Zack Snyder's Justice League FULL REACTION

Zack Snyder's Justice League. The real Justice League film :) The film delves deeper into the backstories of each hero, offering a more profound understanding of their motivations and internal struggles. Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman bring gravitas to their roles, while Ezra Miller's The Flash and Ray Fisher's Cyborg get the character arcs they deserved, adding emotional depth to the team dynamic.

One of the standout elements of the Snyder Cut is the introduction of Ray Fisher's Cyborg. His character takes center stage, showcasing his tragic origin and the internal conflict that comes with his newfound abilities. The emotional journey of Cyborg forms the emotional core of the film, making him a pivotal character in the League's quest to save the world.

Additionally, the reimagined antagonist, Steppenwolf, played by Ciarán Hinds, exudes a more formidable presence. His motives and backstory are fleshed out, providing a clearer understanding of the threat he poses to Earth. This version of Steppenwolf feels more menacing and better aligned with the apocalyptic stakes the Justice League faces. And that ending with Batman and Joker.... did that not make you WANT to see something more?!?!

Visually, the film is a treat, featuring stunning action sequences and breathtaking special effects. Snyder's signature slow-motion shots and visually captivating scenes create a visually immersive experience, befitting the larger-than-life heroes.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is a redemption for the DCEU, offering a more satisfying and complete version of the superhero team-up. With its compelling character development, improved storytelling, and awe-inspiring visuals, Snyder's vision leaves a lasting impact.

Zack Snyder's Justice League FULL REACTION

Comments

I know this is a bit late to the party but There are two different Justice Leagues basically Snyder was supposed to do a couple. He left the project at post production cause his daughter Autumn had committed suicide so him stepping aside during that time is 1000% understandable. Joss was brought in to complete it post production. Joss decided to pretty much go back and do his "vision" of Justice League, doing rewrites, new shoots etc. which is part of the Henry/moustache stuff etc. Joss went in and did an additional 2 months of rewrites and reshoots. He completely changed Snyders script and film. And it didn't do well. Nearly everyone that I've seen react to Snyder cut or talked to about it all agree Snyders version should have been left alone it was far superior. In Joss' version we only get like 10-15 minutes of cyborg/Victor. I try to put the Joss version in the past and pretend it doesn't exist..

Ryan Towell

you have to always remember that Snyder had two more Justice League movies planned to tell his whole story. Why end credits are confusing.

Winter_Rose

I'm betting diamond Dave wrote this.

SILV3R SP3CT3R

You guys should watch the 2017 version to see the magnitude of a difference between them. Even tho it's a horrible movie.

Marek Pietruszka

Here for the Snyder Cut from YouTube! Hey guys!

Daniel R

Imo the writing was inconsistent and lazy. I don't feel the 2x length of film really added many scenes that drove the story forward...just fluff. And soo much over use of slow motion. I'd give film about a 5.5 maybe 6. My mind just lost interest here and there

Kat M.

I'm curious; what's your beef with it?

Amy Petty

This movie blew my mind in terms of how you can essentially have the same story but have one movie be so meh and the other so good. Yes it is long but this has that epic superhero feel to it that I really enjoyed

Ivan Rasmussen

I just couldn't get on board with this film, i tried. Being the better one of a bad movie doesn't make it a good movie

Kat M.

I 2nd that on The Accountant! Affleck is really great in it and it's a damn good movie at that. Y'all should DEF check it out sometime if you haven't yet 👍🏻

Roxanne LIL CRIP Kemmerer

Ok I shouldn't have said edit that's on me, but Zack said he didn't cut any scenes out in a interview I watched at the time this came out.

Jam

It seems pretty obvious to me they always intended there to be a franchise built around this movie, but that's apparently been completely axed since James Gunn announced to the world that Henry Cavill would be vacating the role of Superman since he (Gunn) is taking the franchise in a new direction. Which was a supremely dickish move on his part after Cavill made a point of leaving The Witcher.

Amy Petty

I enjoyed this movie overall - more to the point, I found it to be a BETTER movie than that theatrical travesty. That said, I agree insofar as I strongly dislike Snyder's darker, more deconstructionist take on Bats and Supes. I understand what both he and similarly-aligned writers are going for, but personally I just find these darker visions of superheroes very distasteful.

Amy Petty

No, I understood you perfectly fine; I can't imagine why you think I didn't. "Everything he filmed he put in the movie didn't edit or cut a scene out" is exactly what you said in the first place, and you're wrong. NO film you watch is ever unedited. Just because it ran for over four hours doesn't mean that Snyder didn't make edits as he went along or cut some scenes as production developed over time.

