You actually already did see Uncle before in season 1 control lightning. It was the episode with the Storm. Their ship gets struck by lightning and they're trying to get to the eye of the storm. The lightning strikes the ship again but Iroh catches it and redirects it into the sea.

The Badger Miles are the original Earthbenders, that’s super dope. Also the Avatar State, huge lore drops happening. Important info for Aang moving forward; the Avatar State ain’t nothing to play with. Great job mentioning Sokka’s invention…just like his boomerang, things come back around in this show.

2023-01-03 05:35:18 +0000 UTCFinally, honestly my favorite character of the series is Azula, and a thing to note with her is yes, she is a firebending prodigy, but there are more impressive skills that come from her such as her ability to get inside people's heads and use their weaknesses as a weapon along with ruling with fear ( like her father is currently doing). Azula wasn’t just defeating Zuko physically she was also defeating him mentally, in a previous episode we learned that to be able to firebend good you have to breath which Zuko wasn’t doing because he is mentally unwell. Zuko is so desperate to go back home and so he is rushing into everything despite not being ready. Instead of focusing on healing to be calm and to be better at firebending. Also want to point out the age difference between the characters; Zuko is 16, Azula is 14, Sokka is 16, Katara is 14, and Aang is 12 (or 112). It warmed my heart to see Uncle Iroh running after Zuko, and Zuko’s tone changed, because he was genuinely happy to have his uncle by his side, despite the mean things he said. Iroh is a smart man however, and him running up in his armor opposed to Zuko just being in his normal clothes said it all. Another fun fact is that we have seen Iroh redirect natural lighting in the storm episode, now we are learning that he can redirect someone else's lightning, very interesting. Love the lore in episode 2, Secret Tunnels will forever be a banger! Haha Can’t wait to continue on this journey with you guys!

2023-01-03 02:23:49 +0000 UTCDante Basco probably used a lighter tone for his voice that's why it sounds a bit different, but his voice still the same in 2022 as it was in 2005. Also just so you don't get confused Azula bends blue fire hence Azul being in her name so it's not always lightning.

I personally really like Zuko's story because he is still an antagonist to our crew but I feel like some people could relate to him. Wanting the approval of your family, feeling that you aren't as gifted as your siblings and have to work even harder to achieve what they can easily...And the uncle is definitely a nice source of reason and wisdom, and is most definitely more powerful than he lets on. We are getting close to meeting my favorite character!! I'm pretty hype for it! Great reaction guys!
