Added 2022-10-12 20:28:31 +0000 UTCIt's definitely been a journey for Rings here. One more to go. This episode did have an ok build to the finale. We are looking forward to how this will end this season. Any predictions on how the last episode will go for these characters?

This was a weak episode and Iβm gonna be ticked off if Celeborn is really dead in the series. Heβs in the movies. He survives to the end and then sets sail across the sea. He and Galadriel have a daughter who marries Elrond and becomes the mother of Arwen. So I will be ticked off if Celeborn was killed off. π

I liked seeing the aftermath of everything that happened instead of just skipping past the consequences. I also really enjoyed the great character moments between Elrond and Durin, and Galadriel had good growth as well. I'm excited for the finale!

Silmaril's light, more specifically, gives them life in this realm and Silmaril's light is found in these mithril. If you refer to the last episode (or maybe the one before that), there was a battle between an elf warrior and the balrog (the one we see in Fellowship and Two Towers movies) over/around a tree. It was called "The Song of the Roots of Hithaeglir". Lightning struck the tree and the mithril went from the tree, into the mountains. So it's more than just for armor and weapons. It will allow them to stay in this realm.

2022-10-12 22:59:22 +0000 UTCShort of them ending the season with Galadriel waking up, telling us all this was some horrible dream sequence and starting over in season two? I'm not sure. Just a lot a really bad writing. Like really, who believes Isiludur is really dead? The name change to Mordor was done bad and it's not exactly this big reveal. The whole Galadriel's husband thing being dead. It's long but worth a watch. The LOTR lore channel the Broken Sword did a live stream this morning trying to tackle "how do you fix this season with one episode to go?" The simple answer is even if there were four hours to go it would be hard if not impossible to save this season at this point. Im not writing off the series overall yet but this season I am. Like my brother whose the Tolkien expert (his college mentor was someone who consulted on the Peter Jackson movies) I was like "I want to ruin it for you but you'd most likely think I was making stuff up just to mess with you." Like I was going to tell him about a sex scene between Galadriel and Sauron but I'm not sure that won't happen at this point.
