Following the funeral ceremony, a crow makes an appearance, drawing parallels to Edgar Allan Poe's literature, where crows symbolize eternal sorrow. Given Roderick's tragic loss of all his children, this symbolism takes on a poignant and haunting significance.

If you haven't already I hope you guys check out some of his movies, Hush and Gerald's Game are my two favs (They also have many familiar faces). Also I'll point out Toby the assistant to Kate Siegel is the younger brother from midnight mass.

You guys missed the ghost of the mother behind Auguste Dupin, she turned around and walked away, thereβs definitely too much lights where you guys are at π Also, you didnβt recognize young Shirley from the haunting of hill house, who played the sister Madeline as a teenager (when their mother left the coffin and strangled the bossπ)
