This one was a bit more serious. Nice big wedding. Very cool location spots for the honeymoon. We still get some awkward moments and at least we still had a few lines with some extra cheese. I'll leave the rest of this for the movie review lol :) Oak also clarifies come comments as well.

Looking forward to chatting with you all on this one in the comments.

I mean if you’re a vampire you’re young and hot for eternity so why not 😂 I don’t blame her

Mariee Che

I'm laughing so hard that Quinn is so convinced she doesn't want to become a vampire. She doesn't have cold feet, it's the thing she wants the most. She's just a very awkward person and hates attention ;) She's extremely anxious, always :) And you guys giggling like awkward teens throughout the honeymoon lolll guys are guys! no matter the age ;) I must admit though that a girl's first time is very stressful, and I think that many teenage girls can relate to her jitters ;) That was probably the most realistic part of the movie! When Edward says that he would kill the baby if Bella were to die, it was better explained in the books, but Edward REALLY believes it's a real monster that just wants to eat Bella and kill her, because that's what legends say. And when Edward says that he's like Bella, he doesn't mean that it's human, he means it's not a monster (he considers himself a monster). Bella and Edward both have very, very low opinions of themselves, and it's a recurring theme in the series. They only love themselves through the eyes of each other. I know I'm very late in commenting lolll don't care, it's a fun ride :) I think the first one and the last one are the "best" two movies of the franchise. Can't wait to see your reaction.

KarySky

#teamCharlie and #teamCarlisle - Am in love with both of these men. Ok, can't wait to see your reaction to the sex scene. Oh man, this will be so cringy !

KarySky

The point of marriage varies across time and cultures, but at it's foundation it is simply a partnership. The idea that you *should* get started as early as possible is ridiculous on its face and isn't integral to marriage at all. This is simply your personal take. The reality is that people are generally still kids at age 18 and are markedly different individuals at that age than they are even just a few years later in their mid-20s, and certainly are radically different later on. There's nothing WRONG per se with getting married when you are still that young, but you ARE more likely to get divorced when you marry young, because you ARE a lot more inexperienced and immature, and you ARE less likely to be able to sustain a long-term relationship. There IS research on that. All the rest of your comments are just babble about "kids these days" and nonsense about how the world was better in some mythical golden age that is demonstrably false.

Amy Petty

If viewers are laughing at a movie that isn't intended to be a comedy, the problem lies with the movie, not the audience. And what is "I would like to at least enjoy it" supposed to mean? You're watching these videos for their reaction *to* a movie, not for the movie itself. What exactly are you scolding them for?

Amy Petty

This is not meant to be a comedy. It's about Vampires, Wolves, etc. It's supposed to get dark. I think you guys will like Part 2. You don't have to be so negative throughout the movie. I would like to at least enjoy it.

Patricia Grant

When they entered to their honeymoon house, Answer: Ugh this is gonna get weird.... LOLOLOL

Sangria D.

I was team charlie and team emmett from the beginning. Hot dad and hot, hilarious meathead.. my types. Hahhah

Melanie P

Another great reaction. I think everyone in the theater was perplexed when the wolfs were "mind talking". In the book it was described much better. You guys took the "Imprinting" very well. There was cgi on Kristen and there was also a Kristen dummy doll. This series is not for kids. This is a love story, but it is not a romcom. There are vamps/shape shifters/ folklore told in a way that isn't the same old cookie cutter vamp/ werewolf fashion. I'm sorry you didn't like it.

Shirlene Wright

i just joined the patreon today after watching your eclipse reaction on yt and just couldn’t wait for the next part. i can’t believe you guys predicted so much (the whole edward jacob thing!) but also i’m glad that you guys enjoyed it despite it not being the strongest one of the saga. can’t wait to see you guys watch the next one cause i know you’ll love it more than the others! there’s action and all kinds of drama and some pretty funny stuff!! sewer rat out🐀

Daya Green

"uncle jacob" NOOOOOO LOL

Lani Meneses

fun fact! stephanie meyer, the author of the books, is mormon! which is why she made edward more traditional when it came to his relationship with bella (waiting till marriage, valuing marriage, etc) she was definitely team edward LOL

Lani Meneses

I think in terms of Bella looking different in this time around is because Kristen lost a lot of weight for this movie and her face looks a lot more hallow. I need to fact check to be sure but I heard that from a friend

Masha

Wednesday!

KB

You guys need to react to La Vita e Bella ( life is beautiful)

Yadira Ellis

When does part 2 get posted I can’t wait lol

ariel mermaid

This series has the best dads! Charlie, Carlisle, and Billy Black are all my favorites :)

KB

So there is a very small foot note in the books that explains that the Natives are shapeshifters, and their prefered form is a wolf. Not actual werewolves, however, the movies just gloss right over that. I agree to Edward's proclimation of hating the baby should Bella die being horrible, that being said at that time they were still in uncharted waters not knowing what she was going to give birth to. In his mind the baby was a monster that was ultimately going to cost her her life. And yes, looking at the mian reltionships in these stories, they are toxic. The books and the movies are unfortunately a guilty pleasure for me, but I have LOVED watching you all react to it, everytime Oak yells "What am I watching?" it is magic in the forest lol! Can't wait to watch the next one.

Rachel Saunders

going forward i think you guys should look at bella through a more empathetic view. and the soundtrack is meant to evoke EMOTION. Let yourselves feel it boys. great reaction as always!

