hey I think the video is not working again, is there a fix for it?

Crokq z.

You are clearly on top of it, you reacted to this comment within 5 minutes 🙈, thank you!!

Vita Molenaar

I'll look into this

Badd Medicine

Sorry to say, but I believe this video is ofline again...

Vita Molenaar

Hey Emily. Let me look into this. I might have missed this one during a transfer from Vimeo. 🤙

Badd Medicine

I know I’m late to the party, but it says the video does not exist

Emily

Thank you very much ! I found it on YouTube though, so perhaps it's just a direct link problem :) good night ! :)

KarySky

Hello. Let me look into this. :)

Badd Medicine

Oooh this video doesn't work ?

KarySky

React to behind the scene’s of Harry Potter! They are really interesting

Jack Hampson

We did. Hope you check it out. It was a great reunion 🤘

Badd Medicine

The when you speak about carrying on with HP you should defo check out the reunion on hbo it was amazing to watch and it was a fantastic tribute to the series and gives great insights !!!

Pratish Lakhani

We can see what we can do 🤘

Badd Medicine

Could you react to A Year In The Life of J.K. Rowling? It's on YouTube and tracks Rowling as she writes Deathly Hallows and reflects upon Harry Potter.

Yenni Huynh

Haha... Do you have the link?

Badd Medicine

Saw a shirt on Amazon that said “bro do you even leviosa?” With a barbell on it. I think you all need it 😂

Yenni Huynh

To answer your question about Draco & the wand: that never happened in the book. This last director did not read the series either. JKR helped with the screenplays.

Angelina

Welcome! Glad you're here! We appreciate the support 🤙 We will definitely have to check that out

Badd Medicine

We'll have to check it out

Badd Medicine

YAY I'm a Patreon member now!! Y'all even got me on this website haha Huge fan! If y'all have any Potter or LOTR/Tolkien questions, I'm an encyclopedia for both 🤣 MovieFlame on YT has a FANTASTIC series comparing the books to movies. Highly recommend him for digest-able and snackable content based on what you want to know. PotterCollector is also SUPER knowledgeable! He's interviewed the people who've made the props/art/sets, has all the books/collectibles, and has been to all the theme parks & Harry Potter store in NYC. Great content!! Can't wait to see more from y'all 🥳

Angelina

Movie flame is a great reviewer and potter descriptive. Super Carlin Brothers are amazing at breaking down literally everything. Try Harry potter theory too with each character and their lives and after the war for those who survived.

Andrew Gamez

Looking back, I don't think we did. Definitely tried to process it and think of scenarios while that was going on.

Badd Medicine

Yup. Definitely would be a bucket list.🤙 we'll also have to check out that game.

Badd Medicine

You should watch the Super Carlin Brothers channel on youtube in your own time, lots and lots of theories there. 95% or more make total sense. The "Dumbledore's Plan" series they did is pure genius. Fills in a lot of plot holes. I think The Oak might enjoy those.

Kunzite Blossom

Finally got to sit down and watch the latest couple of Potter videos tonight! It's so much fun to watch you guys embrace the series and grow into bigger fans with each new video. If you're looking for some more Potter content, you guys should check out the new Hogwarts Legacy video game that's coming out at the end of this year. There is a 14 min gameplay trailer on YouTube that's very well done and worth taking a look at... As a 25 year old woman who has never purchased a video game in my life, I'll probably end up buying a console just to play this game haha. I think visiting Universal Studios is a bucket list trip for a lot of Potter fans, but getting to Orlando isn't feasible for everyone, so a lot of people are looking at this game as another way to experience the wizarding world for themselves. Hopefully the game lives up to all the hype, but it looks incredible from what they've released!

Jackie O'Donnell

Interesting 🤔 would've been cool to see that. But it's ok that we didn't.

Badd Medicine

You're right

Badd Medicine

Good perspective here, Aaron. Maybe it was for the best.

Badd Medicine

The Answer is the big gamer of the group. We should see what we can do.

Badd Medicine

Thank you! We appreciate it 🤙 we are starting to see a lot of comments that people aren't totally fond of the FB series. Going to bean interesting watch.

Badd Medicine

🤘🤘

Badd Medicine

Great stuff here Jane. Thank you.

