This mod brings out the lost essence of the beta version, significantly enhancing the visual quality of The Sims 3. With this mod, your game will become brighter and more beautiful, with improved lighting that adds depth and character to environments. Shadows will be more defined, colors more vibrant, and the overall realism enhanced, making you feel even more immersed in the game.

I know some of you were interested in a slightly more let's say... bright/cheerful version of my Sims 3 Beta lighting mod. It's not exactly the look I was aiming for, but when we are building and creating mods for a community, it's important to take into account what people want as well.
That's why I created a V2 version of my mod, specifically to meet the needs of those who seek and admire this feature in TS3. What this version does is brighten your game even more and keep the colors vibrant. I hope this pleases and meets the requests some of you had. A special thanks to Annalise, whose suggestions helped me shape this new version. (You can see more gifs here)
To install, simply extract it into your Packages folder. Important Note: This mod is NOT COMPATIBLE with any other lighting mods that alter the color ramps of the sky, shadows, water, or the shape/rays of the sun.

It's not my style, but I get it. It was challenging to adjust the water color to match the beta version of the game because it changes with the sky and horizon throughout the day. In the morning, the water might look grayish due to the purple sky, but after 8 AM, it starts to look bluer. I understand your request, but I believe fulfilling it would compromise the original idea of recreating the less saturated, more contrasting atmosphere of the TS3 beta. Many people ask about combining my mod with others for a more "cheerful" tone, but I'm trying to avoid the over-saturation seen in TS4 xD Our mod brings a denser, more varied sky with clouds and different shades of blue (So, what you call gray, I call clouds Hahah) I'd love for you to try seeing the water color from this new perspective and give me your feedback. If it's still not enough, that's okay, I'll understand. But I'd love to know more about your view after reevaluating. Remember, the color will vary based on the angle and the sun's position, just like in real life. I know this might be a long response and not exactly what you'd like to hear, such as "I'll change it right away," but I hope you understand my point. That said, I'm not opposed to changes, but certain ones could completely compromise the purpose of the mod.
