We know there are mix opinions. Also, a franchise, these 5 movies were great. Johnny Depp did awesome as Jack Sparrow and also having a lot of say for this character.
Let us know if you hope a 6th is made? Will you watch if Johnny Depp is not back as Jack Sparrow?
The next series to follow is Maze Runner.

Very late to the party, but wanted to let you guys know I loved the reactions to the movies that I loved... I always took Jack saying he had a rendez vous beyond his horizon that he might go and try find Barbosa or maybe Calypso... I don't even really know why... but anyway, thank you so muh for reacting to these movies!

For a while my order has been 4,2,1,3,5 but honestly Pirates 3 is really starting grow on me and climb the ranks. Now I would rank them 4,2,3,1,5. Aside from my permanent #1 being Pirates four and #5 being dead last 1,2, and 3 could swing either way.

2022-09-16 23:28:41 +0000 UTC1,2,4,5,3 would be my order of highest of favs to favs. I really enjoyed how much darker this one was, I remember the first trailer seemed almost horror genre to me, that, despite how funny all the comedy, I felt both it was too much comedy, but I see that it was definitely needed to balance out the darker aspects and overall tone of the film, all of the films had battles and lots of death, but with Captain Salazar, he brought a much heavier weight to it, with a weird insanity/foolish way of speaking. Also, seeing how far Jack fell after the previous adventures, just kinda lost himself, before he's able to find himself again. One thing, that I'm probably in the minority of, I want to know what became of the preacher and the mermaid lol. I was really invested in that story. Also, the guy who played Henry, also is Robin/Dick Grayson in the Titans Live Action show. (Titans was just too much angst and sadlovedrama, I don't think I even finished the 1st season, but thats just in my personal tastes, Smallville and Doom Patrol are the only good DC tvshows to me, ((Doom Patrol is absolutely crazy and Hilarious and highly Recommend, 4th season coming soooooon))), he was also in a movie I've watched before called Ghosts of War that I really enjoyed, set during ww2 and went in very different directions midway and towards the end that threw me off, in a goodway. He was also in The Signal with Laurance Fishborne, The Giver with Jeff Bridges, and Maleficent with Angelina Jolie, that I can think of that I've watched with him. He's a good actor. Also Oculus. The one that plays Carina is in The Maze Runner movies, the mewest Resident Evil film that came out last year I believe, and ugh, that hurricane movie where she was trapped in the house and there was an alligator she was trying to escape from? I dunno wtf it is, lol. Anyways, I would love and hope they will finish off the 2nd trilogy, but if not, ignoring the after credit scene, there was a sense of "finality" with how the 5th closed out, that it doesn't make the series feel incomplete if they don't pursue the 6th film, no loose ends. Well, that was my novella, on to the next series! Lol!

2022-09-16 20:22:36 +0000 UTCif disney makes another pirates of the caribbean movie with johnny depp i would sure watch it. the story for a new pirates movie would have to be unique and a stand out from the recent ones i loved 4 outside the orignal trilogy the recent one they made from 5. movie 5 was ok didnt get me hyped like the other ones did. if you guys are looking for more johnny depp movies to watch my other favorites are sweeny todd and black mass. those 2 movies are different/darker than the pirate movies but johnny depp performances in those movie are phenomenal.

2022-09-16 18:23:30 +0000 UTCim back to finish off the pirate of movies with you guys. this mightve been my favorite reaction movie series so far from you guys. pirates of the caribbean is one of my favorite movie series growing up. 3, 4, 1, 2, 5 is how i will rank these movies. the bad guy just didint do it for me this time around nothing beats davy jones sadly and ian mcshane was awesome as blackbeard. and barbossa for first one turned to pirate friend was a cool story. for dead man tell no tales villain couldve done better wished it was a little bit more scarier for me. will always love johnny depp as captain jack sparrow in these movies. your guys reactions and talks about these movies are great.

2022-09-15 20:48:36 +0000 UTCIts growing on me I suppose. This is only the second time ive brought myself to watch it entirely. I can see why people like it but I just dont. Jack is drunk and just off his game the entirety of the movie. What happened to witty Jack? The Jack that improvises. I know Jack is supposed to be "down on his luck" but without Jack and his witty, charming, and smart natured schemes this one just lacks for me. To me the first movie was our introduction which is CLASSIC, the second movie lightning struck twice and introduced a badass villain in Davy Jones, the third one was a Will and Elizabeth "End Game" style movie and I dug it, the fourth one was unapologetically a Sparrow movie and he CARRIED, the fifth movie to me was a Barbossa movie....dont get me wrong I have a soft spot for Barbossa but im here for my Sparrow lol Just my opinion.

Super fun ride and I totally get what you mean that this franchise didn't have any intellectual property (other than a theme park ride) to base these movies on, so it was super creative! And yes! That was David Wenham from 300 & Faramir in LOTR 👏 I saw this in the theater knowing the *rumors* that Orlando Bloom was in it and people clapped and there were lots of gasps lol However, no one knew about Keira and there was an uproar of cheers when she came over the hill! Great job as always, friends 🎉