Keely Jennings

I came back for twilight 😂 absolute pathetic behaviour but I’m fine with it

Aimee

As someone who rewatched those movies and read the books I can help with the the things that confused you, Jacob imprinted on Renesemee and it’s a “romantic”thing according to the books but I don’t believe it’s Romantic if the other person is not feeling it and I wonder what happens if there are cases like that, anyway but he only loves her romantically when the baby grows up to be an adult, if a wolf imprinted on a baby he will be anything she needs , a friend a brother and a protector until she grows up then it’ll transition to romantic love which you’ll see in part2, also Edward injected his venom into her heart because vampire venom is what turns humans and he was desperate not to be too late and injecting it through the heart and pumping it by CPR will get it spread faster than just biting her, he wasn’t able to see that it was working because the morphine he injected her with earlier had the effect of paralyzing her and although she was in Agony, on the outside she was appearing to be perfectly still, and the baby is half human half vampire , she can survive on either blood or human food.

Gotta say, I watched these movies a few years ago. I was not the target demographic for these films as they came out, so I watched them with my gf. Half of the reason was to watch it for my gf, the other half was pure curiosity to see if these films were so bad. Honestly, they aren't terrible. The second movie was the worst for me. The first one was confusing, but the second was just boring and I think that's the worst you can do with a film. Make it bad, make it confusing, but don't make it boring. This one however, is just depressing. 5th one is a bit better imo. We'll see what you guys think.

JMac

😂😂😂😂😂

Badd Medicine

I was laughing so hard cause I thought you guys were completely silent during the last 15 mins of the movie, just stunned. (I have seen it before with my gf, so I knew what was coming) but turns out I accidentally muted the vid whilst going to get a sandwich 🥪 😅 🤣

JMac

I hope there’s more hissing from Oak (and everyone) 🤣 that part killed me too

rachele

Oh ... Sorry... It will be the 11th 😬

Badd Medicine

Btw when I was a teenager my parents didn’t let me read the third book because they thought the birth scene was too graphic 😂

Grace

This was the best reaction yet 😂😂 also Netflix takes down breaking dawn pt 2 on January 8th so fingers crossed yours comes out by then but no worries if not because I have the dvds

Grace

🤣🤣🤣🤟🤟

Badd Medicine

yeah, they mentioned it in their Twilight reaction

Christine L.

Cant wait for you guys to watch the last movie, without a doubt the best one. One thing I have to add is Jacob imprinting on Renessme. Since Jacob brought it up in New Moon, it’s been talked about in a romantic way and it was basically the same in the books. A very intimate romantic thing especially since you see in the movies every example of a wolf imprinting on someone, they’re in a relationship. For plot armour, last minute just so it wouldn’t be seen as weird or inappropriate the movie decided to word it differently and instead it’s more of a “protective love”. That’s why a lot of people officially went to team Edward because of this, it’s just weird and the fact that he saw a romantic future with this currently a baby said a lot. Oh and to clear up Oaks confusion, the baby is mixed with the same genetics as a regular baby would, so because of that she’s half human half vampire, which is why she needed the blood for sustenance!

Cartulize Charles

I simply could not deal with Oak during this whole reaction. The shirt, the pale face, how invested he was. He had me so weak 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

"it’s exclusively native men turning into literal animals and being portrayed as aggressive and violent." - simply not true and a racist slander towards these characters. 1. Literally book one, before we had any "werewolves", they were shown as nice people, with prejudice only against vampires. Jacob's father even shown direct concern about Bella's involvement with vampires. Meanwhile, 2. first vampires that we see outside the main family - James, Victoria, Laurent, are described as "I could see how different they were from the Cullens. Their walk was catlike, a gait that seemed constantly on the edge of shifting into a crouch" All 3 tried to kill Bella at different moments of the story and has shown a lot of violence. 3. All of the vampires are shown to have animal like behaviour at times, they even compared each other to ones in the very first book. 4. On opposite, "werewolves" and their ancestors are shown to be peaceful and never to use their supernatural powers to gain lands or other advantages.

Саша Одинец

Whichever description author gave in her expanded lore, the one you gave is simply incorrect, even by the Wikipedia, which does mention different tones of the skin that vampires have, they don't go "can't be anything other than white", even though transformation does affect pigmentation to extent. Still, the Wikipedia you mentioned does puts "They owe their unnatural pale complexion to their lack of blood flow" first before any of these details as main reason. Same goes for the description you gave about sins - that's still nonsense, Wikipedia or not, given that transformation makes people into bloodthirsty monsters - it cannot be associated with washing away of the sins. Especially given that newborns are usually extra violent. As for author's "intent" - it's a long debate in literature on the topic of how much reader can actually extrapolate this kinds of stuff from reading the book. Seems more like personal bias than anything here.

Саша Одинец

Exactly thank you. He definitely could’ve waiting he was being weirdly selfish and it just didn’t seem right! It always rubs me the wrong way. Stephanie made lot of poor choices in her writing it’s baffles me as an adult.

Peaches

The voice overs were just something else 🤣

Badd Medicine

Looking forward to how they wrap this up.

Badd Medicine

Lol that scene was pretty bad. At least maybe attempt them talking?🤷‍♂️

Badd Medicine

Looking forward to seeing how this story ends

I don't think everyone has seen that here

Anna Kendrick plays a hot mess in the comedy "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" alongside Aubrey Plaza, Zac Efron and Adam DeVine.

Lloyd S.

