EARLY ACCESS: Antman and the Wasp Quantumania FULL REACTION

It ended up being better than I thought, it felt like it had a rough start and I'm not sure if that's just me. At the first end credit scene where they were at the party the purple balloons in the background, not sure if I'm reaching, but it felt like a symbol that Kang is always there. Guess mine and one of your guys' predictions that this was one of many Kangs was a good idea to keep thinking about. I agree with the average of the scores, 3.6/5. not bad but not extremely good either.

1hr and 4min in, and it's getting somewhere, when Kang said that he wants to prevent the inevitable which he said was himself, made me curious... I don't read the comics or anything but what if this kang is good, and his severity is due to his desperation to get out and stop himself... like literally a bad Kang, and the memories the mother saw were of all the other Kangs... 🤔

I haven't seen any of the ant-man films, so far this is like a C-grade 40 minutes in. Maybe a B(minus)... we will see.

I was not expecting Bill Murray! The movie he is in, Osmosis Jones is an amazing movie!!

Yeah I thought this movie was ok. I honestly wish the whole movie was just around Kang and we didn't have the first half with the weird creature people. I just didn't care for them at all. I also don't love movies that are all CG and this was very heavy on that. I think Kang was great and this movie was half and half for me.

I enjoyed watching it with y'all! My fiancé refuses to watch it, if he hears a Marvel movie is bad he just skips it and he already doesn't like movie Ant-Man, so he was not trying to watch it with me lol. But I laughed a lot, I like the humor in their movies lol. I don't read the comics so don't have expectations either way but I thought the film looked beautiful and thought all the creatures looked cool.

I may be in the minority - I enjoyed it. Agree - Not the best but definitely not the worst and just above mid card for me. I have epilepsy and can't see movies like this with the effects at the cinema, hence I waited and I'm glad I did lol. I'm not an avid comic book person either, my main knowledge there is the X-Men and some of Spiderman, but? I thought Kang looked cool either way. He was a good antagonist. RDJ did hint at a return possibility....So the multiverse is going to be an interesting exploration! Also, the way I see it with the ants? They'll be able to find Hank wherever he goes, they've got the tech to do so...I did miss the three amigos however. Dave, Kurt and especially a Luis cameo - he def could have told the story at the start better! Perhaps that's why a bit of the magic was missing? They're 3 popular characters for good reason imo. 3.85 out of 5 for me. (Def watch Loki please, its such a good series)

In case Mason hasn't looked, the actor that plays Jentorra was in Walking Dead 2017-2018 as Katy. I find it interesting she were also in the last season of Agents of SHIELD as Kimball.

I thought this movie was fine (would probably give it around a 3.5 rating if I had to). I wouldn’t choose to watch this one again, and I wouldn’t really be excited to watch it if friends/family wanted to. The exception would be if any reaction channels that I watch was going to watch it, then I might give in and see it again. I do love watching reaction channels, even to mediocre movies. So generally what I miss from movies like these are the connection I get to the characters. In this one I really didn’t feel any emotional connection to any of them and so I didn’t care when any of them got hurt. This movie is a little too comedic for me (I usually am not a huge fan of comedy movies either so that has an impact). I understand that it’s kinda Ant-Mans vibe to be funny, but personally I think you can be funny AND have other personality traits showing. It just takes away from the seriousness for me when they keep joking around when Kang is amassing a terrible army and conquered so many of the ppl in the quantum realm. Another thing I found difficult was the constant introduction to new things as well as fight scene after fight scene. It kind of goes hand in hand with me feeling no connection to these old characters or the new, because we didn’t get any time to feel anything since there was no downtime. I watched about 3/4ths of the movie yesterday and on my own I barely laughed at the jokes, and I kept getting distracted from it, and I ended the movie with 30 min left because I honestly wasn’t pulled into the final battle enough. Today I found the jokes a little more enjoyable because you guys laughed at them and the whole movie felt more digestible. So I do think there’s something to watching it with others. It makes it easier for me to keep my attention fixed (I have ADHD so I struggle with it). So yea, those were some of my issues with it. But Ant-Man is really low on the list of characters I enjoy, so it’s quite natural that I won’t enjoy this movie as much as some others in the Marvel universe. But there’s several examples of movies where acting performances heighten a characters likability, so I can’t give that too much weight. But yea, it was an ok movie all in all. Glad I’ve now seen it, but won’t enjoy having to watch it again.
