If you'd like some more Arcane content, I DEFINITELY suggest reacting to the Arcane: Bridging the Rift documentary series. It's on YouTube and you can watch all five episodes for free. It's basically a behind-the-scenes of how they created this incredible show. Each episode focuses on an aspect of putting it all together. They go into how risky it was, the writing process, teaming up with the french animation studio Fortiche, making the music, the voice acting and sound design, etc. Honestly you get a lot of content from it and it's a really great additional thing to watch after finishing the show. A lot of people love it, it's just really well made.

man I just came back from London on vacation visiting family. downloaded Arcane for the plane but decided itd be better to watch with the boys. Damn glad I waited till I was back this show was a journey and a half. SHEEEEESH this was so good. Glad u guys all enjoyed it as much as I did too. Now I gotta catch up on the boys watches and Korra. Thought you would like to know about the game chars you can play in game: viktor is a masked warrior, jayce with his hammer, jinx with the machine gun, vi with her gloves, Kaitlin with her sniper rifle, ekko has a few sec time rewind thingy, Heimerdinger which is actually not played a lot. and surprisingly Singed which is the doctor viktor and silco went to for help.

Sevika will probably take over the undercity.. Jinx is a lose canon according to the lore. Everyone in the council probably gone except Jayce and Viktor. Mel's mom will seek revange. Ekko and Heim team up to work on stuff and rebuild the undercity. New threats in the undercity where teased in the finale like the scientists' creations. Hopefully we start expanding the story to other regions.

Some details I noticed on this 2nd watch through was that moment before Jinx picks up her gun after Silco passes, the "voices" in her head finally settled, the back and forth between Jinx and Powder finally concluded. The other detail I noticed on this second watch through was how before the rocket hits the window where the council members are the gold neck and back jewelry that Mel Medarda had on lit up with a glow, and with how you guys called back to how Mels mother said she prioritizes her family safety above all else this made me think perhaps that jewelry set she had on was a gift from her mother or something like that. We see her take the ring off when making the call for peace almost as if to say "I'm not taking my mother's path". It's making me think along the lines of what Dave was thinking about. Another scene the show cut to in the end sequence was the undercity scientist and his lab which was interesting, may have significance with undercity rulings in season 2. Perhaps he steps in? Because remember he was at odds with Heimerdinger when he left the university. Also checked for season 2 and it says 2024 😫, it was projected for 2023 summer but I'm glad their taking the extra time because I want to watch something well put together and not rushed... it's just the waiting... 😂

In the first EP little man (echo) talks about how he sold some stuff to Jace and he didnt even haggle (thats how they knew we was rich and could be robbed). In the Hand once again Jace just offered a big deal for sovereignty and didnt even haggle.

this show has so many BANGING lines. "In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good." "You can't just give people what they need to survive, you have to give them what they need to live." and so many others. Honestly, the lessons is what and then grey scale of every character is what I find the most amazing. I really liked Silco, he was a fantastic villain/Antagonist. The full-circle with his relationship with Vander as well. So many great, top tier things about this show.

It’s also based off a fairly popular game series, and I think it’s one of the best game adaptations and shows Netflix has. I know you guys get a lot of recommends so I’m just throwing it out there… Loved the reactions to Arcane! One of the rare 10/10 shows for me

Despite it being a bit long it’s a truly amazing backstory to how much effort and love went into this series from every aspect of the show. No cut corners and you really learn why throughout the documentary. Next up…Korra!!

The thing I love about Mel is that she does in fact have manipulative qualities to her. But it's only when we see her backstory do we understand that her manipulations are her way of trying to be a good person while still maintaining her upper class status. Unlike her mother who prefers to warmonger and murder to maintain upper class status. A bad quality can look good when compared to a far worse quality. The manipulator vs the killer

The game itself is very rich in lore and every single character in the game is apart of the this universe in separate times in history which is why I doubt they would cover ever character from LoL in Arcane. That being said if you were to log onto the game and read everyone's lore not only would u get spoiled in character design you would get spoiled in future characters to come which is why I think its crazy when people say "leagues has nothing to do with Arcane" when the its literally all right there! They already had so much material to work with for the show. The GAMEPLAY has nothing to do with Arcane! Hell some of the lines that the characters say In game were said on Arcane as easter eggs along with other tiny details that were placed here and there that went over peoples heads. It is not meant to be identical to leagues or lore that already existed to say its a script directly from the game but the Story of Piltover, Zaun and Noxus, its characters and more characters and nations that may or may not come into play(Which already existed because of LoL) is being told beautifully through Arcane and as a fan of the entirety of league of legends I can already speculate what is to come and how some characters will come into play in Arcane. They have so many talented people at Riot the animation and the writing behind Arcane... is just something special, just like your guys reaction to this series if any one of u gets to read this. You guys are awesome! As to anyone who shits on the game.. Honestly... Mad Cause Bad. ;)

