I get your point and I agree.... I did want to ask how sub benders then? where they seem like they have a primary bend element with a sub passive or something I still dont know how they work.

I’ve seen korra before but I was def hung up on ATLA and never end up finishing it so I’m excited to do this now. Thank you for taking the time to do this series even though there are a lot, I’m hype you guys are just as into it and as excited. All the ATLA references is honestly so nostalgic to me now esp now that general iroh is here.

You can speculate all day aobut where it ends, but lets look at the facts. Bending is the one and only thing Amon is focused on. He's built his entire following and revolution on removing bending. We're not talking about someone being really smart or athletic, we're talking about people having, what is essentially, a superhuman ability. You can learn and read to become smarter. You can workout and exercise to become more athletic. But when it comes to bending, you either possess the ability or you don't. A non-bender can't learn to be a bender. And even benders, unless they're the Avatar, can't learn more than one element.

2023-08-21 23:41:30 +0000 UTCI'm very hard on Korra as a whole as it has its highs and lows, but I kinda wish the comments would limit opions on season by season views until after they finish watching it all to let have have a clean slate and just enjoy it. and potentially avoid spoilers. Right now I'm just enjoying watching with them, leaving my views out until the end.

My reasoning is that the best parts of the show were interacting with the old show in whatever form that was, if thats your only draw then you failed at your main characters... that is my opinion not a fan of the new avatar gang much. Bolin is cool tho.

They initially only commissioned a single season, and then as S1's production was wrapping up commissioned a second one, and then as S2's production was wrapping up commissioned a third and forth season--as a result, S1 and S2 can feel somewhat more self-contained than ATLA's seasons did. The first half of S2 was also animated by an entirely different animation studio because of timing issues, so it might look slightly different when you guys get to it. That said, S3 and S4 are my fav things the Avatar universe has produced, so I'm very excited to see your thoughts on it when the time comes.
