All that's coming in the May version of OldSunset!

Another month has passed since the last update of OldSunset and the first preview of the Pleasantview project. I'm happy to share with you that this was another month that made me proud of OldSunset's progress.

In proportions it was not gigantic, but in detail, it was something particularly extraordinary for me. Mainly because we are working on a review for the rural OldSunset area. I didn't expect it to be better, and luckily it was. It wouldn't have been possible without all the feedback I received and the ideas that encouraged me to make these new areas usable (Can you believe I was thinking of making them just decorative?)

This not only ensured more beauty and comfort for the inhabitants of the rural region, but also provided new leisure areas to spend with your family on the weekend. Whether it's fishing on the new WHARF or grilling some fish on the island of land that has emerged from the depths of the lake just ahead. The best part is that this region is now accessible and you can take a boat ride there if you want.

But luckily that's not all! As I mentioned in Monthly schedule for OldSunset I had some goals for this month. One being to add more texture to earth around the world:

Unfortunately due to the amount of overlay textures I'm using to give OldSunset a UNIQUE look, the new ground texture was restricted to an option I was already using. And I'm restricted on where and how I'm going to add it, so as not to compromise the world's performance. But, I'm adapting and adding where possible. The new lakes area is a good example, and the result ended up pleasing me much more than I imagined! (I'm not a dust lover, so I tried to avoid this stress for our Sims, but since in The Sims dirt doesn't mean dust, I had to go back xD)

Speaking of which...new home in the countryside!

The house comfortably accommodates a family of at least 5 Sims and I did my best to fit into the family's budget. Did I get it? You'll find out when you enter the neighborhood after today's update Haha

As another goal of the month for OldSunset was to add more lots accessible, inspired by the 3D concepts shared in the post, there is also a second lot with great purchase potential for single Sims.

You can take a close look at the Speedbuild of this house and the next one I'm going to share right below IN THIS video. We did almost everything live on my Youtube channel!

Although beautiful, this is a high-cost home. It has a pool and jacuzzi, and believe me: it's bigger on the outside and smaller on the inside. If that's a problem for you, just brag about living in a huge mansion and try not to greet your neighbors xD

Well, there are still points left on the list to fill. I kept adding new community lots to make the city more functional for its inhabitants. And it's probably not exactly what you were expecting, but functionality for me, involves exercise Haha so we have a new gym with a design inspired by the original Sunset Valley gym

Plus, if your Sim is the outdoorsy type, across the street from the gym we have our FIRST batch of Beach!! It took a while, but it arrived. It is a great place to take the family for the weekend. Your sims can drink, enjoy the campfire or sunbathe. Why not work too?

The pool lot even received a lifeguard chair, just like this beach lot. With new lots comes new job opportunities! Also, I loved making this new wooden sign with The Sims bustin out logo, to remind your Sims that they're going to enjoy the day and get out of the rut <3

By the way, I added back a batch that I had accidentally removed and forgotten to replace in the last update. It remains an available area for your Sims to start a business, but it now integrates much better with the beach area.

And before I forget, minor changes have been added to this region. Rocks are being added a bit as I become more familiar with their sizes and interference around the routes on the map and at the same rate as I am able to create default recolors that make them more suitable for the map painting.

Overall, building in OldSunset this month was something I was really happy about. There are still many lots that need to be completed, but we are very close to the goal of building 130 lots! By my calculations, there are less than 28 lots left. In addition, of course, to add finishing to each of the lots that were left along the way and are more decorative than functional.

This brings us closer to the most ambitious part of this project: Creating families, stories and connecting all the dots with family trees, relationships and lore. And when that happens, then we'll have the magic coming to life in each of the new environments that are created and designed for OldSunset. Hope you enjoyed all the news this month. As I mentioned earlier, this month was totally focused on OldSunset. He deserved that care.

I'll be back soon with more news and construction schedule for the worlds. Until the end of the day (considering that it is now 9 am here in Brazil) I will be releasing the May version of OldSunset for everyone who supports us here on Patreon. Thanks for your time and see you later!
