EARLY ACCESS: Godzilla vs Kong FULL REACTION

Godzilla vs Kong the epci showdown between two of the most iconic monsters in cinematic history. The special effects are pretty darn good, with both monsters looking incredibly realistic and menacing. The fight scenes are absolutely incredible, with both monsters using their unique abilities to try and gain the upper hand. The final battle in Hong Kong is particularly impressive, with skyscrapers being used as weapons and explosions happening left and right. Shout out to the cast and crew.

The plot of the movie is fairly simple, but it's enough to keep you engaged throughout. There are some twists and turns along the way, as the humans try to figure out why Godzilla is attacking, and how to stop him. The human characters are well-developed, with each of them having their own motivations and agendas.

Overall, Godzilla vs Kong is a fun monster movie that delivers a thrilling showdown between two of the most iconic creatures in film history. Whether you're a fan of Godzilla or Kong, or just enjoy seeing giant monsters destroy things, this movie is definitely worth checking out.

Can't imagine what the next one is going to be like

This was my absolute favorite of the movies. I felt the plot was weak, but I wouldn't really watch these movies for the plot or the human characters. Seeing the battles between Kong and Godzilla was just an absolute blast, but seeing the team up between them was everything I could have asked for. This is what we want from monster movies.

I just realized that this year I will have been driving for 30 years. I graduated college in 1999. I still wouldn’t trade being a kid and teen in the 80s and 90s though. Toys and snacks and clothes just hit different back then. And no greater video game then “you’ve died of dysentery” Oregon Trail. 😆

I know I'm getting old. When I was a kid, my favorite show (up until The Simpsons came out) was The Wonder Years (I was 8 when it first aired and it just spoke to me). That show came out in 1988 and was set in the late '60s/early '70s. Which means it was a decade closer to its subject matter than we are to that show actually being on the air. And that makes me feel SO OLD. For comparison: the first season was set in 1968, so 20 years before it aired. This year marks 20 years since I graduated from college. That puts things into serious perspective for me.

I lose my shit when they won't set Kong free on the boat! Man is so mean to him, all of a sudden I'm 6 again crying at King Kong getting shot at on the building lolololol.

Carrie Petty

Hope this brought a little joy to your day and yes, MI films are on the list 🤘🤘🤘

Also The Oak talking about distorted timeframe as we get older. Excuse me, but 1990 was ten years ago! If they remade Back to the Future, Marty would be going back to 1993. Am I…am I getting old??? 😐🥴

Erena V

You guys kill me….all the middle earth/LOTR references 😂😂 for the first part, you’ve got Mason and Answer chuckling and looking at each other’s reactions while Oak was glued to the screen. I was waiting for Oak to say “this is not good” “this is no bueno”, don’t let me down next time! 🤣 what a fun watch along!

Erena V

I have not seen the other movies, but man this one was pretty good, might have to go look at the others.

romaiiiii

Had a really long shitty day and this was a great way to wind down my night. Also, mission impossibles have to hit the list! Also, i don't know if you guys caught it the axe when he found it was embedded in a godzilla skull, not skull crusher skull and there were axes in the ground from past dead godzillas. On a personal note, This was one of the first movies that came out in theaters during covid and man, 70 foot screen made this thing pop

Eric Wallace

That is on the list 😁🤘

Badd Medicine

Hell yeah can't wait 😁

Glad you watched with us

Next week we dive into Avatar 🤘 scream starts at the end of the month.

Badd Medicine

Great question, I don't think so. We can add that to the list. 🤙

Badd Medicine

Those films are on the list🤘

Pacific Rim in the near future?

Cameron Trail

Can’t wait to watch this along with you! Waiting for the weekend so I can devote uninterrupted time to it. Random question, have you ever watched or reacted to The Last of the Mohicans starring Daniel Day Lewis?