Amy Petty

Zack Snyder delivers one of his best film with Justice League. The film has an engaging story with a lot of heart and a great cast of characters who all have good chemistry together standouts being Ezra Millers Flash and Ray Fishers Cyborg. The film also has many easter eggs and cameos fans of the comics will recognize. Zack Snyder's justice league is far better than theatrical cut, in every way you can think of, steppenwolf is an actual threat now, his cgi is great, he has a clear goal, but cyborg is the heart of the movie and one of the best characters, Snyder did each hero justice, and flash powers are incredible and mind-blowing, (end scene 🤯) Wonder woman is nothing like what we've seen in ww84, she is a valiant warrior and badass character, I really liked how they portrayed darkseid and paved the way for a potential JL2, he is an absolute great villain, and junkie xl music is epic and great. No words can describe the experience. Seeing all the struggles, backstory to this controversy and it coming into life makes it amazing. What a masterpiece.

Antwan V

Just FYI, the first two Lord of the Rings theatrical releases were just at 3 hours long, and the Return of the King was a bit less than 3 1/2. Each extended cut release added 30+ odd minutes to each title's total runtime. It's extremely unusual for movies to run for four hours, and I wager we can thank the LotR films, specifically, for three hour runtimes becoming more common than they were previously.

Amy Petty

I always wanted to watch this but was put off by the runtime but after watching, it didn't even feel like 4 hours lol. Loved all the other character stories but i think as tragic as cyborg's story was, his arc was probably my favorite. Is there going to be a part 2? The setup is so cool.

Animal

I think you misunderstood. Everything he filmed he put in the movie didn't edit or cut a scene out.

Jam

I need to start commenting on stuff i enjoy so i dont seem like a downer all the time. I'm really not a fan of this movie. I dont enjoy zack snyders movies or his vision for these characters (mostly batman). It wasn't my favorite with the original joss cut but the snyder cut added almost $100 million in reshoots and promotions that i think were useless. just made a boring movie longer. just my opinion though, hope yall got some fulfilment out of watching!

Banana Hammocks

The biggest difference for me was cyborgs story. I remember feeling like I cared nothing about him and he felt kind of pointless in the original but this one I really enjoyed his character. Loved Henry as Superman & I hope to see him in some other things but I’ve been getting my fix by rewatching him in Man from U.N.C.L.E, Fallout & Night Hunter. Also, Ben is great in The Accountant so if you haven’t seen it, whether on here or on your own time, it’s a fun watch.

Dee

I mean, this is just silly. Of course the film is edited and of course there were cuts.

Amy Petty

People who dislike Erza Miller generally aren't concerned with their acting performance - it's the actor we dislike, not their portrayal of a character. If he did a great job, that's just not relevant, because the issue is the fact the actor is a terrible person. But also please note that the actor is nonbinary. They, not he.

Amy Petty

I'm a diehard MCU fan, but I'm also the original Superman fangirl. I've always been more deeply well-versed in X-Men and their various allies, so from the beginning I knew the characters and underpinning narratives of the MCU much more intimately than anything from DC. But having said that, I actually was a devoted fan of Supes, Bats, and Wonder Woman before I took a hard right turn into Marvel. Like it or not, those three characters in particular are vastly more iconic than any other comics character. So for the life of me I do not understand why it has been so damned hard for DC to do what the MCU has done. It was clear that Joss Whedon was TRYING to deliver the same magic with Justice League as happened with the Avengers. It's just as clear that he failed spectacularly.

Amy Petty

All this - and to be honest the original movie is *drastically* different. The Snyder cut isn't just the 2017 movie with some added scenes. It's a wholly different movie! And that's before you get to the fact that the original movie was *bad*. Not just in comparison to this one, but on its own. I didn't remember much of the theatrical version myself. I only knew that it was a huge disappointment; after I watched the Snyder cut I went back to the original specifically because I realized I could only remember a few key bits. But I was completely struck by how *much* I'd forgotten. I think it speaks to just how bad that version was for it to be so utterly forgettable.

Amy Petty

Yep this was supposed to be the original cut but WB and Joss Whedon put a stop to that and tried to make it more like a Marvel movie, they just had to finish the CGI and the only added scenes were for the epilogue, and the "dreams" were actually visions for what's to come in the future, Zack also wanted the person to visit Bruce at the end to be Green Lantern but WB didn't allow it so he used Martian Manhunter instead. The villain at the end with Lex is Slade Wilson AKA Deathstroke who is a Batman and Teen Titans villain and sometimes one of Green Arrow, fun fact Deadpool was a parody of Deathstroke hence his name being Wade Wilson, another fun fact is Thanos was actually inspired by Darkseid and both are basically the big bad for Marvel and DC, and you guessed it another fun fact or not so fun fact is Joker was talking about Jason Todd the second Robin who was brutally beaten to death by Joker with a crowbar. I feel bad for Zack because he had just lost his daughter to suicide and stepped aside from the movie to grieve, and then they butchered his vision of the movie he wanted people to see, but the fans wanted it come out so he basically finished it for the fans of his movies and for his daughter, which is why you see "For Autumn" at the end. Zack basically made these movies as a Superman story going through his life and death to see him become the Superman people know, and then get controlled by Darkseid with the anti life equation after Lois's death, and then let other directors do movies of the individual heroes, people are free to not like Zack and his movies but I have seen a lot of people hate him for no reason other than not liking his movies, some even blame his movies being "bad" for the cause of his daughters suicide. People have legit criticism for his movies which is fine as everybody is free to like or dislike them, but at the end of the day he is just a dude who loves making movies and taking characters in different directions, he tried to do his own thing but in the end it sadly didn't go they way he planned so now they have to reboot the whole universe, sorry for the long post but there was a lot to talk about and I hope you continue watching more of the DCEU or DC in general or Snyders Watchmen.