I’m glad someone said it!! Thank you! ❤️

Michelle Blkft

This is the worst movie in the series, imo. Hated every moment of it and was definitely looking away when she drank blood. The dialogue between the wolves was incredibly cheesy. Breaking Dawn part 2 is the best movie in the series, again imo. 😎

Ginger

When Jacob first changed after finding out about the baby, yall seemed to like the voice over stuff and I was saying just wait 10 seconds you are going to hate it. I like cheesy movies and have seen a lot of bad scenes but the wolf talking scene in this movie is the worst I have ever seen. I like the odd number movies best and 3 is my favorite. I hope yall enjoy at least some of the final film. I agree with others that the books are bad and I agree with yall this is not the relationship goals teens should have. I read them in my 20s and could see the issues but I liked the lore, it's different from a lot of other vampire and werewolf lore.

Mariah Lovegood

That's right! She didn't want the big wedding, if I remember that too. It's been a while since reading the books. But you're right, she wanted to bolt, but not because she wanted Jacob instead or to stay human.

Jennifer K

Bella was about to bolt tho. Although it was because she hates being the center of attention and not because she had second thoughts about Edward and all. You see the shift in her expression once she sees Edward. She is completely focused on him, although she is still uncomfortable.

Tealhiid

I enjoyed these books in my teens mainly for the vampire stuff, the romance side of these was always quite cringey, but even moreso in the movies. I will say the last one is at least slightly fun at parts, kind of like movie 3, but it's still a bad movie. They also added a line for Jacob which makes the imprinting thing even weirder than it already was, and it was already weird. Seeing Bella as a vampire is fun though.

Xeph

“This is nonsense” no it isn’t?? Meyers included it in canon. She wrote about it in the companion guide. The twilight Wikipedia entry for vampires also talks about it. Also, characters having different opinions doesn’t mean the author didn’t intend for it to serve a viewpoint. Because in the end, they didn’t have sex until after they were married. Even if Bella tried. But believe what you will 🤷‍♀️

Manny D.

Great reaction, hilarious! This movie is a great example of why I think Kristen Stewart wasn't ready for this role: Quinn was right--she looked like she was about to bolt instead of walking down the isle. Instead she was supposed to look nervous and head-over-heels in love. The bed scene. The car scene where she calls Rosalie. You never know what she's thinking because it's always the same facial expression from the actor. Added: agreed, voiceover wolves = horrid. HAH! Also, imprinting is more like fate rather than a choice; it's not something they decide, rather it just happens to them based on a first meeting.

Jennifer K

Yep! That happened just after Edward heard it's thoughts the first time. Up until then he and Edward were team kill the baby but when Edward was suddenly so happy about the baby, Jacob snapped.

Midgey_M

Don't be sorry. We appreciate it. Keep it coming!

Badd Medicine

Great stuff here! Keep the tidbits coming.

Badd Medicine

Glad you noticed 😂😂😂🤙🤙🤙

Badd Medicine

Okay, I just noticed that Mason and Oak are riding the wolves 😭😭😭

Christine L.

About Edward saying the baby was like Bella. He didnt mean the baby was human, he meant the bay was "good" like her and not "a monster with no soul" as he often thinks of himself. He hated the baby because he thought it was some kind of "blood-sucking demon without feelings" that was killing Bella from the inside. He changed his mind when he "heard" baby's thoughts and realize the baby actually loved Bella and him, liked the sound of their voices, etc. So the baby was good and loving like Bella and not a monster. About the baby being a vampire or a human, we dont know yet. We can theorise shes at least somehow a vampire cause she wanted blood. But it hasnt been revealed yet.

Esther Montes

The Vulturi (the bad vampires from Italy) actually want Alice and Edward. They said it in movie 3, but the detail is easy to miss. In the books its better explained. The vulturi always wanted Edward and Alice to join them, because their powers (seeing the future and reading minds) are so strong and would be so useful for them. But Edward and Alice never wanted to join them because they already have a clan (the cullens). Thats why the vulturi are so obsesed with finding the smallest reason to kill the cullens, so they can then "spare" Edward and Alice and dont kill them if they "choose" to join them. So thats who they want (for now): Edward and Alice (specially Alice).

Esther Montes

"vampires can’t be anything other than white (transforming into a vampire literally removes the melanin from the skin" This... is nonsense?.. All of the vampires are described as *pale*, like, you know, bloodless walking corpses, only looking beautiful due to their magical(?) nature.. Laurent is described even in the books as having "skin olive-toned beneath the typical pallor", and there are darker skinned vampires in the series. "beliefs that people who weren’t white were that way because of sin" soooo purely white vampires who possibly have no soul and are mostly murders - suddenly associated with someone not having sins in this comment?... -"it’s most obvious in the “no pre-marital sex” and anti-abortion storylines"- which is why Bella was literally trying hard to get Edward into bed even before marriage and why most of the people around Bella were on the side of the abortion?.. Whichever side you pick as your guideline (and you shouldn't, it's more complicated than that) - it would go against one or another of these sentences. The events of the story may raise these questions but they are not written as "yeah, all the way this, pro this pro that".

