before Time, The Lego Movie.

Annie519

I want them to do Encanto so bad! I'll need to go back and check but it's probably the best film Disney's made since this one! Another one I would love to see them do is Zootopia, I think that film is very underrated, no one talks about it anymore.

Annie519

I rarely ever comment on patreon posts, or anything online usually. I just enjoy the content and move on. But tonight I was having a pretty emotionally rough night, and I figured watching along to something with you guys would get me through it. I knew this ending usually wrecks me, but man, I guarantee you I was crying so much harder than even I expected by the end. But it was a good cry. I feel better now. So thank you guys for the content and I hope you guys are doing well!

KOTT

I swear its like no one remembers Treasure Planet!! It is in my top 5 favorite Disney movies ever and I wish reactors would watch it!

Christina

My maternal grandfather passed away in March 2020. He was my last living grandparent and he suffered from dementia. He would call me Stephanie all the time (which is my sisters name). I think I could count on one hand the amount of times he called me by my name. The last time I spoke with him on the phone in February 2020 he called me Christina and i will never forget that feeling. Because of Covid we had to wait until May 2021 to do a memorial for him. I never saw this movie until June 2021 when my friend had me watch it with her and to say I was an absolute WRECK at the end is an understatement. I’ve only been able to watch this movie a handful of times and I’m sobbing EVERY time. I hope Encanto is also on your list to watch soon… and Oak, bring the tissues for that one too. It gets me every time too.

Christina

Lol I was a wreck during Encanto too!

Christina

Starting this now 🤗

Sarah

FYI. The next Disney/Pixar you guys must watch is Encanto! YOU MUST. And don't worry it's not as brutal.

Tanisha Jones

I feel so bad! I knew right from the jump when you guys said this was on the docket that it would evoke an emotional reaction, but I absolutely knew it would destroy Oak.

Tanisha Jones

Im so glad you guys loved it! This is such an incredible movie. Beautiful animation, Beautiful music, great storytelling. Such a gem. I hope you get to watch Encanto soon it’s an amazing movie as well.

Raquel Perodin

I love that, whether or not you follow the holiday itself, the message hits so hard. It did when I first watched it and every time since. Makes me want to tell all the stories I remember of my family members forever. Knowing those stories can be passed down is the best message from this movie. I knew I had to re-new my membership to see this full reaction of you guys. 💌 Much love this week, all!

Jennifer K

Yaaaay I love this movie it's one of my favs. It's sooooooooooo good

Ana

I never heard of this movie before and did a first watch with you. I had 0 idea what i was getting into......... WOW This may have been one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Imp speechless. It tugged at heart strings, while making you laugh and captivating you with visuals. Haven't seens your score yet, but giving it an A+ myself. I actually cried watching this. Random was bored tonight and chose a random reaction to watch with you... A+

James Ventola

I loved this movie, it was so captivating from the start, the story and animation were phenomenal, definitely struggled a bit at the end (even though I was slightly prepared due to my dementia training for work, we learnt how music helps people with Alzheimer’s and dementia as it triggers certain memories so I had an idea of what was going to happen) it still got to me especially the final part where Miguel was singing to his family past and present. I love Badd medicine reaction videos, hope your all ok and sorry for your loss Oak.

Zoe S

I knew yall would come out when I went into work. Off all morning as soon as I clock in here go the movie smh hahaha

Love10 ❤️

This might be my favourite reaction of your that I’ve watched, it probably helps that i love this movie but this was such a great experience to see it again and see what you guys thought. ❤️

calum1

Yes I completely agree! I love Turning Red but Encanto is one of my favorites! I hope they react to it!

sarah

I absolutely love this movie. And I absolutely loved the reaction! You guys are my fav reaction channel and I'm soooo glad you've been putting out so many of my most loved movies and shows 😊 I'm looking forward to all the future releases you guys will do 😁🙌🏻🥳 Also big hug to you guys 💖Maybe place some tissues just in case another movie will hit as close as this one in the future 💕

Mone

Yesss literally my favorite Disney Pixar movie of all time so emotional always makes me cry everytime I watch it 😢 😭 🤧 😪💙 😍

Kyra Brown

I agree with Oak about the warning needed for this movie. My mother passed two years ago and the first time I watched this, I was UNDONE but now it's one of my favorite movies to help me reframe my grief and actually warms my heart. Much love, thank you for reacting

Maggie Barbour

My boyfriend and I saw this movie right after we just got back from Puerto Rico burying his aunt. We also got no heads up that this was going to hit so hard, we were a messssss after watching this. I’m glad you guys loved it! I don’t think I’ve seen it since the first watch but I still bawled my eyes out at the end! ❤️

Lily

Love this movie. Great reaction! Agree with others saying Encanto & Elemental are other really good animation movies, highly recommend. This movie made me want to get more stories from my elders before they pass. I started building a Family Tree and now have over 500 people on it. It’s been a really rewarding journey.

RavenHairedSongbird

Encanto definitely makes me cry lol.

