Default Terrain Paints for Sims 2 - Build Mode
Added 2023-09-09 22:13:02 +0000 UTCSo you enjoy using the terrain paint tool? Well, believe it or not (or not), I'm less familiar with it than you might think! I tend to use it more frequently in The Sims 3's Create a World tool than within the actual game. However, given that customization tools in The Sims 2 are a bit more limited, I knew I needed to find a way around that.
This is a set that replaces ALL terrain paints in Build mode. The advantage is that this set comes with a complementary color palette. Something that bothered me in The Sims 2 was the dissonance between the color and texture of the available samples, but now, this issue has been resolved. It will be possible to construct visually richer and more detailed lots than ever before, with textures that create seamless transitions between one another. And the best part is that these textures look great on any of the new types of terrain: grass, sand, concrete, or earth.
Speaking of earth, there's limited variety in earth textures, that's true. It's possible that this might change in the near future; however, earth texture has been my Achilles' heel forever xD I hope you enjoy this replacement. I'm eager to discover what you'll create with them!