Саша Одинец

thats it, nothing i wanna add

Vinicius Pacheco

I had never really considered what these movies are like for people who haven’t read the books. I mean I’ve always recognized the cringey parts and some subpar acting but wow, the whole experience is different when you have backstory. And I’m sure it helps that I was definitely the target audience when these came out lol I’m 26 now. Just a few things you might find interesting, 1. Vampire strength is extremely downplayed in the movies from the jump. In the books they talk about how basically if Edward wasn’t paying attention, he could reach up to touch Bella’s face and accidentally crush her skull. It’s not just the fact that he wants her blood that made Jacob immediately freak out when she brought up having a “real” honeymoon. This is also the reason it took Edward so long to even agree to try for a traditional honeymoon. 2. Everything Edward and the Cullens could find in their research pointed to the baby being an uncontrollable monster. And with how vicious and bloodthirsty newly turned vampires are, it wasn’t had for most of the Cullen’s to believe the research was true. Bella and Rosalie were betting everything on it being a “normal” baby while all the research was indicating otherwise. None of them were thinking of it as a real baby until they had proof and it’s why Edward’s whole mindset changed after. 3. Werewolf 101: Jacob and the pack are actually shapeshifters not werewolves and it all has something to do with genetics. So you could think of it like a sort of mutation or evolutionary thing. The wolf shifting gene actually activates due to the close proximity of vampires, which their body responds to as a natural enemy. This causes them to shift if they are old enough. The pack is as big as it is because the Cullen clan has more members than the last time they lived there and, because of the nomads and newborn army that were in the area. More vampires(aka enemies) in the area = more Quileute boys (boys except for Leah) shifting into wolves. They also stop aging while they continue to shift. They could theoretically live forever but, if they stop shifting, they can start aging normally again. This takes a lot of practice and is up to circumstance since shifting is triggered by strong emotion (usually anger) and vampires. The Third Wife, from the bonfire stories in Eclipse, was the third wife because the Chief at the time had lived long enough to have 3 wives. I think wolves typically choose to age with the person they imprint on. 4. Imprinting 🙃 messy but I think of it as all having to do with the genetics thing. Genes/instincts recognize when someone is the ideal mate. (Bleh I just weirded myself out) But in the books, it is made extremely clear that the relationship or connection is what the imprint wants. Friend, protector, lol babysitter 😅 The one without a choice is really the wolf tbh. It’s also mentioned in the book how, if there was anything inappropriate about it, Edward would definitely kill Jacob before he could even finish the thinking it. There’s so much more but those are some facts I thought might make you look at things a little differently. I really think you guys will at least like the last installment a little bit😅 It probably caused the most emotional turmoil and the most visceral reaction I’ve ever had in a movie theater to this day. Then again, I was way more invested than you guys are😂😂 This is the longest comment I’ve ever written lol the Twilighter in me jumped out. But thank you if you’ve really read this far! Can’t wait for part 2!

Preach Dani 🫶🏼

rachele

Also, maybe someone’s already said this, but when you’re reading the books, this is so much more romantic and the relationships are a lot less toxic 😂 Everything is more explained and you really get sucked into the story. I think the directors did as much as they could, but there’s no way you could capture what’s in the books in the movies. 16 year old me was so in love (I still am, don’t worry).

Cekaia Miller

I’m gonna be honest, I’m not completely sure when Jacob did this (I haven’t read the books in like 2 years) but yeah, around when Edward heard the baby sounds right.

Cekaia Miller

This was my least favourite movie of the series. The next one will answer a lot of your questions and we got a lot more decent action sequences. Hang in there, guys! lol. Also, imprinting is basically, whoever they imprint on, they become what that person needs. It can be romantic, but it can also be protector, brother...etc...Looking forward to the finale.

LisaMarie D

You get zero back story in the movies. Alice's story was told in the first book. She woke up as a vampire alone which is unusual. It meant someone changed her and left her. She woke up not knowing what she was, but she had a vision of the Cullens and jasper. So she set off to find them. She found jasper, think they told that in eclipse, then found Carlisle. They (Esme, Carlisle, Edward and possibly Rosalie) came back from hunting and they were waiting. In the first book you find all this out. You also find out that James came across Alice and her blood was like Bellas to Edward. Alice was in an insane asylum and apparently a vampire had taking a liking to her. So when James found her this other vampire changed her and James found them got pissed he couldn't drain her and killed the other vampire leaving Alice alone while she changed. James tells Bella all this when he was recording her. The theory is Alice had visions while human so her family put her away and wrote her off as insane. She's the only Cullen that has zero memories from her human life. On the day Rosalie died she was visiting a friend that had a baby with curly hair and dimples and she was jealous she wanted kids so bad. She found Emmet (who's described as curly hair and dimples) in the woods. He was attacked by a bear and dying. Rosalie carried him all the way to Carlisle to make him change him. Esme had jumped from a bridge and they thought she was dead but Carlisle could detect a slight heartbeat and turned her. She jumped from a bridge cause she lost her baby. So Rosalie and esme became Bellas biggest protectors because one desperately wanted a baby and the other had lost one. Alice hated it cause she couldn't see the baby and thought it was killing Bella. So it divided the family. Carlisle, esme, rosalie and emmett protecting bella and edward, alice and jasper wanting the baby gone. Carlisle came from a very religious family and was actually vampire hunting when he was bit. He hid and changed in silence. He believed he was damned and tried to kill himself in so many ways. He starved himself and one day a deer ran by and he attacked it and realized he could live off animal blood. Carlisle is the only Cullen who has never killed a human. The cross on the stairs I believe is from his father's church....could be wrong on that. This is kinda jumbled I'm sorry it's been awhile since I read them and I'm sure someone has posted the back stories before. The wolves voices I think was trying to show the mental communication and the "alpha voice" but yes did NOT realize how God awful that was. The blood in a Styrofoam cup is something that you understand in the books. Bella nearly faints at other peoples blood. She had to be walked to the nurses station when they did blood typing in the first book. So Edward told Carlisle not to put it in a clear cup. Again sorry if you already heard the back stories and I may have gotten some details wrong, but the last time I read the books fully I was probably 20 and that's ten years ago. Anyway if you read this comment and I didn't terribly confuse you I hope it helped a smidge lol. Oh also I'm 99.9% sure Leah (girl wolf) and Sam were engaged not just dating. Then when the cullens moved in it caused Sam to change and then he imprinted on Emily (Leah's cousin) and Sam is also the one that scarred her face. He got mad and shifted to close to her. Oh and in wolf form they can't keep secrets so literally anything they are thinking the whole pack hears. So she could always hear how much Sam loves Emily. And Sam tried to get her to return to his pack by using a nickname he called her when they were together! That always irritated me. Ok now I think thats it. Again sorry if this is info you already have I forget to look at comments.