RavenHairedSongbird

Ugh, hate watching stuff that makes me cry but this is a great movie I will try to avoid watching again lol! If I don’t watch a lot of animated films but I’d like to recommend Zack Snyder’s Legend Of The Guardians: Owls of Ga’Hoole if you haven’t seen it. I think it’s underrated, cgi is amazing & you won’t need tissues! Lol. Great reaction guys. Also, sorry for your loss Oak, sending extra love & support❤️❤️

Dee

What a great film reaction! You know its a good film when everyone gets emotional (cries) and Oak has a complete break down. I think this is a film you can watch repeatedly and it is so amazing and beautiful, that after the 30times i've watched this film, i still tear up every single time. I love that they celebrate death. Death is sad but the memories are happy. Thats why when i think of some people i lost, i feel love and smile. I loved the part at the end where you see Hector wearing new clothes and they gave him Riverra shoes! During the film his clothes were ripped and damaged and he was walked barefoot. As an animation lover, Coco, Kung Fu Panda and the Incredibles are the only "modern" 3D animations in my top 10. All the others are 2D animation. Though 'Soul' is very very very good and also 3D. If you want another film with a life message, that is the film above all films. I cant wait for you to watch some 2D animation like: - Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron - Brother Bear - Tarzan - Mulan - Treasure Planet - The Land Before Time - Atlantis The Lost Empire - Anastasia Just a few examples.

AyaaChann

Fun fact about the movie: Grandma Coco is based on a real mexican woman by the name of Maria Salud Ramirez Caballero. She passed on october 16th 2022 (what a timing) at the age of 109.

Flower-in-The-Night

I knew this one was gonna hit. Much love to Oak, I knew it'd be rough for him with his lost this past year

Eric Wallace

My grandad played the guitar, had dementia and passed away in june 2020. I watched this movie for the first time christmas 2021 and had a reaction similar to oaks 😂 it's truly an amazing movie. 💜

Tamara Wilson

😂 Mason Quinn: "So positive and uplifting, a movie to put you in a good mood."...Meanwhile, The Oak: "👀wth?! positive? Im a complete wrack."

Caroline

I couldn't watch this reaction fast enough. I LOVE this movie so much. It came out around the time my grandmother died so when I watched it for the first time, I was a mess. Even though I knew what would happen, I couldn't help tearing up when I saw Oak and Answer holding back their tears. Badd Medicine really knocked this one out of the park!

TinaLama

Don't know if its on the list but i would recommend Encanto, another Disney/Pixar movie with a powerful message. Don't think you'll need the tissues for Encanto though Oak lol.

john crosby

This reaction was everything I wanted it to be!! Love you guys so much. Special ❤️ for Oak l had the same reaction as you when mama coco began to sing 😪 beautiful movie... I can totally relate to you, at the end of October it will be 6 months that my dad passed away ... 😕

Josip Buretić

After some fo the misses lately for Oak with Coraline and Midsommar, I'm glad that you guys got to watch this one and enjoy it. I love how great it is from a technical standpoint too. It lures you into a false sense of security when you think there won't be a villain, and then right after you learn who the villain is, you also get hit with that twist that Hector and Miguel are actually the ones related! It's just such a great reveal. It is truly such an amazing movie, and yeah I'm always a crying sniffling mess at the end of this movie in the best way.

Marco Gutierrez

I knew you guys were gonna love this movie! One of my personal favorites animated movies for sure!

Miss_CJ

This movie is such a beautiful celebration of Mexican culture. Visually I think it's one of the more (if not the most) stunning animated movies. The scene where Miguel is going over the flower bridge and we see the world of the dead for the first time always takes my breath away. The ending always makes me bawl my eyes out. I knew you guys would love it. I know Encanto is already on the list and it's just as good as this one! Plus it has even more amazing songs.

Halestar

What a great movie and reaction. I was tearing up right there next to you fellas! Also just a fantastic representation of Mexican culture

Madison RaeAnn Apitz

If it's Pixar, that should be enough warning to keep tissue nearby. :D When you guessed Hector was the villain, I knew you would be in for a rude awakening. lol I'm probably a bit bias because I'm Mexican American, but Coco is my all time favorite Pixar movie. Happy you enjoyed it!

Tina

Please put Encanto on your list! Encanto along with Coco are some of my favorite newer Disney/Pixar movies that came out. Also, despite the silly controversial views, I think y'all would enjoy Turning Red as well.

Kelly Melvin

I second this!

Kelly Melvin

Oak 😭 sorry, we all should've given you a warning lol and I'm still so sorry about your father and wishing him an amazing heavenly birthday 🥹🖤

Dustee Lodholtz

The way i thought i wouldnt cry because i watched it already, but damn does this movie tug at your heart . Such a stellar movie

Dy'Nasha

My grandma has dementia. She sometimes feels embarrassed about not remembering us. I always tell her as long as I know who she is we'll be okay.

NS

Elemental is another great Pixar/Disney animation. Beautiful visuals and great storytelling. Y'all will love it👍

Ashley H.N

I agree, Encanto is great!

McKenzie Brewer

This movie by Pixar and Encanto by Disney Animation are two of my favorite animated films in quite a while. I hope Encanto is on the list!

Alex Boatman

I should mention that I nearly suggested bringing tissues in my earlier comments. But I did not want to give too much away beforehand. When I saw it, I cried for the whole last 15 minutes. (This doesn't happen to me often, and it shows what a great film this is.) So glad that you appreciated it. But anything else would have surprised me. I love the portrayal of Mexican culture and dealing with the subject of death. Especially for a children's film, this is a really heavy topic. But they've done it wonderfully. Few other Pixar films are on the same level. I still hope you'll plan to watch Souls and, of course, Ratatouille. (It will always be my favorite.) ♥️

Caroline

yess been waiting for THISSS!!!

MOISES RIOS

AAAAH so excited!

sett4r

thanks so much for the awesome content guys 🥰🥰

stephanie

"The book of life" would be a great treat after this one* Cant wait to watch this one :D

Cojuancidence

Can’t wait guys! Love y’all! Had to ask, I’d Love, Death, and Robots on Netflix on your guys’ list? I think y’all would love it

Diego

YES. Watching immediately <3

Conor Moriarty
