EARLY RELEASE: YT CUT The Boys 1x5

🟩 I have finally given "The Boys" a try! Similar to Badd Medicine, I appreciate that the show is very well written, including its portrayal of the damage and injustice done by people who abuse their powers. Unfortunately, I feel too much anxiety and stress from watching the show's style of portraying the damage and injustice ( which is certainly effective as intended ). 🟦 I do have severe post-traumatic stress, so unfortunately the discomfort is multiplied. My post-traumatic stress is not from having been in war or the military ( I have not been in either ). Unfortunately, I have been in situations where I ( and probably others ) suffered traumatic damage caused by the things people do. Sometimes ( depending on the style of portrayal ), I do enjoy war-related shows, because some of the feelings and thoughts that are portrayed, are relatable to non-war situations where people harm people - and the portrayals of situations that I do not understand, give me a ( artistically represented ) glimpse of other people's experiences and situations. 🟧 Unfortunately, "The Boys"'s graphic gore & violence and narrative style activates too much post-traumatic stress for me, so I am not planning to continue watching the episodes - though, of what I saw ( I watched your youtube edits so there's more blurring, which I appreciate ), I really like that the show has been written to portray so much human experiences. I especially like that Hughie advocated for gay people! ( In the way that Hughie stopped Ezekiel from doing more conversion therapy, which is unfortunately sometimes done by people who are gay themselves ). 🟪 Somewhat related : If Badd Medicine is looking to react to more current shows with higher viewership ( to increase your channel membership ), may I suggest "Heartstopper" ( Netflix 2022 ~ present ) for future consideration. "Heartstopper" viewership ranked highly at time of its release, and Season 3 is anticipated for 2024. "Heartstopper" features a central gay relationship. I have not had time to watch "Heartstopper" beyond various clips, so I don't know all of its content - but I liked the clips I saw. It's possible that some viewers may react with intense opinions, to 4 straight men watching a show with a central gay relationship - though from what I could tell, people seem to have reacted mostly positively to Badd Medicine watching Bill & Frank's story in The Last of Us 1x3. I know Badd Medicine's schedule is and will continue to be quite packed - just a suggestion for future consideration.