important nobody

Didn't that happen right after Edward heard the baby. Jacob knew he was the only one that hated it then or something? Funny I forgot about that till you said it

important nobody

in the book, Jacob was so overwhelmed with bella being pregnant, that Edward gave Jacob his keys to their fastest car and he drove to a park and tried to imprint on girls there by staring at them lol.

Cekaia Miller

Honestly yall gunna really enjoy part 2.

cody reneau

The movies don't explain Jacob’s whole story very well and really the whole pack themselves. It doesn’t include why he hasn’t imprinted on someone yet, what imprinting really is, the fact that they’re not werewolves, why Leah is the only girl wolf, the fact that the wolves stop aging until the people they imprinted on matches them in age, and lastly they did no justice to the scene in which Jacob separates from the pack. I remember reading that part in the book and it being much better than the movie. That scene was just horrible in the movie.

Karen Buonanno

I don’t think the movies made it clear but Jacob is younger then bella he is 15 doing twilight and had just turned 16 in new moon. with that being said I take that into consideration on how he acts. This also why I was team jacob he was young and fell for someone he’s known his whole life ( another thing the movies don’t make known). So let’s breaks this down you have a 16 year old hot headed teen boy who is going through puberty which turns out to be him turning into a wolf that He didn’t want. Oh and also the The love of his life is stringing him along. Yes he’s going to be all over the please. Now about this imprinting again I don’t think the movie did good at explaining what it meant but imprinting doesn’t necessarily mean romantic relationship. Idk if you guy saw but when they was on the beach the camera should his friend quil (I think that’s the one) standing by a little girl he had imprinted on her. That was them showing you that is not all about romance. Now honestly it is weird and I don’t think the movies does is going to do a good job at making sure that Jacob will only be renesmee protector. Love you guy reaction

diamond frazier

True. Bella never had second though, except during the honeymoon. Before she became pregnant, Bella was starting to think about waiting for 3-5 years before turning because she thought that life (and sex) was good with Edward as a human. She just didn't have the time to say it out loud before the baby thing came about.

Tealhiid

You as well.

Marco Gutierrez

True. They are shape shifters.

Miss_CJ

To be fair, the author has a right to choose who will be representing/playing her characters. If she imagined them and wrote them a certain way to begin with. There is a serious lack of diversity but I don't think it was ill-intended.

Miss_CJ

When Edward said the baby was like her, he meant not a full vampire…. which you’ll understand better in the 2nd movie . Be careful not to talk over the dialogue or you’ll miss it.

Grandma’s4GreatReacts

The wolves in the movie are NOT werewolves. Werewolves change with the full moon and not at their will. Silver kills them. Theses wolves become wolves when they are around vampires. Also Bella doesn’t lead Jacob on… she has loved Edward from day 1…she has only wanted to be friends with Jacob. Jacob on the other hand thought that he could change her mind. So he put himself thru it! Quinn mentioned several times that Bella was having second thoughts about marrying… she doesn’t like being the center of attention so walking up the aisle was a tremendous thing for her to do.

Grandma’s4GreatReacts

Just one more movie guys, and it's the best one. Don't worry, this one is not my favorite either. Also, they used a dummy prop for Bella's body at the end there. Haha

Veronica

I do not share your perspective, and prefer to base my conversations in observable reality and facts instead of conjecture and unsubstantiated opinion. So have a great day otherwise 😊

Lena

Of course religion doesn't make society better: a relationship with God does. And of course there's no research into this. Who in their right mind would fund the researchers trying to expose their attempts to control the masses? It's something that is self evident if you bother to do the slightest bit of research. A 10 year old 100 years ago was more competent and mature than a 20 year old today. Society is literally tearing itself apart due to the fake problems that spoiled youngsters are making up because they *have* to find something to complain about instead of just being content.

Marco Gutierrez

I was the target audience when I first saw this movie and it was soooo uncomfortable and cringey! But I think the next one is fun! Can't wait for the reaction!

Daniela Martinez

Women got the right to work, vote, open bank accounts and buy houses without a man's signature, so it's no longer a near death sentence to divorce anymore. In countries with fewer rights and opportunities for women, they get married earlier, have more children, and get abused more often. Again, this has been researched. If you have research that backs up your claim of "society treats everyone like a child and people just want hedonistic pleasure," I wouldn't mind reading it. And I would be careful about bringing up religion. Societies with higher religiosity rates have more violent crime, poverty, less education, etc... Religion doesn't make society better from a scientific standpoint. Your morals may differ.