Badd Medicine

Keep these tidbits coming

Badd Medicine

Lol if you want your hearts broken... Love it

Badd Medicine

Thank you

Badd Medicine

🤙🤙🤙

Badd Medicine

We will see what we can do🤙

Badd Medicine

🤘🤘

Badd Medicine

Great thread here. Good to see the perspectives.

Badd Medicine

Interesting there

Badd Medicine

That could be🤔

Badd Medicine

😁😁🤘🤘🤘

I think they didn't put the Malfoy scene in because it does not exist in the book. So maybe they wanted to stay true to the character of draco that is given in the book

Celine

When it is Sunday, and there will not be any new videos from Badd medicine, so you start to watch all the reaction movies once more 🤟

Tyta

I might be in a minority here, but I like that they didn't include Draco's redemption. It's just not something Draco would have done. The name Malfoy literally translates to something like "bad faith" in French. Meaning you can't rely on them to keep faith with with anyone. When Voldemort was defeated by baby Harry, Lucius only stayed out of prison by denying he served willingly, stating he was forced to do Voldemort's bidding. Lucius also was punished severely for not retrieving the prophecy in Order of the Phoenix. Draco was conflicted about killing Dumbledore and in the end he couldn't do it. He also didn't identify Harry when they were captured because he had begun to see what life under Voldemort was like.. Conflicted yes, heroic no. Narcissa straight up lied about Harry being dead to Voldemort's face, just for an excuse to get into the castle and look for her son. And when the battle began again after Harry rolls out of Hagrid's arms, all 3 Malfoys fled the scene rather than fight for the good guys or the bad guys. None of them can be relied on for anything. Bad faith.

Aaron

And speaking of Malfoys, you guys missed something important! When Voldemort asked if Harry was dead and Narcissa went to "check" him, she saw that he was faking. She asked him if Draco was still alive, and when Harry indicated he was, she lied to Voldemort and said that Harry was dead. It seemed like ya'll didn't pick up on that. It was very similar to Draco telling Bellatrix that he didn't know if the boy she'd captured with the swollen face (courtesy of Hermione's quick thinking) was Harry, when he definitely did recognize him, and Harry even pointed that out later on. Both Draco and his mother clearly believed that Harry was key to getting rid of Voldemort, which was a necessity as Voldemort had become a threat to their family. Voldemort was also just significant levels of evil beyond where even they wanted to go. The Malfoys were vicious assholes, but Voldemort was a monster. Like other morally dubious characters in the series, the Malfoy's redeeming factor was that they did love some people (namely, each other). This set them apart from Voldemort, who didn't have any love at all. So, while they didn't exactly have huge, heroic character arcs where they renounced their previous ways, they DID end up on Harry's side, and they did choose to take the risk of protecting him several times.

Ukyo

I wish the movies had included the explanation that the reason Harry needed to live with the Dursleys was that their blood relationship extended the protection of Lily's sacrifice to their place as long as it was Harry's home (and until he came of age at 17). Dumbledore told Petunia that Harry would have this protection if she took him in. It puts a lot of things in a new light.

Ukyo

This is during the battle, before Harry 'dies', " ' I'm Draco Malfoy, I'm Draco, I'm on your side!' Draco was on the upper landing, pleading with another Death Eater. Harry Stunned the Death Eater as they passed. Malfoy looked around, beaming, for his saviour, and Ron punched him from under the Cloak. Malfoy fell backwards on top of the Death Eater, his mouth bleeding, utterly amused.

Mykailah

The Draco throwing the wand at Harry wasn't in the books, however there is a quote to say that Draco did stick around at Hogwarts after Neville's speech and his parent's were running through the school looking for Draco. After Voldemort was dead, the Malfoys, including Draco were sitting with the survivours in the Hall. " Along the aisle between the tables he walked, and he spotted the three Malfoys, huddled together as though unsure whether or not they were supposed to be there, but nobody was paying them any attention."

Mykailah

You should also definitely look at the trailer for the Hogwarts Legacy game. It's an open world HP game that cames out late this year. You get to create the character you play too. Looks amazing. Oh and another thing(i was just reminded while rewatching your dh part 2 reaction) if you watch the Snape/ McGonagall fight closely you can Snape send her attacks behind him to the death eaters behind him, knocking them out, and as he leaves you see his black mist jump to each one. (He takes their wands)

I personally Loved Cursed child. and as some one who watches the Flash, some of the personality differences make sense, like Cedrics. Change the past you change the future as well as peoples personalities. I know a lot of people think it's weird Who the main villain's parents are but it actually makes complete sense. Just because you're unable to love does not mean you don't have the same basic human need like intercourse. As for FB, LOVE them too. and Yea some of the timeline is fucked but JK has said she's bad with dates, its her bad memory that's messed it up. But still, most of the continuity errors could easily be explained.