Only some characters design maybe could give some spoiler on how they look in the game, but besides that, Arcane is on its own universe of the league of legends. +1 vote for watching the "how arcane is made", it's just so crazy what went down behind the scenes. (dont forget to turn on subtitles, because sometimes they speak french)

It is a great video of a therapist analyzing Jinx and Silco and their relationship. Definitely recommend checking out the making of the show even if y'all don't post a reaction to it. As far as content that would make for good additional reactions in the Arcane cinematic universe, there's a few music videos produced by Riot (the company behind the game/show) that y'all would really enjoy. Animation on par with the show (if not actually better) and insane fight scenes showcasing characters from the game. The most popular are Awaken | Season 2019 Cinematic, Warriors | Season 2020 Cinematic, and The Call | Season 2022 Cinematic. These don't have any show spoilers and are super popular among reactors that enjoyed Arcane (also shouldn't be copyright issues, so watch-along format not needed). Collectively they have over 400m views on youtube, so needless to say they do not disappoint. Highly recommend y'all make one video reacting to these 3 (plus any others that y'all feel like, I see people are recommending Get Jinxed). Cheers.

I know nothing about the game but I'm convinced the shimmer of Mel's armor is significant. If you notice, it shimmers and she quickly turns towards the threat before the bomb breaks the glass. 🤔 And it's Mel then Jayce and Viktor behind her to the left (with Viktor sitting) ... so Jayce may be banged up but I'm hopeful they'll all survive.

If you guys don't want to commit all the time to watching the behind the scenes, you guys should really check out "Get Jinxed" its a music video they made for Jinxes creation 10 years ago and it basically defined the visuals for Jinx and Piltover for the show 10 years later. It's cool to see what has changed in that time and what has stayed the same. And the video is only 3 minutes long.

Im so glad you enjoyed the show. The game itself isnt bad, but the community consists of certain players that make it worse for others. But the world of Runeterra is so vast with so many great individual storylines and if you pool them together, there is great potential for continuing the show and for finally doing the writers some justice. Because the lore is uite often dissmised by people outside the core lore community :)

Thank you all for such a grea reaction to this show! Definitely a few things I feel going into season 2. First, the show beautifully put a beautiful hint to season two in the show that is easy to miss but for those who catch it at the end will have questions. Second, I feel s2 is going to start with a full world of chaos and if there is anyone who thrives in chaos its jinx. Third, Ambessa the man coming after their family and noxus are going to be next big players. As for the game the game is great in its own right but its not a game that you play for story. Its a competitive 5v5 game that has a pretty toxic community like most competitive gaming scenes do

It's only 5 episodes, each around 40 minutes, and covers everything that went into the making of season 1, from the animation, to the music, to just how many times the show was almost shelved. Definitely something to check out and I know everyone who watched you guys would love to see you react to it.

I also love the little hints that lead to speculations like the overall appearing ravens/crows and the enemy Mel's mother is talking about bc there exists one character in the game associated to crows and noxia (where they come from)...and I really hope to see him in the future (no more spoilers). And of course Singed's "creation" who is also someone we already know as his theme music already dropped earlier in the show ;)

I'll join the chorus of folks mentioning the Lore of Runeterra (the world of League of Legends) and no 'story' to the gameplay itself. The lore however is extremely vast, not all fleshed out and still very much still in progress. They're building an expanding universe of stories that extend through the different IPs Riot has: its different games, comics and cinematics, and Riot ("they") grant themselves wiggle room from IP to IP in case the writers don't exactly line up the stories they write - meaning to say lore in each iteration doesn't necessarily follow an overall canon. Arcane and in game lore are not necessarily supposed to line up 1:1 and it's exciting even for long time players to experience the story since we won't know exactly what will happen. We can expect certain things to go a certain way, but the details and how we get there is a complete mystery.

This series is so incredible. I can't see them taking out all the characters in the council room. With the exception of episode 3, they've pulled their punches when it comes to eliminating people. My mind always goes back to when Mel tells Jayce and Viktor that they should take their own counter-measures. We all assume at the time that she means they should make weapons, but after that episode she says multiple times that she wants to protect the city and she actively speaks against war. We see with both Jayce's hammer and the gloves that they've figured out shielding capabilities. I'm curious if there's some type of Hextech device shielding the council room. Can't wait for Season 2! Would love to see you guys react to the 'making of' videos.