Lena

Regarding the Cullens' wealth, Alice can predict the changes in the stock market so they just invest accordingly.

Christine L.

Correlation does not equal causation. You're more likely to get divorced period. That would naturally translate to younger as well. However if you look at secular people that got married young and Christians that got married young, you see a much more clear picture. Of course you're going to get divorced if all you believe about marriage is that it's a piece of paper and that it can be broken as easily as you saying so. This goes doubly if all you're looking for is hedonistic pleasure. That means you were never really looking for marriage in the first place. People have paired up together young for all of human history. It's only in the last hundred years that such a huge divorce rate even arose. It isn't an issue of marrying young, it's an issue of having no clue what you want because society keeps treating you like a child and you just went along with it instead of growing up.

Marco Gutierrez

Sorry you were right about the baby, so I edited it out, but the Volturi at the credit scene has been mentioned in the previous movies about wanting Edward and Alice. Thanks for bringing the spoilers to my attention!

Dani Johnson

Fun fact: The music playing during the wedding was the same one playing during their prom. Don't worry guys, Part 2 is SO MUCH BETTER.

Christine L.

Absolutely the treatment of the Native characters is racist and the harm to the IRL Quileute tribe is very bad. I didn’t touch on it because another commenter already talked about it in a previous comment.

Manny D.

I’ve never heard of Nikki Reed identifying as a POC but if she does, Stephenie Meyer looked at her and saw a white girl so take it up with Stephenie. And yes in the movies and books there are POC who are vampires, but again in the books they are described as incredibly pale and again per canon, once they transformed, they lost their melanin. But since you can only put so much make up on people before it becomes too much, I don’t think Stephenie had much of a choice when it came to the movies.

Manny D.

this one is definitely a rough watch and probably my least favourite. but i have to say, I watched breaking dawn part 2 in the theatres and one of the scenes got the BIGGEST audible reaction from the audience that I've ever witnessed !! excited to see your reaction to the next one! thank you for hanging in there with these - to put it plainly - dreadful movies, it's been a lotta fun! :D

Alex Howell

Oh the thing with Edward saying the baby was "like" Bella. Edward views himself as an evil monster/being. So he was assuming that the baby was like a vampire demon spawn that was also "evil." So when he heard what was presumably "normal" baby thoughts, he was like "Oh, wow it's good. It's not evil like me." So he didn't literally mean that the baby was human he just meant it wasn't evil.

Halestar

You're more likely to get divorced when you marry younger, and your brain hasn't developed fully yet. It's science.

Lena

I am 30 seconds in and literally LOLing rn at Oak's vampire makeup 🤣🤣🤣

rachele

Nikki Reed is a POC so I'm not sure that point stands. Next movie also has non-evil POC vamps, and she produced that one. Maybe she changed her mind partway through?

Lena

Oh and I forgot to add, the Volturi really want Alice and Edward, but Alice the most. She's OP because she can see the future and he doesn't have anyone like that in his ranks.

Halestar

Just a few things, because the movie wasn't super clear on it: Yes, Edward bit through the placenta. They used the scalpel to get through her skin, but if you remember, they said needles couldn't penetrate the sac so he had to bite through it. Edward biting her all over was him trying to get as much venom into her as quickly as possible because he was afraid that just the syringe with his venom was not enough and that she would still die. The morphine interacted with the venom in a weird way and paralyzed Bella. When they did those quick shots of her screaming, that's what she was actually feeling but she wasn't able to move. Imprinting: the way it's explained in the books is that depending on the age of the person that the wolf imprints on (which is involuntary on their part, they can't choose to imprint on someone), it changes what the imprinting means. Since Renesmee is just a baby, Jacob has more brotherly/protective feelings over her. But since he's a wolf, he's going to age slower than a regular person while she grows up. So, if he's always there for her, her whole life, it would then stand to reason that eventually she might fall for him. It's not a guaranteed thing, she has a choice. That's still a bit weird and makes a lot of people uncomfortable (rightly so haha).

Halestar

These are spoilers! We are not supposed to know what the baby is yet or if it's immortal, and we aren't supposed to know what the Volturi are talking about yet explicitly.

Lena

It's not, but the movies gave a bad representation of imprinting

Tealhiid

The feelings can become romantic if the imprintee wants them too. And in that case if Renesmee wants a relationship with him he has no choice. If she wanted him to be in his wolf form all his life he also would have no choice, just like he has no choice in being her personal walking blood bank. In the movies they make it seem like he plans on being in the relationship with her when she grows up, but in reality he never sees her as more than what she wants him to be for her.

Tealhiid

I want to add, it’s exclusively native men turning into literal animals and being portrayed as aggressive and violent. I never knew about the Mormon connection. Thanks for sharing.

