Research about Rabbit Holes:
Added 2022-03-06 13:10:11 +0000 UTCWhen I started OldSunset my vision was to create a 0% cardboard world with all commercial lots open. Very recently, this proved to be a negative in terms of performance and functionality.
The police station would become less interactive as we could not arrest thieves. The bookstore just wouldn't make sense, being a whole lot made up of just one cashier. And what about the Grocery Store, with no real items that could be acquired... If eventually these lots were only Consumed (ie your Sim would not be interested in working on it) their existence would be justified. But if you worked, there wouldn't be much to play with.
So today's survey is whether you prefer open lots without extraordinary functionality and relatively repetitive gameplay or would you prefer me to keep the structure but closed? This would turn them back into Rabbit Holes, make the game more fluid, generate MUCH fewer npcs and keep you focused on what really matters.