Brittany Lewandowski

I think Dumbledore purposely let Draco become the owner of the Elder wand because he knew it would end up as Harrys in the end. Possibly knowing it was the only way for it not to end up having allegiance to Voldemort. As far as Narcissa, theft is enough to change a wand Allegiance( as thats how Grindlewald became it's master). Two reasons it probably didn't go to her is 1. Since she took Dracos original wand it may have only caused that wand to become hers, not the elder one too. 2. The wand the Wizard, I don't think it would have chosen Narcissa( A literal Nazi), and would have negated the other factors. Draco wasn't evil so the wand making him it's owner makes a lot more sense. Killing some one can make the wands allegiance change to that person but Snape didn't beat Dumbledore as his death was planned between them.

Brittany Lewandowski

I love how Oak went from barely tolerating watching the movies for the first two to consuming everything he could find about the HP world. We knew it was coming. Lovely to see. All of you are wonderful reactors and it was a pleasure to watch you fall into this world. I will say that I really enjoyed the first Fantastic Beasts movie but the other two a little less. I think you should go into them not expecting to feel the same way at all for several reasons. First, it's set long before the Harry Potter films so the affinity you feel for watching these characters is not there. Second, there is something very special about watching young children figure things out and grow up. Most of the people in the Fantastic Beasts films are fully grown adults. it's simply a different feel. Very worth watching as long as you don't go into it expecting to get the same feeling as the original movies.

Jain Thorne

I love the tea cup scene! It warms my heart the growth dudley made! I wish it had made it to the deleted scenes at least!

Meghan Renee

Your not wrong her relationship with petunia was troubled, in the books (if I remember right which I might not) we find out she was jealous. She wanted to go to hogwarts too but she didn't have magic and she wrote to Dumbledore and he denied her entry and she never forgave her sister for being a witch. But before that I believe they had a loving relationship up until lily turned 11. I am currently rereading the series but I believe this comes up between 5 and 7 I can't remember but it was a big chunk of information that got removed and didn't even get a deleted scene 😭😭 Siblings fight and I think deep down petunia may have wished they would reconcile one day, but then Lily died.

Meghan Renee

Oh and Oak should look into the fan theory about Crookshanks

important nobody

I agree that I wish that they had left in the scene with Petunia and Dudley but not just for the relationship that they have with Harry. It's also good because it helps explain why Hermoine is erasing all memory of herself from her parents. Harry makes clear that the Death Eaters will torture them for information so Hermoine is making the sacrifice to protect them. As for Petunia, I think she had a mixed relationship with her sister as you see from Snape's memory when Peturnia calls Lily a freak. I think the troubled relationship was more because they feared magic so much that they hoped to squash all signs of it in Harry. I also like the scene where they explain that they track people by them saying the name Voldemort. That explains how the Death Eaters found the three of them so quickly in the cafe after they escaped the wedding. They said his name and a few minutes later the two hunters show up. Also, you were wondering where the beach where Debby is buried is. It's in Wales. I saw a British reactor (Veggie Gamer) who traveled to the beach and left a painted rock. There were hundreds of rocks there. The one that made me laugh was one painted "It should have been Harry". That would have ended the series rather abruptly...haha.

Jain Thorne

I loved the Petunia scene and I also wished they would've kept it in. As for Dudley, there is a nice and subtle moment with him in the books: On the morning of Harry’s final departure from Privet Drive, Dudley leaves a cup of tea outside Harry’s bedroom. Harry steps on the cup, breaking it, having not realized it was there. At first, Harry believes that the cup was “Dudley’s idea of a clever booby trap”, but then, after speaking to Dudley, he realizes it was an act of kindness (DH3). "There was a crunch of breaking china: he had trodden on a cup of cold tea that had been sitting on the floor outside his bedroom door" (DH2). "It now dawned on Harry, however, that the cup of cold tea on which he had trodden that morning might not have been a booby trap at all" (DH3). It's subtle, but Dudley tried to be nice to Harry.

