The sequel does try to convey a message about staying true to oneself, but it gets lost amid the exaggerated scenarios and over-the-top antics. The cast did great with what they were given. The story just wasn't there. Sorry y'all, just not as good as the first.

When I voted for Legally Blonde in the poll, I was only voting for the first movie. I don't not believe the rule about sequels always being worse but this sequel really helps the argument. I was worried at the opening credits when I watched it in theaters but when I knew it wasn't going to be good was when she shows up to DC.

Let's not forget it was her knowledge of beauty that won her case in the first film. Sure law school made her more serious, but this is also something she had passion for. She needed to be less serious because it's what actually helped her.