The season 2 is in the making but they are taking their time to write and produce it. It's said that three or four episodes have already been completed. We think the release of second season will be early/mid 2024 Also, if you go back to the ending, you'll notice some easter eggs and hints to what will happen in the next season, as well as some important key characters. This is not spoiler since we don't know anything yet, but from the knowledge I have as a League of Legends player, this is my guess of who will be in season 2: -So we know that the Council has been blasted, but we don't know who died and who is alive. As Viktor and Jayce are characters in the main game, my guess (and hope) is that they survived. There is also way more to Viktor's lore so looking forward to what's next. -Obviously we have Jinx who made her choice. -We have Sevika who lost her arm but is still alive. -Caitlyn might've lost her mother, which means she might feel some type of way towards Vi, who's the sister of who killed/injured her mom. -Vi will probably feel lost but want to stop her sister. Pair up with Caitlyn once again. Hopefully straightening their bond and maybe romance? -We have a shot of Ekko and Heimerdinger in the Firelight's leir, representing Zaun and Piltover coming together, probably working on new technology. -We have Singed, (Silco's mad scientist, sort of) looking up at one of his creation. If you haven't played the game, you might not know who it is, but by the shape shown, the claws, the fur, we can guess who it is; Warwick. Who's a great character. His lore is fascinating. Now this is what we have but I believe they will introduce more characters from the game, as there are many from Zaun and Piltover that haven't made an appearance. ZAUN (undercity): Blitzcrank, Dr.Mundo, Janna, Renata Glasc, Twitch, Urgot, Zac, Ziggs, Zeri and lastly Warwick*** who we know for sure will at least make an appearance or be mentioned. PILTOVER: Ezreal, Orianna, Seraphine and Camille...Omg I hope Camille makes it into the season 2, she's so cool. And yeah, the characters in League of Legends have somewhat of a lore but players don't know about it unless they go out of their way and read specifically about it. There might be hints of who the characters know based on their voice lines in game when interacting with the characters in question, but they are very simple and don't spoil anything. They are often a taunting line like ''Can't outrun your mistakes" or like "I remember what you did", etc. I can't wait to see what's next. The wait is killing me, this show is just SO good! Great reaction once again!

The game is a competitive battle arena, it is not a story game like the last of us. There is lore to the game characters, just not the game, however its a baseline for alot of stories. The last years they have build all kinds of events and have build a world around all the 150+ characters (Arcane only has like 1% of the characters of the game). The game is huge and has a whole esports, if you watch the cinematics and maybe some of the world openings you will see how huge the fanbase of the game is. People play it for the competitivity and not really for the story. They lately use the backstories of characters and the world to tell stories through serie/cinematics and other games, they are currently also making RPGs (Roleplaying games) to branch out and are busy making a MMORPG (a massive online roleplaying game) that have/will be more story and lore based games. Maybe more series and movies about other factions and characters will be made. Think of piltover/zaun as only 1 small part of the world, the world is huge and the characters are very diverse. Ambessa for example is part of Noxus (huge other country). Each faction has their own struggles, stories and characters like piltover and zaun. Note: its maybe smart to not lookup to much into the arcane characters or you might be spoiled for future seasons of arcane. However alot of reactors have looked into the cinematics and are not really a spoiler but a fun watch.

And “they” refers to the writers of both the lore and the show. Which in this case is one and the same. (Noting there are more than just these writers who write lore)

c'mon the game is not garbage hahaha The trouble is that is a very different type of game. Not something people can easly get into you have to study it and actually learn how to play it. There isn't any story, the lore is just information about the characters background and their habilities. So a lot of Arcane fans get disapponited when they play it. Also the thing is that is team game, so you need to work with four other people to win. There are a lot of big egos and straight up unhinged people playing, which results in A LOT of head bumping. So you'll see that it has earned the reputation of having a very toxic community. (which sadly is true) However they have been making a lot of story content like comics, books, series, cinematics, other videogames. That tell the story of 163 awsome characters. So the world is amazing.

That's not entirely true, the world building and lore go pretty hard in supplementary material, such as stories and comics, not to mention all the other games set in that universe. You wouldn't know it if you only played LoL, though.

And remember the game has no actual story to it. So it makes it even more impressive they wrote this. They created stories for characters that otherwise have none. It’s like creating a story for fake fifa or madden players.

I love how much you guys have loved this show. We’ve been waiting for almost 2 years should be 2024. The game is one of the most popular (top 3) competitive games in the world. But it’s one of the most toxic environments you can play in. That’s why most people hate it. But it has millions of players and the top professional players have million dollar contracts to play the game competitively.