NS

Unless I got my timelines wrong, I think Kellan was bulking for the Hercules movie he was about to film

Bella H

To be fair no one warned you because we all forgot that this movie existed 😂😂

Melanie M

oooooh and have y’all noticed the actress who plays Esme is in Haunting of Hill House? 👏

Angelina

From the face paint to the cheers at Rob breaking the bed - has me ROLLING 🤣 Despite how heavy and weird this movie is, FANTASTIC reaction, y’all 🤘 Answer winking to his wife was pretty cute haha Oh! And Mexico is still in North America, man 😆 Can’t wait for the finale of this franchise! 🔥

Angelina

There's a really dopey parody of these films called "Vampires Suck" y'all should check out when you're done with these. It was made by the "Scary Movie" producers. Lol

Aaron

This movie is fictional!! Real fetuses/babies don’t have a heart beat days after being made, and are most definitely not telling you they love you before being born. Oh and they gestate longer than 2 months. And I am pro choice. If you bring a life into this world and can’t take care of them, what kind of life is that? I personally would never have an abortion, but who am I to tell someone else they can’t, when I don’t know their life, their family situation, their finances, their medical health, or even how they got pregnant to begin with? Not all pregnancies are from consensual encounters…

Dani Johnson

You guys got through it! It’s a rough one for new watchers, although funny for people watching the reactions. The next one is better, don’t worry. Yes, imprinting can be platonic. But the wolves evolved to have imprinting in order to ensure the bloodline continued, so you known it doesn’t have to STAY platonic. 😬. Also I wanted to touch on something I think BD part 1 showcases more than anything: the author is Mormon, and the books are incredibly influenced by it. In this movie, it’s most obvious in the “no pre-marital sex” and anti-abortion storylines. It’s also slightly racist in the books because vampires can’t be anything other than white (transforming into a vampire literally removes the melanin from the skin. This is inspired by Mormon beliefs that people who weren’t white were that way because of sin, and removing the sin made them white. Many Mormons no longer believe this, but that’s where Stephenie Meyer got it from. The filmmakers in the first movie actually had to argue with her because they were going to cast some of the Cullen as POC, but Meyers refused. She only allowed Laurent, who is a bad vampire, to be cast as a non white actor). There’s essays people have written about this online that are very interesting. That mixed with the very toxic relationships between Bella, Edward, and Jacob do make the films and book much harder to digest as an adult. As a teenager, you don’t really think about that kind of thing. It’s just “oh they love each other and would do anything for each other” which is easy to romanticize. One more to go! I’m glad either way that you guys went on this journey. It’s certainly an experience 🤣

Manny D.

Honestly going back to the beginning of the movie, I really don't see the problem you guys have with her getting married so young is. The entire point of marriage and relationships is to grow with the person, so you want to get that started as soon as possible. It makes no sense to "find yourself" in your 20s only to change who that person is in your 30s once you decide to settle down. All finding yourself means is getting lost in hedonism and pointless hollow pleasure. Our society is just too interested in keeping people as aimless and helpless children for as long as possible instead of preparing them for independence and competence.

Marco Gutierrez

Second worst movie of the series. No clue why the split them when all the action happens in breaking Dawn part 2

Melanie M

I seriously can't understand how someone can walk away from this movie with that same tired and erroneous understanding. This movie literally portrays the baby as a living being with wants and desires and you're still going on about my body my choice. It isnt a choice to murder someone else: it's a crime. Period. If someone isn't threatening to kill you, then you have no right to kill them.

Marco Gutierrez

There is one thing a gotta say about Jacob's last line in the next movie. Stephanie or whoever decided that this was gonna be the line is gross and needs to be locked up. They really said let's cement Jacob as the worst character ever and let's help him dig his own grave. The fact that in the books Jacob never said that line baffles me even more, because there was no reason for it to even exist and it means that someone (screenplay writer or Stephanie) thought it was a good idea to add it. Also, that line single handedly contradict everything established earlier about imprinting. Like it never was about that and because that line was added in the movie it made everyone think the worst of Jacob and imprinting when Jacob is litteraly a "victim" of sorts. It makes me mad.

Tealhiid

I appreciate yours too. And I guess that's why I never really cared for Jacob. You can see from the beginning that she just used him as a plot device. Considering that there was no triangle in Stephanie's plan since it was not supposed to be a saga, she really took whatever she found out there, butchered it and than butchered it some more when she realized that people like Jacob more. She didn't take time to learn anything from the Quileutes and just went with what she wanted. I mean even in the books you see it. Every other characters have a past a story and a reason or motivation for being here. And then there is Jacob and the rest of the wolves. Except Leah and Sam you know nothing. They are a group they have no individuality, except for Paul who is the werewolf version of Emmett. They get angry, they attack and that's it.

Tealhiid

New moon and Breaking Dawn part 1 have always been the worst in books and movies for me. My favorite movie tho is Breaking Dawn part 2, because I feel like everyone came into themselves. For all the time people said that Bella was young and didn’t know what she want, the next movie/book proves that she was right.

Tealhiid

Yes it is extremely sad. They can't even decide if they phase or not. If there is a vampire around they must phase into a werewolf. Also the author chose to write a group of Quileute men as aggressive, violent, literal animals. That's a different conversation though. I wish she had made up a tribe name instead. I really appreciate your input!

NS

That's another reason why I do not like team werewolves. I was always on the side of becoming a vampire, but the moment I learned this I could not be on their side, because that is not a life to live.

Tealhiid

So yeah imprinting is not about romance at all. When werewolves imprint they essentially become what the person they imprinted on wants. They have no agency and cannot escape it. So right now Renesmee needs a protector so he will protect her. If later on she wants a boyfriend he can become her boyfriend, but if she wants another guy as a boyfriend he will be there on the side line as a friend or brother. He could also be a son if she wanted too, so yeah he doesn't decide.

