However, destiny has something extraordinary in store for Po when he is unexpectedly chosen as the Dragon Warrior, the prophesied savior who must protect the Valley of Peace from the menacing Tai Lung, a formidable snow leopard who seeks to claim the Dragon Scroll.

In what country is this movie streamable? I live in the Netherlands and tried that and the USA but I can't find the movie anywhere.

I don't know if you knew, but the animals of the five represent real animal styles, such as the tiger and crane from Hung Gar Kung Fu. I used to be a Hung gar kung fu world champion, and I remember when, in 2008, all of my gang and fellow students went to see this at the movie theater. We all wore panda make up, and red head bangs... great times, great memories. On to KF panda 2 !

2023-07-31 04:02:58 +0000 UTCGreat to hear and learn about Mason Quinn and Oak's experiences and thoughts on when some parts of movies can cause more stress or bother than enjoyment. I did not realize that some events in How to Train Your Dragon 2 + Tangled + Up can cause Badd Medicine intense or lingering stress or bother, beyond what you want in a weekend movie experience ( mentioned during the Kung Fu Panda review ). For myself, it's when movies have fearful horror, jump scares or graphic violence & gore, that causes me to experience intense or lingering stress or bother.

You mentioned that Ian McShane wasn’t big in 2008 when Panda came out…However, Ian McShane was Judas in Zeffereli’s Jesus of Nazareth in the 70’s. He was Al Swearengen in HBO’s hit Western Series, “Deadwood” as well as a part in Game Of Thrones to name a few of his American roles. He was and is a really big star in Europe…Ian McShane is 80 and has been acting on stage, movies, TV, as well as voice acting (Shrek, etc.)30 years before John Wick…FYI

2023-07-27 00:25:42 +0000 UTCThe reason Po was able to defeat Tai Lung, was because he is the person he is. The other masters are all better than him and have achieved the highest rank in their own Kung Fu style, but you cant always defeat strength with strenght. Po had such a different way of thinking and he used his body to his advantage. Something he has been looked down upon, was the reason he won and saved them all. Everyone called him fat, but BECAUSE he was fat, he was able to bounce, being really flexible (like real panda's) and use all that as a strenght. Tai Lung couldnt paralize him, because as you've seen earlier in the film with the pressure points, you cant reach Po's nerves, he has to much fat. He won because he was different from all the others. Oogway is such a wise and beautiful character. Even to this day, i still think of the great lines he had in this film. helpful for young and old. Loved your reactions! Kung Fu Panda 2 is my favourite and 3 is also very good but in a different way. Also, all three films togheter, are one big message of life. Incredible lessons, funny moments, perfect animation, elite voice cast, fun fight scenes, memorable soundtrack, and deep emotional moments. It has it all! You should give the other two movies a try, the second one is maybe even better!

2023-07-26 18:12:29 +0000 UTCIt's a rare feat, but the Sequel to this movie might be better than the first.... Kung Fu Panda is one of the TOP TIER animated movies! I know you guys are dipping your feet into Anime soon with AoT (Attack on Titan) but I would HIGHLY reccomend watching one of the most influential Anime's of all time (its a movie too! Not a show) with Akira! A VERY influential work that best I've heard described is it was the equivalent of the British wave that hit America with The Beatles, Akira did for Japanese animation in America! It's mind bending and beautiful (100% hand drawn if I'm not mistaken!). Truly a masterpiece!
