2022-10-19 21:13:21 +0000 UTCCrouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is considered to have some of the best fight scene choreography ever in film, and stands out as a kungfu movie with oscar-worthy storytelling ( π won 4 oscars, nominated for 10 ). It is of the wuxia genre βοΈ, which is the centry-old kungfu film style that was the original inspiration for The Matrix's π fight choreography. I remember when it first came out, it introduced wuxia to western audiences with such quality, that critics described it as raising film to the level of art π¨. Everything Everywhere All at Once's main star, Michelle Yeoh, is in Crouching Tiger as a strong and beautiful warrior. If you have not seen Crouching Tiger, it is a mind blower for sure π§ +π§¨=π₯. The poll is pretty close among popular choices, even if Crouching Tiger does not win this poll, I hope you will still give this art film a try later on.