Oak, why do you keep apologizing for not being able to recall things? Watching a movie for the first time should be NEW to you. Being able to compare this movie with the 2017 movie isn’t a requirement. Watch and enjoy, comment where you can…we enjoy watching you enjoy and react… you don’t have to know anything really! Enjoy the movie man!

Grandma’s4GreatReacts

Oak you are correct about superman’s suit it was supposed to be black in the original but after he stepped away it was changed to the original colour but for me the black suit was the better one, joss whedon ruined the 2017 one and cut most of cyborg out of the movie. The fact you have watched this close to you watching the new flash movie means your going to enjoy the flash so much more. Loved the reactions

Wattyone1

This is the most mid tier a movie could be, not super terrible, not super great, just ultimately confounded mediocrity like the other DC Snyder movies, they get better WW1 and TSS 2021 are great films, but mostly because they have nothing to do with snyders creative vision, which was a knock off injustice story. TBH no live action superhero movie holds a candle to the DCAMU finest films, maybe the GOTG trilogy but even that only scratches the surface of true potential Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman l, and the rest of the leaguers have, god nearly ten years later and it still doesn’t get any easier to be a DC fan

In the theater release I knew it was going to be a bad movie when Steppenwolf was about to beam out of Ministhera and giving his speech about taking over the world. He said to the queen in a menacing way “You will love me, you will all love me.” I hate when stories do that. I only had a little experience with recent super hero movies up until then. On the other hand, I knew the Snyder cut was going to be good when Diana showed up in Olympus, retrieved the arrow and dropped down into the cave. The movie had so much attention to detail, and no cheap tricks or short cuts. It was in the height of the pandemic, we weren’t going out much and my HBO MAX account was relatively new. So 4 hours of something to do and be occupied was welcomed. And I was not expecting this masterpiece, I was engaged every minute and even got teary eyed a few times.

Ebony

Hell yeah

Eric Wallace

Im going to watch this at some point with ya'll. Its just soooooo long. It was really good though def worth the 4 hours. 💜

Alyssa Dyson

I saw the other version in theaters and I enjoyed it. Loved the jokes in the other one. I saw this one at home and it just BLEW ME AWAY. I have done this 4 hour rewatch since the release many times and I don’t mind it at all! Great Reaction!

Shirlene Wright

To this day I can't respect Joss Whedon for cutting all the Cyborg stuff. It was a damn shame that was all cut from his edit because it added so much to the character that was so needed. It's a long watch and I'm not one of those Snyder Ultra-fans that think the movie is Gold and the best Superhero movie ever made (dont kill me Snyder fans! Haha), but it is so much more enjoyable that the Theatrical release

Shane Kolaga

I actually really like this movie, I love how we get all the heroes/anti heroes we know and love. I actually love Erza Miller's Barry Allen, lots of people don't because of all the allegations and arrest history going on with him, but I think he did a great job with the embodiment of Barry. Everyone loves the TV version of Barry, as do I, I saw him first on Arrow (if you guys haven't watched that series it would be AMAZING to see you react to it!) And then I started watching Flash and loved it. I haven't watched your reaction yet so I'm ready willing and able to watch as soon as I can! 🖤🤘🏻

Dustee Lodholtz

Zack didn't cut anything out, since fans wanted to see his cut he thought it would be unfair to release it edited like a normal film.

Jam

🦸🏻🧜🏼‍♂️

Shirlene Wright

More than my love for this movie is the beautiful message behind it of not being alone and just the sheer amount of money that was raised for afsp through it. Thank you so much for the reaction.

Trigon

The Snyder cut is the original vision of Zack with a little bit of extra footage he added after it was going to be released. In 2017 he had to leave the Justice League movie because his daughter committed suicide. Warner Bros took advantage of this and the bad reaction to Batman v Superman to bring in Joss Whedon who did the first two Avengers films to take over and change the movie. Whedon rewrote the movie and he was still bitter about the bad reaction to the second Avengers film, so he was a pain to work with and most of the crew did not enjoy working with him on the film including Gal who had to file a complaint to Warner Bros and Ray Fisher who had a horrible experience with Joss. Joss basically changed most everything and the stuff that is the same are different shots and edited differently.

Jam

I love this film soooo much. :-D
