Added 2023-06-16 03:58:46 +0000 UTCIt was truly thrilling to have more of The Walking Dead. However, this time we embark on a journey with Negan and Maggie, and the first episode sets a strong tone. The storytelling remained focused and tight, although we did have a few minor criticisms that didn't detract from our overall enjoyment. The episode featured fantastic flashbacks and cleverly placed Easter eggs. The tension was done well, leaving us eagerly anticipating episode 2.

For half of this its best to have a little bit of the back story so you understand the motivations for Maggie and Negan. But you can always watch this and go back to watch the main show. If you get the time, it's pretty good.

2023-06-16 18:23:59 +0000 UTCI thought this was a great opening. It really felt like good old classic TWD with walkers being a threat and loved the new things like cockroaches and the mouse. I also definitely could see Maggie being mad at Negan again because Negan essentially helped make this guy who took Hershel. He has bits of Negan to him. Excited for the rest!