Miss_CJ

I would love for you guys to listen to or read the books and do a comparison. The audio books are word for word the same as the book. Jk Rowling was very strict about it because she said kids could be following along learning to read. There's actually a story of the guy doing the audio books and the phrase "he pocketed it" came up and he kept stumbling on it. So he called her and asked if he can say "he put it in his pocket" and there was a pause and she just said no. That phrase made an appearance in every book since. Also she toyed with the idea of having Dudley on the platform at the end, like he had a magical child, but decided against it. She did state after the books she felt Harry and his family visited Dudley and his family on holidays. Oh and if you want your heart broken watch the part where it's discovered Harry is alive, but look at George he turns his head and starts to say Fred. Awful.

I hope the link works... She said Draco never had a heart of gold. https://www.google.com/amp/s/time.com/3644311/jk-rowling-harry-potter-draco-malfoy/%3famp=true

My least favorite Harry Potter anything is The Cursed Child. I just CAN NOT get on board that our characters would act the way they do in that show/book. I would love to see you guys review that and hear your thoughts, even though I dislike it doesn't mean I don't want to hear other opinions. I've heard alot of potter fans have trouble with it too...probably because it wasn't fully written by Rowling. But people have similar issues with fantastic beasts as it does not follow a preset timeline. So maybe a video on the Cursed Child and see what yall think

Meghan Renee

I think JK said she don't think that Draco deserves a redemption. If i find it again i will send a Link.

Ori_gina_lart

I would LOVE more potter content. Fan theories are always fun. But I would love to see you guys dive into some history/lore like one of my favorite things is seeing the family trees, and they touch on that In The 5th movie with the black family tree. But like voldemorts family tree is WILD and some Wizarding families are related distantly and you would never have guessed. Harry's family history is interesting. Its just really INTERESTING (without giving spoilers lol) There is a new game coming up that is going to revolve around goblin revolution. And there is so much information that Rowling gave us when potter was over. She made pottermore and it gave us SO MUCH extra content, backstory on Dumbledore, McGonagall, a whole backstory on Remus lupin and when he was bit, and how he grew up and his life before and after hogwarts. The lore and history would be my favorite to see from you guys but there is so much you would probably have to commit to a series. I mean I wouldn't be mad. 😆

Meghan Renee

It's never spelled out if it's actually about defeating anyone; it's literally only disarming that's shown to matter. Draco sure didn't defeat Dumbledore (who wasn't putting up a fight at all, and you could even say he let Draco disarm him), and since Harry wouldn't have been in a position to object to Narcissa taking the wand, it could easily have counted as disarming.

Marina

Harry Disarmed Draco, Harry Defeated Draco and took his wand. Narcissa simply took the wand, she didn't defeat Harry so the Elder wand didn't shift to her. The Elder Wand is not flaky.

Brittany Lewandowski

I think its implied that Petunia and the Dursleys didnt treat Harry bad because he was the reason she lost her sister .. they treated him bad trying to stamp out the magic.. they were terrified of magic because if her sister hadnt been involved in it all she would have still been here AND there was the chance that they all could come to the same fate if Harry was magical. Hence, in a screwed up kind of way. They were trying to protect Harry and themselves.

Thomas

About Draco and the wand, aside from character reasons (which could be argued about) I did wonder if the wand scene was cut because of a more obscure logistical reason, which would be chain of succession for the elder wand. Basically, Harry is the owner of the elder wand at the point where he lets Voldemort kill him, and he's carrying Draco's wand (which he'd been using as his own.) Presumably, for Draco to later throw Harry his wand, he had to get it back; likely Narcissa would've taken it off Harry's 'dead' body, and handed back to Draco when he joined her and Lucius, just before Harry revealed he was alive. But, with how flaky the elder wand's allegiance is (we know it switched over to being Harry's simply because Harry physically took Draco's wand out of his hand at Malfoy Manor), that might've created a continuity problem, because the elder wand may have then belonged to Narcissa. I doubt this was the real reason the scene was cut, but I can't help but wonder if someone did think about this as a potential issue.

Marina

yea exactly, I think it showed him how much of a bully he'd always been.

Brittany Lewandowski

Dudley and Harry actually stayed in touch, sent holiday cards to each other and their kids played together. 1 reason they didn't leave the Draco scene in is Daniel couldn't catch the wand and I think the other is ultimately because it doesn't happen in the books. But I think they should have put it in the film regardless. This 5 second video makes it more obvious he's throwing him a wand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6m4vuT_pME