Tealhiid

Sorry I didn't tell you guys this is a horror movie LOL. As we go into the next one let us remember fictional characters don't make choices, authors do. The only real red flag here is Stephanie Meyer. Imprinting is more about servitude/slavery than love. It's framed as romantic like other crappy things in this series. Jacob has to do whatever the baby wants. In the book he was even her walking blood bag. If they want you around 24/7 then you can't leave their side. If they tell you they want a romantic relationship you have to be in a romantic relationship with them. Whatever they want you to do, you do. Imprinting usurps all of the werewolf's own wants and needs and turns them into a slave. No autonomy. No agency. No choice. Sam imprinted on Emily. Even though he is still in love with Leah, the draw that he had towards Emily and vice versa supersedes that. There is a real life Quileute tribe in La Push, Washington that was negatively affected by portrayals in the series. The tribe never received compensation in connection with real parts of their culture utilized in the Twilight franchise. I'm happy you guys seem to still be having fun watching together no matter what!

NS

No it's not and it never was. People just take it as a romantic thing.

Tealhiid

The wolves can read each other's minds

Eryn Young

Woahhh I DID WARN you guys in my comment that this movie was traumatizing lmao. The only thing that I like about this movie is their honeymoon, the flirting and also at the end, when Bella is changing to her vampire self. Other than that, I hate everything else. Funny enough, I liked the book. The book is divided in 3 parts, the first part is the wedding, the honeymoon up until Bella and Edward gets back to Forks, as she is now pregnant. The second part is from Jacob's perspective (which I couldn't care for) while Bella is pregnant, and you get to know all his turmoil and the way he distances himself of his pack up until he imprints on Renesmee...and then the third part is what happens in Breaking Dawn Part 2. And yeah, like most people mentioned in the comments, a wolf imprinting on someone doesn't necessarily mean love in the romantic way. It can be platonic, friendly, it's more of a guardian thing where they feel fulfilled protecting and caring for someone. It's strange, I never really liked that concept but since it's fantasy, oh well. My personal ranking of the movies is: 1) Twilight (because it's iconic) 2) Eclipse (because the plot is actually interesting and the action nicely put) 3) Breaking Dawn Part 2 (because it has some nice moments) 4) Breaking Dawn Part 1 (it's a bit of a tie with New Moon but I just like the wedding, the honeymoon and the fact Bella finally changes into a vampire) 5) New Moon (I very much dislike the love triangle and how the story focuses on Jacob and Bella, and how Bella becomes suicidal to get a 'rush')

Miss_CJ

They used a doll for a lot of Bella’s waisting away. Like when she falls and her back breaks. Then on the birthing table the lower half was the doll. As for imprinting, the books go into detail that when they are young it’s a protective thing. When Jacob was on the beach they showed the imprinted wolves and then they showed another imprinted couple at the waves… a wolf and a kid. Gross now, but it’s a fantasy. Part of Bella being so cruel and connected to Jacob especially while pregnant was the baby. She perked up at his visits. But they should touch on that more in part 2. Hopefully part 2 will leave you more satisfied, I’m already predicting your comments for the very end.

Caroline Price

I agree. I like how they made Bella decide what she wanted even though people were against (or for her decision) Edward was a dick but I guess I can kind of comprehend his reaction. He finally found the love of his life after 100+ years and it’s getting taken away by something he had no connection with (since he couldn’t read its mind or feel its presence). Jacob has always been selfish so this doesn’t deviate from the usual 👀. Rosalie projecting her life on Bella since she could never had a baby of her own …

L AH

This movie was the 2nd worse one for me. New Moon was the worst and most boring. I have a couple things to say for this movie. As a female I like this movie as it displays that it is Bella’s body therefore her choice on whether to have the baby or not. Also the idea that doing what is right isn’t always the easiest option, even if that means going against authority. As for Jacob and Renesmee: Jacob imprinting is a romantic thing, but it does start out as a guardian type relationship. It will then be romantic when she is an adult. Credits: The volturi wants Alice and Edward for their ability to see the future and read minds. They don’t know about the baby or the possibility of having a vampire baby. I love your guys’ reactions! Not knowing anything that is happening or going to happen! I can’t wait for you guys to see the final movie!

Dani Johnson

50 seconds in when I notice...is Oak wearing white make-up?! I'm in stitches 🤣

Bella H

BY THE WAY IMPRINTING IS VERY MUCH A ROMANTIC THING IN THIS SERIES. ABSOLUTELY GROSS! I GET THAT HES DOINg IT TO PROTECT HER BUT SHE HAS PARENTS FOR THAT LOL. lol it’s beyond weird. Never cared much for Jacob after reading the books early on.

Peaches

The last video in your Twilight playlist should be Dracula: Dead and Loving It

Frater H.H.L.e

Badd Medicine

Yo, did the movie make Oak sweat his makeup off by the end?? LOL

Ron Banks

Sorry I literally just joined their patreon an hour ago. An answer would of been nicer.

Julia

It did fade lol

Badd Medicine

I love how Oak’s makeup slowly faded out with the movie along with his mood 😂😂😂

L AH

imprinting is romantic guys ahahaha thats why some ppl dont like jacob, from the early ages it will be purely a protective bond but idk it kinda reminds me of grooming

stephanie

Rewatching the movie with you guys, I’ve never felt so much cringe in my life. I hate this movie and I hated it when it came out. I know money is money but the twilight universe is not as rich as the HP or Hunger games universe so there was no need to split it into two Also be prepared to be utterly baffled and grossed out by the last movie. One choice was made by Stephanie Meyer that I can’t even ……. Answer, I’m still sticking to what I said for the first movie, this will be your HP journey. I hope you do a 180 by the last movie, I have faith in you 😬

L AH

The answered it in the post literally just before yours. Scroll up people.
