Woah nice. That makes me irrationally happy 😁. Also another reason to rewatch AOT with you all 👍

Since we're already at the halfway point, i have a suggestion for another animated series. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an anime, which I feel could be right up your alley. Definitely one of the best ones, with great themes. Its a great entry anime as it keeps low on the fanservice levels that plague a lot of anime, so you don't have to worry about that, but has great animations, storytelling, worldbuilding and characters.

Naitsab_33

You have to remember harmonic conversions, and Korra allowing the spirits to roam the world again caused the world to reset itself basically. And then, doing so, the world solved. There were not a lot of airbenders, and I believe it corrected that, bringing balance once again to the four nations 🙂

yall should watch alice in borderland on netflix

i would love for you all to check out young justice next if you need a fix for mature and interesting shows aimed at younger audiences

Season 3 is amazing, but season 4 won’t let you down, it’s great too! It will be sad when it’s all over :(

Stephanie Hundley

Seasons 3 and 4 have received a lot of hype in the comments since we started. Looking forward to what the story brings us.

Looking forward to what season 3 brings

Yup, that's pretty much the justification that I'm sure they were working off of in order to come up with lavabending. Bloodbending also supports this idea too. I think that it makes perfect sense, but the one thing I don't like about it is that I'm pretty sure in the original series bending lava was a high level firebender move, never an earthbender move. Like I said, I could be wrong but I remember that Roku and Sozin used firebending to bend and tame the volcano that was threatening Roku's village.

Marco Gutierrez

So that's pretty much similar to metal bending in a way. Isn't like a more refined bending of the element?

Miss_CJ

Mason Quinn was on top of it! But yeah, this series dives deeper into the sub-bending abilities. We've already seen things like blood, sand, healing, metal, lightning, and now lava (or molten rock) bending. So pretty awesome getting all these cool variations of benders.

I FORGOT THE ZUKO REVEAL WAS THIS EPISODE...man the hype i felt before clicking play to watch your reactions, there's reasons why this is so many peoples' favorite season (me included)

Jimmy Wise

True but Raava is more powerful (larger) when she recombined with Korra. So who knows

Marco said it above but yes Ghazan is an earth bender and he was lava bending there. Each of their individual prisons was built specifically to keep them as far away from their bending element as possible. Hence why Ghazan was in the middle of the ocean in a wooden cage, Ming Hua was in a volcano away from any water, and if you caught it, Zuko at the end said to warn the northern water tribe that an attack is on the way to their prison -- so im sure you can guess which element the last woman will have 😏

And the best villains in the series enter the chat...

As others have already pointed out, Ghazan is an earthbender which is why Zaheer tossed some rocks into his cage and why he was in a prison made of pure wood out in the middle of the ocean: far away from any earth he can bend. What he was doing is a new form of earthbending: lava bending. After all, lava is just extremely hot molten earth. Also, Oak is so certain that the avatar state is such a trump card, but at this point in the show I was asking myself: is the avatar state even as strong anymore? After all, it's the combined power and wisdom of all the past avatars, but the connection to those past avatars is gone now.

Marco Gutierrez

man, Earthbenders have such cool subsets

JessTellsTales

The armless waterbender's name is Ming-Hua and she was born without arms. Probably one of the coolest and strongest waterbenders in LOK.

Marla I.

Welcome to the best season! I've been waiting for this upload. Ghazan is an earthbender. His lava bending style is a specialized subset of earthbending. Ming-Hua has no arms. In the same way Toph used her bending to see, Ming-Hua's bending acts as prosthesis for her.

Best book ever!!!!