Erena V

Imo the plot got really messy which would explain why this movie had 3 writers. Pacific rim is the perfect example of how a monster movie can have a good plot and amazing fight scenes. All the fight scenes in this were pretty good though, and I also found the hong kong neon fight was very similar to the hong kong fight in pacific rim. Nevertheless always fun watching with the boys 🤙. Hopefully scream movie next week 🤞

Dillon

Fun franchise! Only ever saw the first one, so this was great to experience right along with y’all 😄

I love King Kong… and always feel sorry for him because he falls into the hands of man! When this first came out it was billed as a fight so there was a team Godzilla and a team Kong…they said a king couldn’t beat a god. Folk all said that Godzilla won the battleship fight…I disagreed because Kong was on tranquilizers and stayed chained up at the beginning which no one seemed to think was unfair. I was really excited to watch with you but I KNEW you guys weren’t into because you did a lot of talking and looking at each other throughout the movie…when you’re into something you discuss different points about the actual story and not the visuals. Y’all seemed to be searching for someway to review in a non offensive way. I was a little disappointed in the reaction because I thought the Oak would bring out the points about Kings treatment since he’s the moral of the story guy…even Quinn was aloof. I know to each his own…but I thought you guys would really enjoy it…well, you win some and you lose some. Looking forward to watching John Wick 4…I’m hoping you REDO JW 1-3 leading up to the new one…you only have the YT version up on YT and none on Patreon except one of the trailers. Hope you guys will at least think about THE EXPANSE on Prime and DEADWOOD, the series on HBO…you will not be disappointed.

also if you want more awesome giant kaiju action, definitely recommend Pacific Rim. The first one was so good, Giant Robots fighting Kaijus is all I needed and it delivered. the 2nd one was meh, since they took it from Del Toro and had someone else do it, so it just didn't have the magic that Del Toro brings.

The only thing I didn't care for, to me the plot was a bit weak imo, it had the same feel as the 2&3 antman films where its only purpose was to serve enough plot to have a reason for the film (for antman, felt like it was solely made just to introduce two concepts needed in the mcu, so the plots are largely forgettable) besides Jia and Madison, the other human characters were meh to me, People wanted a Kong vs Godzilla, so we needed something that would force them together, with the introduction of MechaGodzilla, which there is actually different variations of him, with one generation of MG being powered by King Ghidora remnants, other times its aliens, humans, or something else that keeps rebuilding him. Despite the weak plot though, the action sequences were awesome. and the MechaGodzilla was kinda secret, no one knew but people had suspicions because of the trailer there was one shot that people were dissecting wondering if we were actually getting a MechaGodzilla, which we did. Also, the pilot Ren, if you didn't catch, was actually Serizawas son.

Loved the Lotr references throught the movie! And yes, would definitely love a National Treasure watch from you guys even if one/some of you have seen it! These monster movies weren't really my vibe, to me they're pretty much mediocre. It was my first time watching them cause I saw you guys reacting to them and I just love watching stuff with you guys. So even if the movie might be mediocre, it's always fun to watch your reactions and hear your thoughts! So thanks for entertaining once again!

JiaHailstorm

BEEN PATIENTLY WAITING FOR THIS ONE

Dillon

This was actually better than I remember, watching it a second time.

Ron Banks

Monsterverse Backlash* Lets GOOOOOO!!!

Cojuancidence

Watching the Monsterverse with you guys so far has been great! Can't wait to get done with work and give it a watch! If you guys do want to continue the Kaiju (giant monsters) I'd reccomend checking out the first Pacific Rim movie! There's a second one that's not as good but you could give it a shot! The first one is by Guillermo Del Toro and has Idris Alba, Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day, and Ron Perlman in it!

Shane Kolaga

Cannot wait to get home and watch this! Let. Them. Fight.

S. Goose

Let's goooooo! 🤣🤣🤣🤜🤛

Badd Medicine

Been refreshing every half hour waiting, excited to watch you guys react to this.
