EARLY ACCESS: Invincible 1x8 Finale FULL REACTION

The eighth episode of Invincible serves as a visually unsettling yet thematically impactful season finale. Its climactic battle evokes harrowing imagery reminiscent of real-world disasters, immersing viewers in the experience of living through such catastrophic events and exploring the aftermath that follows. This stunning and emotionally resonant conclusion brings together the various threads of an uneven season, leaving a lasting impression. What a finish to an absolute fantastic season.

Fantastic voice acting from its talented ensemble cast. Steven Yeun delivers a nuanced performance as Mark Grayson, capturing the character's growth, vulnerability, and determination. J.K. Simmons brings gravitas and complexity to the role of Omni-Man, while the rest of the cast, including Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, and Walton Goggins, provide equally stellar performances that breathe life into their respective characters as well as the rest of the cast and shout out to the crew as well.

Can't WAIT for season 2!!!!

Maybe season 2?

Badd Medicine

If I'm not mistaken, in the comics Cat villain has taken out a good amount of Viltrumites. I'm interested to see if they use him in the show.

Anthony Billinger

So excited!!!

Fair🤜🤛🤘

Oh man this was so much fun to watch with you guys and cant wait for season 2. One thing i would disagree on was answers criticism of man of steel saying supes only cared about the three people at the end. It was his first day as supes (he does save more people than just the three), zod was throwing him around like a sack of potatos and are we just going to forget zod was literally teraforming the world with the world engine.

Dillon

On the list🤙🤙🤙

The Boys should've stopped at season 1, turned into nothing.

The Ruptards

The subway scene was 100x worse than anything in the boys lmao

Ben Book

If you guys think the Subway scene was bad. Watch The Boys I’m honestly surprised non of u guys have seen it. If you like Invincible I’d bet my life savings you’ll love the Boys.

TinCan Cosmanaut

you guys should watch vox machina

Shamar Carrington

Hoping "The Boys" is next

Eric Wallace

"I'll still have you" always makes me tear up, such a powerful scene. Also, this finale was the most brutal thing I've ever seen even compared to Glenn's death. Hoping we get some sort of redemption from Omni-Man down the road. Loved watching with you guys!

Ivan Rasmussen

the trailer for season 2 is out, you should check it out

john crosby

That scene where Mark says I'll have you dad. Always gets me 🥺 and I think I'm the only one who is team Amber 😩😂

Ana

That pet comment hurt me to my core like he said it to me lol

Dee

Omni man saying his wife is more like a pet and he saying to Mark he could make another son is hard… such a incredible finale. Second best thing Amazon Prime produced, just behind The Boys

Stefano Rafael

The thing that i like in this episode is that almost everything Omni-Man says he's saying too himself more so than Mark. The subtleties in the animation are great at showing how he isn't necessarily on board with what he's telling Mark. They've shown it from Episode 1 when he's not exactly thrilled regarding the fact Mark finally got his powers and him saying their lives would be easier if he hadn't gotten them at all, because the powers were what told him I have to kill the Guardians and get ready for the empire. He didn't want to do that with Mark and Debbie alive, because he does love them. Yes he said the pet thing and it's messed up, but too live as long as he does a human life is probably the equivalent of a dog's life to us. It's a interesting perspective tbh.

Jam

Yeah, Mark telling his dad that he'll still have him after 500 years always hits me like a truck. He reminded Omni-man of the humanity that had been growing in him that he was trying to suppress. I like that ultimately it wasn't strength or superpowers or anything like that that defeated Omni-man, but rather it was appealing to his humanity. That moment when he looks at his hands and finally realizes all the evil that he did in the name of his government/people is my favorite moment of the show so far.

Marco Gutierrez

The line by Mark after Omni-Man basically beat him to death always hits hard. That's when we saw a glimpse of humanity in Omni-Man. He realized how strong his son his and has become Also, we got to see through all of those episodes that Mark's strength is not that he's the best in speed or other abilities, it is that, through his sheer will, he can withstand anything that being thrown at him, even the most powerful being on earth pounding him to death His name is definitely fitting haha

L AH

That was pretty intense.

Badd Medicine

that subway scene goes on for so long

Zen Reacts

Now yall gotta do The Boys🥲

Marquis keel

That line had some power to it

Badd Medicine

'What will you have after 500 years?!?' 'You, Dad. I'd still have you' I remember reading that line in the comics years ago and being utterly devastated. I've got a complicated relationship with my dad, but I still love him, so those words hit really hard for me. I immediately binge-read the rest of the series in a weekend, and it's probably my favorite comic series ever. Been awesome following this journey with y'all, can't wait for Season 2 and beyond. Super pumped for Arcane next, an equally amazing and gripping show
