also it's amazing that these movies literally get better with time because the CGI looking worse and worse makes it so much funnier. these are iconic movies.. you can't tell me this didn't inspire a whole wave of sports comedies in the mid 2000s (Ricky Bobby, Semi-Pro, Dodgeball, Blades of Glory)

2023-07-22 00:32:10 +0000 UTCIt seems like the Hong Kong release had scenes that were cut in the American one. Some of the violent scenes, which I guess sort of makes sense. They did the same with Kung Fu Hustle, but it was very minor there. Maybe one shot got changed. But there were some others, like the coach's meeting with the evil boss near the end. Seems the Amazon version also took out the outtakes at the end too. Some of the editing choices with this cut were a bit strange, but it was still a fun watch along.
