EARLY ACCESS: The Menu FULL REACTION

Yes, Chef! Wowzers..... this movie delivers, in the most unexpected of ways. We didn't really know what we were getting into for the most part. It did have a good amount of comedy and good suspense. The characters were very interesting. Wide range. The Cast was awesome. The location for this was pretty cool. But we did have one grip.... you'll see in the review. Overall it was an entertaining film.

Oak's outburst at the pretentious people was the BEST lmao Absolutely loved this reaction, everyone brought some good points about the movie, and now I even appreciate it more than before. Time spend well!

I recently noticed the silver play button in the background of a video. I was shocked I missed the announcement of y'all receiving it so I went back through the posts. It looks like this is the first video with it in the background but did not announce when you got it. I saw the announcement in Jan about hitting the 100,000 subscriber milestone. I just wanted to say congrats! It looks great in the background and y'all deserve it.

I think Chef was very angry and not just at the customers but at himself and who he became after the fame. You saw him let a cook stab him because he repeatedly made unwanted advances toward her. I think thats the main reason he took himself out as well. It wasnt just the loss of his art - it was the loss of himself while pursuing his art.

Second this!

My opinion about Dave's question is pretty much in line with Oak's, that Chef had 'regressed' back to when he enjoyed providing food and service. For a burger cook - customers taking your food is a compliment.

I didn't likethis movie in the first third because I didn't get it .. but then something happened (I think the foot race?) and it clicked, I started really enjoying the absurdity and dark humor of it all. ... But what happened to chef's momma, did she get toasty too?

Good call out.

The faces Mason and Oak make on the thumbnail.. I've seen those faces before.. it's usually the face people make when they roll out the strawberry/chocolate fountain.

I think that Slowik was basically mad at of the guests, because they are the reason why the restaurant industry became so pretentious, which basically destroyed his passion for cooking. Like the foodies spend so much money for restaurants, but at the same time it makes the whole experience too elite, so that more simple people (like Anya Taylor-Joy's character) feel uncomfortable and have no appetite for such things. that's why he allowed Margot to leave. She ordered something so usual and simple, and also payed for it with a crumpled 10 dollars note, while the other guests just took out a bunch of credit cards.

Great Reaction; Thank You!🌷

I really love to cook for friends and family and I find them asking for some to-go as a big compliment. Most (but not all) dishes do not taste better reheated but if they liked it enough to want to reheat and eat it later, it must taste pretty darn good. I would think most fancy rich people that do not finish their meals at fancy restaurants do not ask for to-go leftovers. While I do not think chief was pleased, I do not think he was offended. He did let her go which I don't think he would have if she didn't ask for it to-go.

I saw this movie earlier this week and loved it! I will say, being familiar with Nick Hoult from his time on Skins, his American accent is still very jarring for me and only made his character that more unbearable lol. I think part of the reason the people at the end sort of accepted their fate, is due to being essentially psychologically tortured for hours and hours. At that point, they must have known there was no way out and probably just wanted it all to end. To Quinn's point at the end, this in a loose way reminds me of a much more sinister and less comedic version of the movie clue, which is a fantastic watch if you have not seen it! P.S., I think Ralph Fiennes is pronounced like Rayff Fines. Not sure why there is an L in his name lol

I laughed so loud at Answer's reaction to Oak's rating, I scared my dog which made me laugh harder. Lol

Loved the reaction. Just rewatched it lol let me start by saying "Love & Basketball" 🏀 🤣 I enjoyed the reaction and that yall caught the tone and meaning of a lot of the movie. Great job. 👍 This movie spoke to the inner chef I use to be (Went to culinary school) The Tyler's Bullshit scene had me almost emotional.

Oh WOW! Okay, this is such a good surprise of a movie! In a sense I think personally, it was a dig at the over the top chefs that have forgotten what real food is these days, and? How the food has become a macabre art, rather than just enjoying it like people used to. That's my take on it anyway. And? If you appreciate good food, like Margo? You're a good person. Or a person that had made the wrong choice, but could be saved and changed. The others all were liars and cheaters and would never be able to change. Forgetting the good in life, all leaning towards the bad and superficial, just like the superficial food was. (I could be wrong of course) Very correct though. They just accepted their fate. Margo/Erin fought, they didn't. I loved this movie. So glad I watched it with you guys! Now however I could really eat a damn good burger lol The woman who had the arm burns, cheating husband? She was in Ugly Betty too, one of my fav ever shows. She's such a good actress. The whole cast were so good as well imo agree with everything you guys said!

With regards to the pricing, while you're probably right in that the price is much higher, one possible explanation is that they did say $1250 a *plate*. Presumably that means per course, and there's normally a half dozen courses at least, which puts the price at around 10k per person. Just playing devil's advocate in this regard even though you guys are probably right. I'm 100% with Oak on this one. People should be free to enjoy things as they want, no denying that, but to me people that behave like this or that identify as foodies are just trying to gatekeep food. I went into this movie thinking it was going to be a normal cooking movie like Burnt, so when I saw the staff's demeanor I could tell they were just tired of people's pretentious attitudes towards food. They eat food as a status symbol and not because they truly enjoy it. At the end of the day, artists do what they do because they want to make people happy. When you start analyzing and picking things apart, you remove that magic. I'm not saying I'd ever throw a murder party like Ralph did, but I definitely get the message lol.

If yall haven't seen the nice guys I highly recommend!

I really loved it. It’s great to see interesting and original movies with amazing actors and great cinematography. I originally thought that it was going to be centered around cannibalism so I was pleasantly surprised. The movie never took itself seriously while simultaneously giving us an entertaining time. It’s refreshing to see movies like that, just allowing a bat shit crazy idea to be bat shit crazy 👏🏽 I think that no one tried to run because they’re not used to fight for themselves. It has been highlighted pretty well all throughout the movie. The only person who really tried was Erin because she’s used to it (as highlighted by chef during their conversation, she's used to provide services and deal with shitty customers). All the other were privileged assholes. That’s my take on it In the same vein, you guys should watch Barbarian !!

L AH

All good! We appreciate your opinion on this. This movie feels like one of those either you'll like it or not.

I know I'm probably in the minority here but I didn't like this movie at all. Great cast but the movie didn't hold my attention. Maybe I'll try again down the road sometime.

In the middle of this watch along right now, if you love this girl you should definitely check out the show The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix. I’m not interested in Chess but the show was great!
